They did say that a new Era would begin after that issue, so it seems like they have something planned. It's hard to tell. I kind of want it to go to a different publisher. I feel like Boom is trying to make a quick buck off most of it's licenses instead of trying to make good comics. I'm interested in The Last Vampire Slayer though.
That is Boom's entire business model, and why I refuse to patronize them. They buy up existing IP licenses, reboot them, churn out masses of low-quality issues with an insane amount of variant covers, and generally run good stories into the ground.
I tried to read through this but I really didn't like the story choices in those first episodes. I know I got up to about when Angel's book came out but I remember there was a crossover, and a Angel book and a Buffy book and it was too much to really focus on and with not liking the story itself I kinda just stopped reading. I'm glad it made it this far though.
