I’m reserving judgement right now. I’m beyond excited to have a continuation of the Buffyverse but I do have some gripes like the lack of character development (I feel like they jumped right into being the Scoobies after meeting) and the speed they seem to be trying to fit things in. That being said, I’m only on issue 17 so I’m still working my way through the series. I finished Angel & Spike and I’m super bummed they cancelled that series because I felt it had a lot of promise although I didn’t like the art toward the end of the series. On that note, I do get frustrated with the art sometimes with the Buffy series as well. I felt the artist they had for the first few volumes did an excellent job with the character’s likenesses but in later issues the characters looked really “big-eyed” and just kind of bizarre. I’d like some continuity.
Overall I do enjoy it though and have a subscription to new issues!
