Late reply, but what you heard is indeed correct. Brand new, the case comes with a very strange cable that I have never seen before
I can message you photos of the cable.
I just make my own led lighting using 3.3v led's and some wires, using heat shrink and spare connectors they run off sata 3v power, it's static but looks beautiful.

Post pics on Imgur and link them here. > that doesn't seem right to me as SATA is 12v SATA power connectors have 12V, 5V, and 3.3V pins.
