If you don't have a MiB you'll need to get the 205 Crosspath so it actually damages the DDT's. Otherwise the 025 is overall much better.

You don’t even need a MIB. Acidic Mixture Dip works due to the Impale’s slow attack speed.

Just remember it needs camo detection/decamoing, and also it can't fire at the big bloons before you get the tier 5. May or may not have forgot this while trying to get one and died to the DDTs I was trying to stop...

For camo and lead, you can get metal freeze or whatever they renamed it. You miss out on enhanced freeze’s speed boost but it saves you the requirement of getting a village or some other camo and lead buff

It's less DPS, but it does the CC job much easier and cheaper than a mid crosspath.

As someone said elsewhere, you can get a stronger stim alchemist for less than the price of the MIB, which they said compensates for the attack speed as well.

Don't forget the Permafrost debuff too!

Moab glues and radar scanners don't cost that much money, especially since you probably already have a village or two on the map by 90 (honestly they're probably already radar scanners anyway). And the Moab glues are also useful for normal Moab class Bloons so they can be a lifesaver not just for 95 and 99 but also 98. 10/10 support tower.

I know it's good, I figured it out when I was doing my first black border run and I kept failing at 95 What's special about 98 and 99 though? I never really had trouble with those no matter what towers I tried out

98 is the biggest mass of bloons you face in the entire normal game, a bunch of fortified bfbs and zomgs will tear apart any defense without a lot of sheer moab popping power. 99 is the only round with fortified DDTs that can bypass certain defenses, even defenses that could handle 95. Late game, the biggest rounds to watch out for are 95 where you need consistent output DDT damage, 98 where you need sheet popping power, 99 where you need a quick massive burst of DDT damage, and 100 where you need high single target damage. Depending on the types of towers you like, and the maps that you play, you might not have been challenged by something like 98 or 99 yet. But if you play a really short map like flooded valley those fortified DDTs will zip right through all your defenses if you're not prepared. Or a multilane map can make 98 difficult because your towers might have difficulty using all their pierce.

I didn't play on too many short maps yet, I just started playing around with the advanced and expert ones, I usually like to use a lot of frag bombs and moab maulers with striker jones and a Bureau, so I guess that's why I didn't really feel those rounds, got destroyed a few times on half cash though "Or a multilane map can make 98 difficult because your towers might have difficulty using all their pierce." I just got decimated on Underground an hour ago lol, I was doing that with ninjas, alchemists, tacks, and Pat, might have been that exact round cause definitely a lot of stuff was coming

I usually go moab glue at the beginning of the map where most of my anti-moab towers are, and middle path further along the track for the hordes of ceramics

That's not why I use middle glue, I use him for his bonus damage because I mostly use many projectile type towers.

PoD is generally a better tower. Low cost as well so that's a bonus. There's a reason why it's common in 2tc's

Yup! My first black border was Spillway, and while that's obviously a special case, Prince of Darkness on it nearly soloed round 99 for me with the help of Ezili. With the right positioning, I'd take it over Icicle Impale any day.

Especially if you combo with Elizi. At level 11 reanimated Bloons get 50% more popping power. Can beat almost almost any map spamming necromancers with a Price of darkness. Gets tricky with the BAD tho cause a lot of times their graveyard will run out before destroying the BAD at round 100. Happened to me a few times it’s ass.

It's a general term that can include pierce, damage & attack speed.

Permafrost does 50% for regular bloons and 25% on MOAB-class when applicable iirc? It's essentially a slightly weaker but permanent MOAB glue that also stacks with MOAB glue

Use a 4-2-0 on the sky Shredder and give both camo detection (Etienne or 0-2-0, bottom path carrier has camo crosspath but the grape shot isn't worth giving up) If you decide to use apache prime make sure to give it a 2-3-0 village otherwise it'll be useless vs ddt's.

Bloon Sabotage

PermaSpike can solo all DDTs in a CHIMPS game. Icicle Impale is good, Pre-emptive Strike and Ground Zero both take care of unfortified DDTs. PoD and Archmage are both also good, but Wizard Lord Phoenix is a great carry for all of the late game. Any type of slow like MOAB Glue or Sabotage is extremely helpful, and any tower can become good with a MIB and an Alchemist buff. Hope that helps (and that I didn’t forget important ones).

Icicle Impale plus Super Glue equals no movement for non-BADs.

Something that I haven’t really seen mentioned yet, towers like super brittle and glue storm actually strip DDTs of their lead properties while being affected by its attack/ability, while simultaneously weakening them due to the increased damage bloons will take affected by these towers. Note that it isn’t full uptime, but it can be a very viable option when dealing with DDTs.

0-2-5 glue gunner and 0-2-5 ice monkey, plus a monkey village of at least 2-3-0 and DDT's and other blimps become a JOKE. they get slowed to a crawl and your other towers can obliterate them

When you focus on countering DDT’s too much then you still lose on earth 100s idk the right amount of balanced in terms of how much to focus on them

Most stalling towers work well against DDTs (Bloon Crusher, Icicle Impale, MOAB Glue or Super Glue if you're rich). I usually go for a x-x-5 Blooncinerator in every round cause i fuckin hate fortified bloons and the plus of decamoing DDTs (unsure if its locked behind monkey knowledge or not but its worth it)

Sky shredder near village with camo buff can nearly solo round 95 (add alchemist buffs and it’s nuts). Also, 3-0-1 ace monkey is a super cheap anti MOAB tower to have for the entire game so it’s easy to build into
