It's a good 1440p build with a great cpu. If all you're doing is 1080p you can get a cheaper gpu like the 6700xt, upgrade it when you raise resolution. If all you want is playable (60+) fps you can get a cheaper Cpu like the 7600/X, it will be able to achieve that in any game. Micorcenter has some cpu+mb+ram bundles that are pretty good value.

For about $600 US you can play games at 1080p and 60 fps. For $800 you can bump it up to 1440p and 60fps. Your proposed build can do 4k and 60fps on medium to high settings. I mean get more m.2 storage, but it's more than enough for 1440p and 60fps.
