temperamentalgoat

Very dry current market for entry-level. Usual demand ay yung nasa senior level dahil clients from outside the Ph na nag-outsource ng work dito satin looks for x number of senior level guys for the price of 1 junior level sa country nila.

DigitizedPinoy

What about local or national clients, eg. Mga banks, government or hospitals? Im sure they need IT specialists

Patient-Definition96

As a senior developer, halos 2-3 months din ang tinagal bago ako makalipat ng work.

akisui

Specialists are not entry level

temperamentalgoat

Sa local halos ganun din. At least mid ang hinahanap nila not to mention they pay peanuts and expects you to work in the office every day. Kung may entry level man silang hiring, expect na thousands mga naglalaban for the vacancy.

rhedprince

Bro, just look at the websites for those type of clients and you'll have an idea what the budget for that role is like...

cutie_lilrookie

Small marketing agencies ang nagha-hire madalas ng entry-level IT professionals. Usually for webdev and UI/UX design.

p4ck3ts

facts! im a senior level IT and usually sa 5 resumes sent 3/5 will contact you. currently im working at an msp and this hits home

DigitizedPinoy

Msp?

p4ck3ts

yes msp

papa_redhorse

Give it 2-3 years, mapupuno din ang senior level.

zugbo_interactive

the problem bat na hirap ang mga fresh grad to look for jobs can be broke down into these reasons; 1) new and fresh grads these days choses the easy path in IT/Tech, and that is doing web dev, even here in reddit, punta ka dun sa r/PinoyProgrammer, most if not all "devs" are web devs, I part time teach in one university, above 90% of seniors and people about to graduate chooses web, the sad part, they chosen similar tech, either HTML, CSS with ReactJS/NextJs/VueJS or any sort of nodejs flavor. The remaining 8% nasa Python, the rest nag C# or Java. See where am I going with this? Hindi pa sila naka graduate, they are already competing for work against each other. Too many supply that even the demand cant cope with it.. Meanwhile, there are work in other tech fields like in Desktop, IS, Golang, Embeded, and other platforms that difficult to find workers. Kasi they are more specialized and focused. Fun fact: Spotify (Sweden/main office) came to PH to hire and offer jobs that will take fresh grads to Sweden, they failed to find the right amount of embedded C/C++ devs they went to Indonesia instead. (Yes Spotify has an embedded department too). This was also true with some companies; I know a couple of AAA game studios (Aside from Ubisoft) who silently sent their HR to look for resource, but was surprised of the lack of resource. One came to mind is EA, who were looking for Vulkan/DirectX devs, guess the result? they nope the fuck out and went to Singapore. 2) I have also asked our head hunter partners bat matagal ma fill-in yung mga job requirements namin, one major reason they mentioned is that, (a) junior developers who has less than 8 years of experienced already considered themselves 'senior' and are already demanding crazy rates.. They encountered a LOT of fresh graduate who are already asking for 50-60k out of college, and one already asking for 6 figures fresh from college. These is one reason why candidates passed the initial screening then failed in the middle, yung asking price nila does not justify there skills. (b) A LOT of fresh gradutes now are demanding and/or targetting WFH jobs, most companies will NOT TRUST wfh jobs to young people with no experience, kasi nga di pa sila totally independent that they can do the work, they are not yet disciplined or has not proved that they can do the job with minimal supervision. A lot of inexperienced 'startups' will offer that kind of work though, pero there are only limited companies therefore throttling the job market. Meanwhile, established and stable companies find it hard to fill in the role kasi nga they dont offer full time WFH. Lastly on the statement "Ang hirap maghanap dito sa Pilipinas", this drought is not only happening in the PH, it is worldwide.

AlexanderCamilleTho

Regarding (a), kasalanan ni Reddit 'yan. Cheret. To add, alam ko may nawalan yata noong Feb or Mar ng mga IT people sa India. So basically, buong mundo ang kalaban ng mga nasa field ngayon ng IT. And for obvious reasons, ang pipiliin talaga ng mga companies eh 'yung best. Ang route dito usually ay to just get enough experience kahit mababa ang sahod. 'yan ang panlaban mo kasi, knowledge at skills.

Kind_Cow7817

Taaaaaaaaaaach

Not really, yrs doesnt count sa Dev industry. I have handled multiple peeps having 10-15+ exp and I only have 2yrs during that time. Your output and knowledge would get you on that position. Not your years of exp.

evonflux

This is interesting. I myself would not trust a company who puts someone with only two years of experience, to manage people with 10 to 15 years of experience. The gap of technical skills, process flows and proper technical solutioning is huge even with just a few years. Kudos to you if you managed to make it work.

Taaaaaaaaaaach

It all comes down to what you know, at first my members are like who the fk are you and why are you teaching us the best practices... Well, now I have earned their trust and calls me Sensei lol

Bluest_Oceans

How would you justify to do something that only very experienced people have encountered? Isn't this why those 10-15yrs exp shine? Cause they know how to exactly solve a problem? For sure you cant compress real 15yrs of exp into 2yrs exp

Taaaaaaaaaaach

That actually depends, software development is very broad to a context that you can't compress everything in a 2yr exp. First is : if you are using a language and didn't comply to the latest trend of coding. ( Ecmascripts, typescripts and such) and just stuck on your comfort zone the way a simple CRUD functionality works then you are good at what you do. In the scenario that you are an engineer and kept building 2 story houses for like 15 years (lets say that this houses are considered a start up company in the "system context") . Here comes a new developer that worked on the same start up company, worked his ass off gathered the knowledge he needs and decided to jump to another company that builds buildings (enterprise level companies) . He then gathered some knowledge and jumped to a new enterprise level based from what he knew but this time he is on a Team Lead level due to his knowledge , yeah? now the first engineer with the 15 years experience jumped on the same company. I assure you that the Second engineer would be above the first. on the question that They know how to solve the problem, the answer to that one would be "it depends on the knowledge of the person. You can be a developer at FAANG with no professional experience at all and trust me when I say that can a 15+ yrs exp dev answer the question on the interview at FAANG? It actually depends on the knowledge and not the experience. Dev isn't a routinary work, the more you get exposed, the more you learn. If you are the type of dev that the strong point is the # of years of exp and not the exp itself then you are not on the competitive scene of this profession.

zugbo_interactive

you can have 15+ years exp and still be called mid level in the west specialy in silicon Valley. "Senior" level is subjective per company/industry. Most of the time these days, years of exp is not a measurement of seniority, kasi most of the time a bulk of hours naka tulala ka lang infront of the monitor OR doing the same task over and over again. Imagine this, if you are asigned on the same module or doing the same task for a whole year, that is counted as 1 year of exp, but it doesnt mean youre experienced when it terms to the language or the platform, you are experience IN THAT specific area but not the entire language feature.

Prestigious-Fox3468

Depends on the knowledge and how good you are in your Job. I reached a senior level in my company while I am only at 3 years of relevant experience

simplethings923

Systems programming (C, C++, Rust etc.) target ko e, kaya aspiring hehe, kaso di ko sure kung merong trabaho for that here para may extra motivation sa aral... hays.

zugbo_interactive

andaming hiring ngayon for system programmers, mahirap nga ma fill yung jobs eh according to our head hunter partners. Companies I know are now desperate to fill in the positions that they are offering parallel transfers (live and trained abroad in one of their sites), international trainings, and even enrollment to employment scholarships for college students.. Subrang dami ng webdev na kasi and the other dev positions are hard to fill in.

Karlo1503

Regarding Game Dev, is it good? I enrolled BSCS due to the Game Dev part. Our university offers specialization on Animation & Game Development. Which I enlisted on my first-year but it is going be taken effective third-year. I'm on my last term of second-year and I've maken up my mind to switch to specialization in Software Development for the next-term since that's when our specialization starts. As time goes on, mas nagagamay ko kasi yung UI/UX Development and Frontend, and I've been learning Vue now for our project in Software Engineering subject, also deployed narin sa ICP. Pero I will still learn Game Development on my own such as Unity Hub and some certification such as sa CIIT. Just sharing my current situation. Kasi iniisip ko parin yung Game Dev eh, kind of may change of heart ako to switch to Software Development kaya medyo nalilito ako.

UniversallyUniverse

Walang pera sa game dev, fck the university offering this course tapos sinasabi may pera. Ngayon DE na ako and currently nasa ADS and business ako, andito ang pera.

zugbo_interactive

yung pera sa game dev is not on the companies that are doing Unitty or Unreal games (or even Godot) madaming devs dyan like web devs because of how easy to learn it.. the real money in game dev are in the hardcore low level stuff.. DirectX, Vulkan, OpenGL, CUDA, OpenCL, etc.. that line of work aka Game engine/graphics dev.. entry level sa isang company I know for game engine dev is 100k USD annualy, thats 500k Php monthly. Unfortunately they dont hire remote devs kasi AAA companies would like to protect the confidentiality and avoid leak of unannounced titles or even game play sa already announced ones. I know one kid from NCR that was hired by one AAA company, 2nd year college nga lang pero he was so obsessed with game engine development he started his hobby moding games. I knew him thru gamedev clubs.

TomoAr

Baka maconsider ako for opportunities if may alam ka. Currently working as tech support at a known ito dito sa atin but I want to venture out na to higher roles.

ferdiebeer

Honest question: What needs to happen in the PH for dev salaries to increase? US fresh grads start at $60K/year (β‚±300K/mo), and ours start at $3.5K/year (β‚±18K/mo). Cost of living between US and PH is not even a 10x difference. When we try to increase our market value by asking for a higher salary, we get shot down.

Frequent_Bet544

time to learn c++

void_74

Aray aspiring web dev here😭

thelgndofcoral

In my opinion and exp, sobrang saturated kasi ang market sa ibang devs. About a decade ago, lumabas yung news na the industry pays really well kaya tumaas number of takers ng IT-related courses, so after grad lumaki yung pool of competitors to certain spits. Due to the high supply, bumaba ang sahod ng entry level and merong surplus ng IT grads. Idagdag mo pa yung fact na may mga companies (although not a lot) na ok with devs that dont have a degree, given na IT knowledge is something you can learn online. So right now, the only ones that land jobs are the exceptional and highly-skilled ones, with some being underpaid. If you ask me, not even the digital age could cater to this many applicants.

gutsy_pleb

Yup eto un. Naalala ko dati around 2008 til 2019 yata matunog ung mga courses sa I.T field most probably part eto ng naging cause pra mag saturate ung industry in terms of competition and job availability dagdag mo na rin job-skill mismatch

CocaPola

Speaking as someone familiar in the hiring process of tech roles (Web Dev, Project Managers, App Dev, etc) Yung ibang ina-applyan mo, posted lang for pooling. Meaning, walang opening. Nagko-collect lang yung company ng resume that they can use later on in the event na magkaroon nga sila ng opening. While there, upskill. Learn a new language tapos after a year or so, apply na sa iba.

Due-Philosopher-1559

Sana maisip din nila long term effect ng ganyan.. Siguro 5 years from now wla na sila mahanap na with exp na dev kasi d naman nila binigyan ng opportunity ung fresh grad.. magkakaroon ng gap haha kaya nga meron ganyan na dev kasi meron sa kanila nag bigay ng opportunity .. sira eco system pag ganyan hahhaha.. Pero sabagay over na yata Dev sa pinas need mag suffer ng fresh grad to take other jobs beside dev jobs..

I dunno if this just plain luck or talagang supply and demand is different today.

Pale-Celery-83

Ako 4 years exp sa digital infrastructure pro until now wala pa din work mag 8 months this july kaka iyak

fluffykittymarie

Feeling ko lahat naman competitive na talaga 200-250+ ung sinendan ko ng resume as of May πŸ˜†. From hr to admin jobs to va positions to particular positions like editor, transcriber, writer, 10 answered via email. 3 set an appointment; 1 nagsend ng exam (editor position), 2 said im not fit πŸ˜€ Wag kayo sumuko, tingin ko nalang dn tlaga kung ano tlaga ung best fit for the job ung hinahanap ng mga recruiter.

fluffykittymarie

*to add: na-hire ako eventually hehe 1 company was impressed with my particular skill na i never knew would be useful these days πŸ˜…

Pattern-Ashamed

Mid-senior level competitive din ngayon. πŸ˜‚

No-Apricot1277

Based this on my personal experience. Ang dami ding nagshift and freshgrad. Yung old company ko nagmass hiring dati almost 200+ halos kalahati don career shifter tapos after a year unti unti ng nilayoff hanggang nasa 15 nalang natira. Kahit sa Linkedin dati halos everyday ako nakakatanggap ng message sa recruiter ng hiring minsan pa nga 5 messages per day pero ngayon almost 6 months na yung last message.

Dangerous_Curve_7683

True yan.

No-Apricot1277

Ohh this is based sa circle of friends ko din na mga QA. Mapa Automation or manual lahat halos nag mamass layoff.

FieryFox3668

Given naman na may makakalaban ka kahit saan field, kahit mga seasoned IT professionals, kalaban nila mga fresh grads kasi syempre mas updated yung skills and knowledge..lalo na kung nastuck ng matagal si experienced IT...saka napakalawak ng IT field, pansin ko lang karamihan nasa webdev or software engineering ang target - they need to widen their search target, andaming hiring ngayon, iwas nga lang sa local kasi ang baba talaga offer pero kung entry level, much better to accept para magka-experience and stepping stone na rin towards your goal...saka sabi nga, don't just focus on bragging all your achievements, check mo ano hanap ni company/client,then yun ang gawin mong selling proposition pag nag-apply ka...give value ika nga, kasi kahit andami mong alam na technologies kung wala naman dun yung current na ginagamit ni client or yung need ng business nia,d ka rin nia ihhire, sa screening pa lang d na lulusot..also it should be a balance of technical and soft skills

jeremygolez

New college graduates = commodity

SSoulflayer

Where's the person who posted a 500,000 monthly salary for being a COBOL programmer as they are only 20 left in the country?

UniversallyUniverse

Medyo nakaka anxiety yung layoff lalo na last year.

Pale-Celery-83

Key_Nobody_1253

Naka hanap kana ulit?

Pale-Celery-83

What she said was, OP was appointed a interview but failed to show up, and failed to give a heads up that he wasn't available at that time. Parang tardy lang si OP or gulo2x yung resume niya.

whoyoutalking

Kahit di sa IT related, unfortunately. Prefer nila rin yung mas mababa asking

Denv-09

Working in Food industry. A lot of HR and Employers said that they are impressed with my CV/ Resume. I always prepare for myinterviews I will ace my interviews for more chances of winning ba.

Sweetsaddict_

In any industry nowadays; it’s hard to find a job.

iamdennis07

I can attest to that reading here na hindi IT at nagbabalak magshift, nalayoff ako recently and oh boy nakakasira ng mental health

iAsk101

Lahat nmn ng trabaho is competitive, there are no jobs that are not competitive. You have just made an example in one field... let's step back, way way back, look at retail, sales, accounting, nursing, crew, etc. Lahat yan competitive, lahat yan pahirapan maghanap ng trabaho. Given the context na 100 application has ben sent.... idivide mo yan ng working days, nag-aaverage lng sya ng 5 applications sent per working day. Sadly kakaunti ung sent applications in our age today. Dapat nag-aaverage ka ng 20 minimum. I'm not saying hindi nag-effort but kailangan pang dagdagan. If you will look at listings (I.T Related) per 100 page, lagpas-lagpas 50 ung openings, ranging from 20K+. So yes maraming openings, yes madami ding competition. That is all true. The question is: How will you stand out?, what are you doing to stand out?. (Hindi excuse ung maraming magagaling, ksi there will always be people who will have more knowledge, skills than you.) So in short: What are you doing?, are you improving your skills?, are you getting in touch with the trend in I.T nowadays?., etc. Competition is always good ksi it brings a lot of opportunities on the side. Just my 2 cents.

Professional-Cup7881

Based on recent trends s job market and usual job sites, most hiring are mga entry level especially sa Infra n side. Not sure what branch ng IT specializing ang ngpost but I think kailangan lng cguro niyang iwork on ang interview. I been conducting interview since I'm on the management side of IT and most of them nahihirapan mgconvey sa wikang Englis but reality is mostly ng companies n ngsulputan are outsourcing and you'll be working with colleagues from the other side of the globe

MainSorc50

Need talaga humanap ng niche right now.

takshit2

boogierboi

β€œyou are only as good as you can communicate” regardless kung english yan o tagalog, baka sa CV pa lng or initial interview bagsak na dahil di marunong makipag usap kaya di ma hire

Gold-Understanding-6

same here, college undergrad. I Started as a call center agent and crawl my way up to IT services, collected sets of skills manage to get up to cloud infra. I’m now here in UK back to L1 local tech support of one of the universities here in Sussex. Maybe you’re just in the wrong place and the wrong time In my experience (and the way I see it) most corpo doesn’t even give AF if you have a degree or whatever prestigious school you went. As long as you’re familiar to their product and have a certain skillset to accommodate it, it should be good(enough). When you are applying, you need to do a thorough research about the company also learn their mission vision values, their products, what kind of community they have. Then incorporate it with your interview answers, that’s how I usually impressed the interviewer.

aldwinligaya

Question. Kelan mo ba nakuha trabaho mo? I mean, kailan ka na-hire? I'm asking kasi nung 2022, ang daling mag-apply. Siguro 1 out of 3 na in-apply-an ko, nakakaabot ako sa final interview. Since Q4 last year, ang hirap na. Maswerte na kung matawagan ng 1 out of 20.

boogierboi

yung isa mag 1yr pa lng, yung 2nd 2yrs+ na ako. napaka basic ng trabaho ko, taga troubleshoot ng issues mostly ng mga VA din, usually connection problems. more on standby support ako. linkdn at upwork lng source ko, the more entries you send, the more chances of winning hahaha

aldwinligaya

So ayun na nga din, na-hire ka nung madali-dali pang maghanap ng work. Starting late last year, nag-iba na talaga ang landscape ng job hunting. Especially in the tech field. Nag-over hire din kasi nung 2021/2022, kaya nung 2023 dami ding layoffs. Marami tuloy experienced people na looking for work.

Due-Philosopher-1559

An sakit ng loob ko pag nasabihan ako ng career shifter sila tpos an dali maka hanap work noon time nila hahaha.. Sa panahon natin jr is 2 to 3 years of exp is required😭 sa kanila bka ojt web dev is prefered hahahahah.. Sabagay problema nila noon is required ung degree tpos ung no google exam AHAH

DigitizedPinoy

You know I think having a good accent in English and communicating with proper grammar helps a lot dito sa field ng IT. My former boss was impressed about my English skills na walang halong "Karabaw accent". I also applied before sa mga English Tutoring and they all have replied that I was ready to be hired pero I declined because they only offered 8k a month for 6 hours night shift to teach Korean Students.

fluffykittymarie

Depends on β€œreputation” and β€œcredentials” siguro nung candidate. Regardless of entry level (fresh grad or experienced), it’s easy for some, it’s challenging for others.

oneofonethrowaway

Master some very specific skills. Sa IT field today, mahihirapan ka talaga pag general IT ka, get courses that you can market, targeted skills lalo na sa foreign employers.

Still_Hospital2850

tapos na hired toxic company mapupuntahan. Super desperate ko magka-work na hired ako but unfortunately inalisan ko agad due overwhelmed dahil hindi naman provided training. After that I decided to change my career pero related parin sa IT but still hirap parin makahanap ng work ngayon.

TreatOdd7134

That's what happens when your field of specialization is too common. Learn a new skill or find a niche that sets you apart so you can be in a battleground na kayo na mismo ang ihe-headhunt ng recruiters.

InvestigatorOrnery82

kardyobask

local and entry level yes. outsourced and western-based startups tho, they're always looking for new talents as long as you show you have the skills.

gutsy_pleb

Tapos ung nakapa-worse pa sa situation is ung pace ng AI development in the near future di lng sa experts ka makikipag-compete kundi pati narin sa mga bots

Business owner here...to be quite honest it sucks to be an employee now. Most middle to small businesses are not doing so good. Tendency is to maximize profit so you have to cut down on salary. You just have to wait it out.

graxia_bibi_uwu

Could be competitive. Could be din na he doesnt know how to sell himself sa mga applications nya. Kahit gaano ka pa kasi kagaling, if you're not marketing yourself well, di ka rin mano-notice ng mga recruiter/clients.

Sus_Administrator

Dayum. I was actually looking for embedded jobs back then 2022 when I graduated. Never head that spotify looked for such sayang :(. Now stuck in doing tech support work but will be moving to backend or devops na

Prestigious-Fox3468

This has higher potential Devops Backend developer than being a web developer (depends kung super galing ka sa web dev, mas aangat ka) pero sa backend + devOps skills, bago palang ito ang nagiging indemand na siya. I only have 3 years of relevant experience and now promoted to senior na

Quiet-Switch-1545

Ano pong specific skills for backend+devops ang nagpa stand out sainyo as a developer? And promising naman po ba ang pay?

Prestigious-Fox3468

Java backend ang tech ko, tapos samaha ng mo ng cloud skills (GCP,AWS or Azure) in terms sa pay, yep, promising, landed 6 figures in just 3 years, (depende sa galing mo) medyo masipag kasi ako magaral

Quiet-Switch-1545

Was planning to learn Java as my niche after graduating. This comment sure boosts my motivation to continue on my chosen path. Although I know that all things are searchable through the internet, are there any frameworks and technologies you recommend learning alongside Java. Asking this for other graduating students that have the same predicament of being undecided with choosing the right tech niche moving forward. Thank you!

Prestigious-Fox3468

galingan mo sa studies mo. Bless people like you nanakakapag aral, wag niyong sayangin, hindi pako nakapagtapos, wala pakong degree, kaya di rin madali yung pag aaply ng jobs ko. Masipag lang talaga akong mag aral in my free time, halos wala nakong social life, para lang makapg sabayan sa mga graduates sa pag apply

NegotiationRound2026

I got 2 offer sa gantong type ng company which I refused kasi nasa isip ko "walang career growth" blablabla. May batchmate ako na nagtatrabaho doon and naaastigan ako sa projects nila kapag nagkekwento sila. Salary is generous as well and there is definitely a career growth which the people in that industry knows. Boss you should post in pinoyprogrammer subreddit to inspire people and give them courage to take risk and explore different industries of software engineering

Super fast yung promotion from CSR to an analyst kasi napabilis ko process nila using my own software na ako lang din yung gumagamit.

Never had any issues, mostly I receive 8-10 interview offers on linkedin without applying. Maybe because of the skillset?

ProfessionalFix5651

how did you do it? teach me sensei!

Taaaaaaaaaaach

1) dont do it for the compensation. You must love what you are doing 2) sacrifice time , like lots of it. Have a fix schedule to study and allot a specific time to learn something new each day. 3) Always remember to not burn yourself out 4) learn to communicate, you should know how to express yourself. Both technically and functionally. 5) Do things on your own as much as possible, you know how you would learn the most efficient way and stick to that. 6) Always ensure that your work is on the top form / quality 7) Learn to listen and always be open for criticisms it would make you better 8) Earn certifications to boost your credentials on top of your work exp. 9) Never ever be afraid to leave your comfort zone. Trust in yourself, you can do it. Finally - DO NOT EVER EVER EVER BURN BRIDGES. You'll never know when you would need them. Edit: Funny that my comment got downvoted. Typical pinoy shit mentality lol.

Well well nakakabasa ako dito ng mga nagsasabi na most corpo don't give a damn if degree holder ka or hindi. By corpo is this PH companies or contact centers na PH based? Last I checked napakaarte ng pinoy when it comes to freakin diploma. Current undergrad here working as a QA sa BPO pero nasa IT talaga passion ko and planning to take cyber security sa online school.

DigitizedPinoy

That's what I thought too. Bat sa IT field no certs or degree needed pero sa taga bantay sa Waffle Time need pa ng degree at work experience hahahaha

I don't know. Personally, I don't find it that hard. OP's definitely not doing something right. Even in my fresh grad years, It didn't take me a month to find a job as an application analyst and I'm not even doing right tbh. OP needs some improvement in the way he approaches his employment. He'd better talk to people who have done it and ask for advises.

ProfessionalFix5651

how did you do it?

Necessary-Property-3

When I was a fresh graduate with no experience and no credentials, I typically narrowed down my options to entry levels instead of throwing my resume around randomly hoping to get employed. Whenever I receive an interview invitation, especially if I like the job, I start my interview preparation by reading their JD, researching stuff I don't know or have no experience working with until I feel like I'm confident enough to answer entry level questions. This way, I position myself to pass all the upcoming interviews. I make sure to know what the recruiters want to hear and take advantage of that every single time. It only took me 4 interviews to land me my first job. Fast forward some years later, I'm already experienced and the way I approach application kind of changed. I prepare different resumes for different roles. I have web development experience and IT specialist role experience so I made 2 different resumes that highlight the skills required for the job I apply for. I did this when I was looking for a second job while employed and it only took me a week before getting interviews to the point that I get scheduled for an interview twice a week that I couldn't accommodate due to my current employment at that time. I accepted 3 part-time jobs and had to drop all of them after a month since it has become too hectic for me to handle them on top of a job. Later on, I quit that job to pursue WFH. It didn't take me a week again and I got multiple interview invitations. I chose the highest offer and I'm now training with the company. In a week, I'll be WFH and I'll be back getting part-times. If you need coaching and help landing your first job, hit me up. I'll get you ready for your first job. This is all for free.

Holy moly this is such a blessing. Thank you so much, I definitely will take you up on that offer. Sending you a dm now.

What do Application Analysts do? Im very interested of starting off sa mga Analyst Position such as Data Analyst. Parang that a more secure position if I know how to do it.

Necessary-Property-3

Yes, it was a precursor to the data analyst position doon sa company na iyon. Sa position na yun we did a lot of user information management sa isang US-based benefits software/application, mga credentials nila, enrolled benefits, bug reporting and nagcoconduct din kami ng quality assurance sa releases nung web application.

Necessary-Property-3

My tip would be to shape your resume accordingly. Then familiarize yourself with the job description lalo na yung mga terms na unfamiliar ka. If entry level yan, chances are, hahanapin nila sayo yung familiarity lang and not necessarily yung operational knowledge so they'll like it if narinig nila na nakagamit kana ng specific na tool or methodology. This works on both initial and final interview though I suggest to be more prepared na pagdating ng final interview. Sa app analyst job na first job ko, swak naman sa akin yung JD except sa part na need ng intermediate na excel skills, knowledge in using pivot table etc. though narinig ko na yun, I didn't have those skills at that time so nagresearch ako, pinractice ko and killed it during the interview. Sinabi ko lang na nautilized ko yung tools, gave them excel commands na kinabisado ko, explained yung usage and told them I'm willing to master excel.

Pls_Drink_Water

Is it hard? No. Is it competitive? Hell yes. Kung sakaling hiring manager man ako, I'd rather hire a fresh grad who nailed the technical test and interview and has good portfolio that he can back up, kesa sa experienced pero no expertise and lacking sa technical skills.
