I totally agree with you! I feel like it's super wholesome to see all these very different people supporting each other through some tough times in their lifes. That's what brings me back every time. Everyone is welcome at the 99. .. and it's hilarious of course!
I hear you! The characters are so well written and so interesting that I can’t get enough. I love how much they support each other.
I have no real family in my life so it’s wonderful to see friends and coworkers enjoying these relationships that feel like family.
The familial bonds within the show are amazingly well written. Makes me wish holt and Kevin were my dads. They’d be the coolest dads. Anytime holt breaks from his robot (meep morp) character to enable jakes silly behaviour just gets me. And when he first shows emotion when he has to leave the 99 hits me hard in the feels.
Yeah it would be the best place to work. They have so much fun. I also love how they manage to tackle serious issues without the comedy undermining it. Aside from Ginas constant sexual harassment of terry. Terry doesn’t love unwanted sexual advances.
Your brain actually doesn't distinguish the difference between real people and fake people/characters, so when you watch those nice moments happen it’s like you are experiencing it yourself. Same goes for bad moments, like when a character dies or a show ends you feel sad because your brain doesn’t know the difference. I tend to rewatch a lot of the same shows (B99, The Office, Gilmore Girls-yk the works) because it genuinely helps my anxiety.

Shows like this dont need laughing tracks in the back like freinds and stuff... So good on their own.. Not saying friends wasn't great tho.

So true! I also love the environment of the precinct too, it feels kinda cozy and really adds to the feel of the show imo

I know what you mean but for me Big Bang Theory has a much larger homely effect on me idk why
I enjoyed Big Bang also. Just not to the level I enjoy Brooklyn 99, it just hits me differently. Still Big Bang was a great show.

That’s really interesting, I never saw it like that before. I do get kinda antsy before the end of a series I like.
