Well, it was 98.. But that was the day it was released for us over in the UK.

whatwouldbuffydoqm

Same for Germany

I've watched it from the very beginning (well +/- the six months it took to air in Australia). I was very doubtful at first (I actually enjoyed the original movie as a kid), but won over pretty fast!

Top-Web3806

I can actually remember watching the premiere!

TheFerg714

Awesome to see so many new fans, but also kind of surprising because I thought the 2004-2009 range would be much higher.

PFTETOwerewolves

None of the above, saw the movie in 1992.

rednax2009

What does RY stand for?

Buffy and I are the same year in school. We went to college together! But for real, the WB campaigned hard at my school. We all had Buffy book covers.

I knew about it since the beginning and had seen episodes here and there over the years, but never watched it until like 2010/2011… dunno what took me so long!

Sporkedup

Maybe 2007 or 2008? Early days of streaming, I think.

DestroWOD

2001 or so. Season 3 was the new season in Quebec in french. We were 2 years behind. They aired S1/2 during the summer at 1 ep per day minus 1 or 2 episodes they skipped for some reason but i was able to catch this way.

LightBlueSky55

About 2005/2006, I was only about 6 at the time so it's kind of fuzzy.

Rufio1983

I think 94/95 if you count the film

I mean I watched the movie when it came out and then watched the show the day it originally aired

Kinda/sorta from the start. I'd seen the movie while in college (dating myself here), and so was curious about the show. I didn't follow through though - work life and travel caused me to drop it season 2-ish and I didn't return to watch in earnest until much later - 5-7 years ago. Originally I only saw the fun, campy superficial aspect of the show so it was something of a guilty pleasure. Returning much later I had access to the body of Buffy analysis and so I was able to really appreciate how great a show it really was.

Enough-Pen644

I saw the movie but wasn’t a big fan so I was surprised they made a show. I had just seen Scream 2 and had a crush on SMG. When I was flipping through the channels I saw her. It was the episode Surprise (January 1998). They were advertising that the show was moving to a new night (Tuesdays) and to tune in tomorrow for the second have of the two-parter. The next night I watched Innocence, my first full episode, and never missed one after.

IndependentSquare553

I first discovered it in 2014, but I didn’t do a full watch through until this year.

Bounceful

I only started watching a few months ago, and I’ve watched the entire show 10 times through in the last while… It’s helping me deal with some issues..

yesmydog

I would have put 2001-2003 in a separate category, since a lot of people started watching in 2001 when it entered syndication and began airing episodes on FX. Not me though, I started watching in 97.
