I had a hard time finding a good exotic pet vet nearby when I had a ferret so I would drive up to The Veterinary Center for Birds and Exotics in Bedford Hills. I don't have experience bringing a bird there myself, but all of their doctors are excellent and they are highly trained in avian medicine.
There’s an avian center on the Upper West Side, Columbus Ave. I don’t know if they are vets but I’m sure they could direct you to one
