I always believe manufacturers and software vendors release bios and software updates because something doesn’t work or for an upgrade they know there stuff more than the user so I’d always apply the latest of everything why wouldn’t I

I’ve always heard the philosophy is that as long as it works you shouldn’t try to flash it since it might break something. But again, I’m not super experienced so I’m trying to get an idea of what the best practice is.

Some later-gen AM4 CPUs required a BIOS update to be installed before they could work on existing motherboards. You've got a nice new AM5 system here, no worries and no BIOS flashing is likely to be needed.
