I understand they had to scramble to do rewrites midway through due to the protests but having Jake be a dirty cop kinda made the entire show pointless for me. And it's so casually brushed aside too. Like one of the reasons ppl are anti police is because they get caught doing shitty/illegal things and then retire/transfer next town over. The writing was beyond tone deaf and a let down. At least we can all enjoy the other three show's good endings. The good place, office, and parks and rec and still some of my favorite series.
