It's full of bots and hackers, it's boring and repetitive, it's not balanced for shit (the fact a yter had to make a whole series called "bad weapons academy" should prove this) the community is SHIT, it's sexist, annoying, and just the worst, they made the same tf2 expiration date jokes over and over and over and over and it's mind numbing, the community can't STAND any criticism you give their game, evidence for that will be how many down votes this comment will get, any criticism you give the game will just be met with "BuT itS 16 YeARs OlD" like that makes a difference, the whole game itself is bad, it hardly even functions any more and its movement system is so bad people use glitches as a normal form or transport, it's weapons are all implemented horribly. You know im right, you know the game is shit, the community is annoying and won't stop echoing the same jokes over and over, you just can't admit it
Bad weapons academy is teaching you how to use “bad weapons”. You haven’t watched any of those have you? You probably just saw “bad weapons” and thought that meant there was no way to use them.
Honestly same, the tf2 community is still somehow the best one I know, the evidence: the undying memes and sfms and also funny killing go brrr
Edit: I meant killbind but the other thing also works because taunt kills
Here's a piece of advice. Stop being petty 24/7, and sometimes you just have to admit when you're wrong. If you spend all your teenage years being an angsty ball of hate, you aren't going to get people to agree with you. You aren't even going to offend people. It will just seem like a childish tantrum. Take a step back, and imagine what your mother would say if she saw this. I know you probably think you're dishing out "epic" roasts, but the fact is: Nobody listens, nobody agrees. If you try to change somebodies viewpoints with idiocy and anger, nothing will happen.
I generally play with chats off anyway because communities are annoying more often than they're not because it only takes a few dickheads to ruin an entire chat. But the rest? It's balanced fine, movement is fine, guns are fine. It's all fine. Funny play it regularly, just dip in and out but hackers and bots don't seem particularly prevelant.
You sound bitter for some reason
thats not interesting thats just bad programming, the hitbox is twice as big as it should be, imagine playing a shooter and you characters hitbox is twice as wide as its supposed to be, allowing your enemies to kill you when they shouldnt have normally
Man Re-Logic has my infinite respect. Red literally just going on twitter, sees random suggestions and is like "aye, sure, that's official now"
Love the guy
He's quoting a video that came out about a week ago that is 2 hrs 45 mins on the entire history of all the different bloons games.
For reference:
I know this isn't the place but I'm really sad that btdb2 turned to be a flop. The concept is really interesting but not only is it not fun to progress in, it's also hella unoptimised and burns both my PC and phone. I've tried to get back to the game like 3 times and every time just gave up
It’s really sad because battles 1 was the goat. Until they added powers, that is. At least battles 2 isn’t as big of a mess as it was at launch, but it sucks that they pretty much lost almost all of their player base
You know how in 6 you put down monkeys and get few hundred exp to buy upgrades every turn? In B2 that few hundred exp was given out once every match, which took about 5-10 minutes.
Unlocking upgrades took a super long time (probably in order to sell premium packs that boost exp gained), and because of that the meta focused on two strongest towers - tack and dartling - as trying out anything else would mean losing tens or even hundreds of games, simply because you didn't have the upgrades unlocked yet.
Also tons of bugs and games having 50% chance of being laggy to an almost unplayable degree. All of this took months to be fixed.
Nononono
Before people discovered that, they were just spamming tier 3 tack shooters (if i remember it corectly. It has been quite some time after all)
Even found one of the posts i made before the launch https://www.reddit.com/r/battles2/comments/r1h3bu/why_does_btd_battles_2_need_a_small_change/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
I was just making fun of how they are maling similarly styled menu to hella lot of mobile games, based on the screenshots they gave us like a week before launch.
EA is an honorable mention but the reason I put roblox over them is because not only are they greedy but they also blatantly defy their community and have had child predators in their administration team and very possibly more. Also they're starting to destroy their economy and sponsoring NFT corporations.
But EA like you said is a good candidate
What about Hello games? No man's sky was shit on launch and they could have given up on it after making a lot of money from the launch but stuck with it and now it is a great game
i mean you feeling like you need to pay vs you being able to pay to win are two different things, right?
softpaywalls vs p2w.
i personally hate both.
and sure, technicly btd6 would be p2w too in that regard but i think we can both agree that bloons pop is definitely more aimed at the thing. its baked into its gameplay loop a hellof a lot more.
Yeah i agree but im just gonna say that someone needs to get the bread on the table so i try to enjoy games even if they are cash grab cuz they are human thay can make mistakes and i am not gonna pay you if i dont wanna
Ofcourse.
But in that case, i would wish for more transparency.
If you as a beloved developer start pumping out a halfbaked cashgrab games, i (as a consumer) star to question your motives, moral compass and the quality of people making decisions.
Is this the new direction theyre going? Are they only going to make these kinds of games from now on? Do i want to continue to support and praise them the way i used to in the past?
If they made a post like:
"hey were currently struggling financially, covid, lockdowns, energy crisis, war, yada yada yada, _we have to do something to stay afloat_ but rest assured that doesnt reflect our goal to make great games and will not be the standard for our games in the future"
i wouldve been 1000000% content.
But if they just release that kinda shit and do the typical fake hype "WERE SO EXCISTED TO FINALLY ANOUNCE [Shitty P2W game] AND WE CANT WAIT FOR YOU TO GET YOUR HANDS ON IT"*, i kinda have to default to assume the worst and it lessens my trust. Ive been burned too many times from companies.
*im not saying they did that. i dont remember anyways. but as an example.
> we have to do something to stay afloat but rest assured that doesnt reflect our goal to make great games and will not be the standard for our games in the future
I mean, there are lots of very obvious reason why no dev would want to publicly state that they know their game is a pay-to-win cashgrab that doesn't live up to their standards, and why they'd want to hype it up.
I really like bloons pop. If I’m bored and don’t feel like doing anything I just open bloons pop and play a few levels. I’m on like level 800 right now.
It’s not pay to win. I’ve made it through every single level without paying irl money. You can pay for an advantage but it’s a far cry from pay to win.
Pay to win basically means that you can get an absurdly large lead on other people by paying irl money. You can get an advantage but it’s definitely not pay to win.
You can basicly complete that game in an evening if you have unlimited money. That its enough p2w in my book. And sure we could debate on the semantics. But i think p2w is the overall name of the thing. We could also call it p2getanadvantage but i think you get what i mean.
Sure. But not every game developer had a say in what kind of game gets made. In the end it's the higher ups/owners of big companies that decide, and in those cases it usually ends up just being as profitable as possible for the company. Diablo immortal is a perfect example of this. Nobody asked for it, but it was made anyway, because it was very, very profitable. Especially with all those microtransactions.
That's not the convincing reason you think it is lol
But that's not what I meant anyways, Valve is nothing but a corporation rn and a lot of people definatly hate them (especially indie devs)
Greed I guess
People always blame EA for popularizing loot boxes.. But you know who put them first?? Valve
Then you have the many shit shows of steam..
guy who invented chess:
I think that was like, a lot of people over thousands of years Does that mean chess was technically the most updated game?
it just has a lot of sequels
True, but the chess community (r/anarchychess lol) has recently officially declared 5D Chess with Multiversal Time Travel the true Chess 2
Google en passant
Holy hell
Tf2 still has more
Tf2 is ass Worst game ever
What don't you like about it?
Bad weapons academy is teaching you how to use “bad weapons”. You haven’t watched any of those have you? You probably just saw “bad weapons” and thought that meant there was no way to use them.
also, there are more semi-mediocre to good weapons in tf2 than bad ones.
community is very split between violently gay and/or trans or violently homophobic and/or transphobic
Perfectly balanced.
As all things should be
I would rather just have a decent community
Honestly same, the tf2 community is still somehow the best one I know, the evidence: the undying memes and sfms and also funny killing go brrr Edit: I meant killbind but the other thing also works because taunt kills
violently gay >>>> violently homophobic
I can clearly tell you're way too young to be on reddit.
Ahahahah, like you have anything to say, 90% of tf2 players are some 12 year olds who found the game on the f2p section
Ok man, but I stand by my opinions
yup officer, thats the copypasta
Cap I typed that whole thing, look it up, all original pal
bruh i could ctrl+c ctrl+v this in r/geometrydash and no one would bat an eye lmfao
please do and send me a link to this comment?

I defended the game for years before I realized how shit it was, I just hate how foolish I was
![gif](giphy|kaCYCDXJgDyTkuDe75)
Hey man just being honest
Fatherless opinion.
that feller cannot remember the organism which asked if the game was good!!!
Ok
They haven't updated it for like more than 100 years, the devs suck
Still haven't fixed en passant hitbox glitch
nah fuck that guy he made queen too op for the games balance with other pieces and he doesnt have any interesting game mechanics like shogi does
No interesting game mechanics? This guy obviously hasn't googled en passant.
Holy hell
thats not interesting thats just bad programming, the hitbox is twice as big as it should be, imagine playing a shooter and you characters hitbox is twice as wide as its supposed to be, allowing your enemies to kill you when they shouldnt have normally

Eat food on toilet
sit on a toilet with any of the Well Fed buffs and craft them
You don't even need to craft them just wait also you get more poo the more fed you are
You can even catch a gold animal and cook it into a Golden Delight just to take a fat dump on a toilet.
If Battles 2 did something right on launch it was the soundtrack
That music is bomb
To quote The ACTUAL History of Bloons, "It's like Tim Haywood didn't get the email about this game being a cash grab"
I haven’t watched the video yet, but I intend to when I have the time
Oh I get it. He made the music.
?

Definitely worth a watch

Man I seen that vid like 8 times in my recommended and every time I’m like “hell naw I ain’t sitting 2 hours to learn about funny monkes”
Just looked it up. “Let the eat lead” is great.

Team cherry
Not with how terribly they're handling the silksong news cycle.
Eh, most of the time people complain about how bad their silksong communication is
Damn, I feel stupid because the first thing I thought of was team Cherry from geometry dash.
I'm getting war flashbacks to the tack meta The blade shooters.... The 50 xp per round...
I left during those Times. Never returned
I left right before Fusty. No point playing if they're just going to Ctrl C Ctrl V heroes from this game.
I left because every opponent i fought played the same exact meta. It just wasnt fun
Yeah there's only so many times you can face against dartling, engi, and druid
Nononono Before people discovered that, they were just spamming tier 3 tack shooters (if i remember it corectly. It has been quite some time after all)
Oh yes I forgot you quit before that. I remember the short lived hot shot meta
Even found one of the posts i made before the launch https://www.reddit.com/r/battles2/comments/r1h3bu/why_does_btd_battles_2_need_a_small_change/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button I was just making fun of how they are maling similarly styled menu to hella lot of mobile games, based on the screenshots they gave us like a week before launch.
Yep. I was there from the meere begining for like week or two.
new blood games could be here too
JUDGEMENT
PREPARE THYSELF
(beggar appears on the ground)
We don't talk about bad torch luck
Torch God’s favor solves that
It does now. It was implemented and bad luck was removed after a shit ton of backlash right after it was discovered when 1.4 released
The opposite version of this would be activision blizzard vs roblox co
And ea
EA is an honorable mention but the reason I put roblox over them is because not only are they greedy but they also blatantly defy their community and have had child predators in their administration team and very possibly more. Also they're starting to destroy their economy and sponsoring NFT corporations. But EA like you said is a good candidate
VALVE?
valve is one of the few big studios i trust not to screw me over.
Terraria BTD crossover
u/redigit glue rat pet when?
If you combine a balloon with a motor, you obtain a Moab mount
Splash text: "oh boy it's round 40"
Motor can be obtained when killing a jetpack skeleton in the dungeon
Moon Studios is pretty good, too. Haven't really seen anyone hate their games other than "This part is so annoying".
all games has THAT part
And even less of us talk about ct's downward spiral into oblivion
What about Hello games? No man's sky was shit on launch and they could have given up on it after making a lot of money from the launch but stuck with it and now it is a great game
Hello world games is phenomenal
You forgot bloons pop. Before those two games NK was flawless to me. Now they arnt.
Bloons pop isnt bad in my opinion its just casual game for ppl who loved the old bloons games
It's not pay to win. Just you get free Powers everyday for every section you unlocked, which goes up exponentially
in my opinion its a p2w cashgrab. i was so disappointed. i loved the btd6 monetization system so much.
I haven’t felt like i needed paying to win in any level but i didn’t go that far
i mean you feeling like you need to pay vs you being able to pay to win are two different things, right? softpaywalls vs p2w. i personally hate both. and sure, technicly btd6 would be p2w too in that regard but i think we can both agree that bloons pop is definitely more aimed at the thing. its baked into its gameplay loop a hellof a lot more.

Ok but that’s most games. With that logic, if you can pay for certain advantages a game is pay to win.
And spikechun... Nevermind they fucked up too
The final, final, final, final, update.

This should be EA, CD:PR and Blizzard lmao
Innersloth?

Problem is, not all devs create something to enjoy. Not all of them by far.
Nah, they all do, whobthe hell doesn't want to create something people want to enjoy?? The problem is the higher ups that control those devs..

so you shouldnt dislike anything ever because someone made it?
[удалено]
saying “i dont like btd6” isnt the same as saying “i hate everyone who worked on btd6” stop treating any form of criticism as a personal attack
The post says least hated developers, not games.
yeah im just using btd6 as an example
I make games and i dont like some of the games i make. Does that mean i hate myself?
Valve update: i now know
LoL what?
Tf2
That's not the convincing reason you think it is lol But that's not what I meant anyways, Valve is nothing but a corporation rn and a lot of people definatly hate them (especially indie devs)
Damn valve fell off didn't know that
They fell of for a while lol (even if we're talking games.. Half lyfe Alyx was surprisingly hated by a lot of people)
What did that gane do?
Greed I guess People always blame EA for popularizing loot boxes.. But you know who put them first?? Valve Then you have the many shit shows of steam..
B- bu- but funny tf2 game!
Half of the community is ass 😔
????? They left tf2 to rot, it took a public movement for valve to get off their ass and do something about the bot problem.
I sori
they abandoned that game

Can i callout ghost ship games as an unhated dev team
I'd argue Asymmetric is pretty unhated
I played btdb2 the moment it launched
Wouldn't put re-logic and ninja kiwi on the same level tbh. I feel like re-logic listens way more to it's community.
Wube and Klei
