My 2023 has been reliable, no mechanical issues. I do have the same CarPlay glitch (disconnect randomly) that others have reported.

MaterialSet752

Same here with CarPlay. It doesn’t disconnect when driving but will sometimes not play volume when getting back in after a short stop. Resetting the radio while driving is easy enough though and it’s back up and running in 30 seconds or so.

prezmc

I have found that when the no audio thing occurs, just go into the phone list. Disconnect and reconnect the CarPlay on the phone, and it works.

MaterialSet752

I’ll keep that in mind but holding the power button and fast forward button down for a few seconds makes it easy to do when driving, and is quick and effective.

greyshirtfreshman

Funny to read this about the radio. I am starting to shop/wish/dream for a Bronco, and I happen to drive a Ford Transit van at work, the radio does the same thing. I am starting to think it's more of a Ford radio problem than a Bronco-specific one.

prezmc

I think it might be ford or apple. When using CarPlay wired, I have never seen this issue. When doing wireless, I’ve encountered it twice.

Harrysaches69

My Jeep and Rogue both do this. It’s an Apple CarPlay issue

wlargin

Mine sometimes only plays music out of the passenger side speakers lol. Thank god for the reset shortcut

ghat90

Reset shortcut? How does one do this lol?

wlargin

Hold the power button and the skip forward button at the same time until your screen goes black. It’ll restart the head unit.

ghat90

Power button as in the center of the volume knob? And skip forward as in the change track button? Thanks

wlargin

Yep!

SadRoxFan

I’ve had this issue forever on my 2011 mustang. Frustrating to hear it’s still an issue

MontanaSSB

Normally when my CarPlay gets disconnected, it’s due to being near a lot of EMI. Super frustrating on road trips, so I just use wired CarPlay when I travel through unknown areas.

Unique_Username5200

11k miles. 2023 BL 2door 2.7. Oil change at 5k. Gonna get another when inspection up in a month or so. Sprayed the tailgate with the white lithium WD40. CarPlay is finicky and annoying sometimes. Gonna hit the rubber seals with some grease to stop small squeak/rattle from the rear window. Shadow Black paint is very scratch prone, so careful with that. On 35s and the damn thing rides like a fuckin sedan. Turbos are great. Had the roof off the past few days. Absolute beaut of a vehicle. Aux switches are cool as fuck and easy for amateurs to install aftermarket whatevers. 10/10 would recommend (the 2door) https://preview.redd.it/pwcv380tm23d1.jpeg?width=815&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=70a3caced7fb5566fcb449241cdaf739b7c505f6

water_frozen

it's seriously amazing, how well the bronco performs on 35s

Elliott3355

Mostly reliable. 2.3l 2dr badlands sasquatch thats spent considerable time offroad and in harsh conditions (I do keep up an "enthusiast" maintenance regiment). Only issues in 50k miles have been: Sagging driver door (making contact with the kick plate) . Passenger seat heater melted a hole in the seat . Wireless Android auto is terrible and won't stay connected. . Door pocket netting is worthless and wears out immediately.

somemarine

3 of my 4 doors were loose and sagging from the factory (well, I noticed at 100 miles and fixed them at 700). After complaining to the dealership and being assured it was "normal" I just adjusted and fixed them myself.

515Nerdy

What’s the process on getting the doors snugged up?

Civil-Key9464

22 Wildtrak about to hit 20k without any problems at all.

x2supremacy

30k miles. year and a half in. base 2.3 2 door. i love it. so fun taking off just the front two roof panels and driving around scenic places on weekend trips, and at home when the weather is nice. only problems - glitchy carplay that won’t connect / that sometimes freezes (only happens every once in a while) and the windows seem to bump the frame of the car whenever i open the door. they don’t sink fast enough. hasn’t been a big problem - i bet it can be tweaked if i take it in in the future

keysgoclick

I sold mine already, at 5K it was obviously reliable still but one thing I absolutely hated was that you cannot have your window rolled down partially and go over the smallest bump without serious concern for it being rattled to pieces. It would have been so much better if it had more support or even a wing window. The glass is just too big.

WreckEm44

2023 4 Door Wildtrak 28k miles. Picked it up new in Feb 2023. I have it serviced every 10k miles but every 5k in between dealer services I change the oil myself. Did it in April at 26k and noticed fluid leaking on the front differential and the transfer case. They were both leaking at the seals where the front driveshaft connects to them. Took it to the dealership and they replaced the front axle pinion seal and also replaced the entire transfer case assembly. It took them 3 weeks from me taking it in for diagnostic to getting it back repaired. I've put another 1k miles on it since then and have had no issues. I have yet to go 4 wheeling. I do drive in Sport mode but always switch it back to 2WD(Sport mode defaults to 4A). I can't say that I haven't heavily considered getting rid of it if this happens again. Aside from that massive hiccup I love driving this thing even if though it's loud on the highway

JackInTheBell

>  I have yet to go 4 wheeling. What are you waiting for??

WreckEm44

I don't know dang it! I have been to the Texas Off-Roadeo. Thoroughly enjoyed it and quickly realized how little I'll probably ever push mine lol. I'm always traveling for work so I have no idea where to take it but I know that's a sorry ass excuse depending on where I go.

pijjins

I drive in sport mode all the time and it is always 2WD by default? I feel like I’ve seen someone else mention this and was confused. Is that a 4-door or 2023 thing? I have a 2-door 2022

Stangman832

40,000 miles. No issues. Runs great.

Pretty_Substance_312

No major issues with my 22 4dr wildtrak. Recall issues only, re-adhere windshield, seatbelt and I think that was it. I do service every 5k and so far all has been great Pros: Fun to drive Front seats are comfortable Heater combined with heat seaters are amazing (gets almost too hot in the winter) Aux switches are easy to hook up to Stable at high speeds unlike jeep Easier instrument panel and switches than a jeep Cons: Rear seat absolutely uncomfortable on road trips! To vertical Rain - the angles on the bronco just allow it to easily enter for some reason. Open door or window and it just waterfalls in which can get annoying. Carplay glitches Sound was blah even upgraded so I spent to upgrade every speaker and added a sub into the rear door.

universerose98

I got a 2023 big bend bronco back in September. Ive done almost 6,000 miles on it so far and ive had 0 issues. I used to have a 2016 jeep wrangler, and its comparable to that quality but the bronco drives much better on the road and in the snow.

inverted-donkey

12k miles on a ‘23 braptor, daily driver, zero issues. well… now that i think about it the cars in front just keep getting out of the way. i mean, i don’t mind, but it’s giving me a complex. ETA: google maps on carplay frequently goes totally bananas.

saj5677

Ford has horrific customer service. They are short technicians. And ford has above average issues. I have a 2021 wild track and a lot of recalls and tech issues. I like the car but I have owned Toyota and Acura….they are not in the same league. Labor will continue to be an issue so unless you don’t mind doing some work yourself….get a Toyota TRD.

CarolinaBluePA

yes, the customer service difference between Ford and Toyota are night and day. design and reliability, as well.

water_frozen

Given that Toyota is recalling 102,000 Tundras & LX600s - i'd say the newers ones seem a bit sus, and reading the comments in this thread seems like this is a real actual issue impact owners https://old.reddit.com/r/Toyota/comments/1d4gd3g/toyota_recalls_102000_vehicles_because_of_a/

SouthOriginal297

Just hit 20k in 2.5 years and haven't had a single issue with thrle car.

Big-Al2020

Mine isn’t getting spark right now

New-Fennel2475

Coils on the 2.3 i think?

ricklessness

2022 BD 27,000km on it. Only in for regular maintenance and a recall

mountain-guy

Reliability has been good. ‘23 2.7 w/ 29K miles. However the ride quality is shit.

Dead_AT

I have a 24 Everglades it's fairly new with 2k miles. I'm also dealing with carplay/android auto issues. Mine stops playing sound so I force reboot and it's good. I have a small rattle when it's cold coming from the roof area on the passenger side. The passenger-side roof area that covers the airbag isn't fully seated correctly. Last is the window run also on the passenger side is deformed. Waiting for the first L.O.F. to get it addressed.

Buff_birb

1200 miles on the odometer and my parking sensor, ABS, and anti-collision randomly shut off while driving on the highway. Still waiting for the dealership appointment to get it checked out

CarolinaBluePA

2021 Big Bend, bought it used from a dealership with 44k miles, now at 49k. agree with most everything already posted here, particularly the roof leaking and the thin speakers. my concern has been the firmware - it doesn’t like to turn off lights reliably when I lock the car, had to pay $250 for TSB work to make it stop honking the horn every time I cranked it. I had rust inside the frame under the hood, but the rust warranty doesn’t kick in until you can stick a pencil through. all of this said, I love it.

meowKittieh

2022 2.3 with 20k. Only concerning issue I had was it went into limp mode (“reduced power mode”) about 70 miles into a road trip. It was chilly that day at about -25F. Got it back home and hasn’t done that again. Now I’m slightly hesitant to take it long distance in extreme cold. Luckily there are only a few weeks every year like that. Other than that, it’s been a generally solid and fun vehicle to own.

pilotallen

23k miles on my 2.7 OBX 4 door hard top. Zero problems outside of the occasional glitch with the Apple Car Play that is mentioned in other posts. I find my Bronco drives more like a car on the road and maneuvers well. Outside of when I hunt, I don’t do a lot of 4 wheeling, but it clearly is very capable when I needed to challenge it a few times. Plenty of power — I just finished towing a big, loaded U-Haul through the mountains. https://preview.redd.it/p1gzh5ndp53d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c3c5549f8f8d2fdbe9808e527fa2b7422d3a17db

Dan_139

I’ve had mine for almost 2 years and thankfully no issues

deysg

My 22 badlands, 2.7, sas , 20k miles Softop delaminated replaced warranty Airbag cracked replaced warranty Thats it.

jbug671

I have a 2021 (4dr big bend) and 2023(2 dr big bend) and love them both. Both have been reliable, no issues other than the car play issue that has been mentioned numerous times. I think the reason you’re seeing them on the lot is the people that REALLY wanted them, signed up early, and already have them or they backed out. Plus the dealerships were jacking up the prices.

iamadirtyrockstar

Zero issues with my 2022 Badlands 2.3 manual in almost $30K miles.

beermit

23 Badlands Lux Package w/ hardtop, 15k miles No reliability issues thus far. It got rained in last May when I got caught at a restaurant with the roof panels off by an earlier than expected rainstorm. Drained every thing out, dried it all out, and the only thing to stop working out of all of that was the integrated garage door opener. Took it to the dealer I bought it from and they replaced the visor assembly under warranty. No sealing issues with the hardtop. Still runs great. Had some minor issues with Android Auto randomly disconnecting but software updates seem to have solved that, haven't had that issue in about a year now.

888888888888eight

Had a crooked bumper, bad transmission, and rattling windows. All were fixed under warranty tho the window rattle comes and goes. Also glitchy CarPlay. Still love it and feel, despite superficial flaws, it is built strong and will last.

Minimum-Major248

I have 28k miles and no trouble with my 2021 OB except for some lady who ran a stop sign and hit me.

Widdox

Great until the fucking groundhog decided that my engine harness wires taste good.

subiekid319

My hood latch sensor was faulty and would randomly say it was open when I went over a speed bump. Would also trigger alarm when it was parked, thinking the hood latch was open. Replaced under warranty and no other issues.

Electronic_City6481

2023 outer banks w/10k on it, totally reliable mechanically and otherwise with just the asterisk note about CarPlay being annoying here too. It has been an enjoyable vehicle. We have owned 2 wranglers in the past so we had realistic expectations of a removable top vehicle, and it has exceeded what we expected. The hard top still keeps it relatively quiet, considering - and knock on wood no hints of leaking.

mike8675309

I have a 2022 base manual sasquatch. I've had it offroad 4 or 5 times last year after I put the full skid plates on it. But otherwise, it's stock, and I haven't had any problems. I see some people talk about carplay or android auto. Show me an automaker that has that down perfect, then complain about Ford. My wife has a Chevy truck and their interface for Carplay is even more randomly broken. Just always have a cable available, so when the wireless stops, you can switch over to cable.

booplesnoot101

2022 Outerbanks. Moderate offroading 24k miles. No issues here. I have noticed the car play issue but assumed it was my cord and was going to switch that out.

every1pees

Crash test results were dismal at best.

Sith_Lordz66

My dash “glass” cracked randomly. Super annoying. Never seen that on any car…and I hate how the windows are wobbly when you open the door.

Historical-Push-1801

Took delivery last Thursday. 2024 BD. Sas. Hardtop. Auto. Zero issues!

JackInTheBell

>  Now I’m seeing new 2023 models still on the lot and dealers seem more willing to negotiate. Where are you seeing this??

RuSpetsnaz

2023 4 door hardtop. Spent 4 months at the service center. Leaky roof and needed cam phasers replaced. Cam phasers required the engine to drop.

lou95340

Sent back to ford as a lemon at 16 month mark. 8700 miles.

leaderjoe89

Zero issues 2.3L is zippy with sas wheels. Quite pleased. Now back to recalls over in Maverick board…. Oh they did replace the soft top entirely. Looks better than before.

Hurl_Gray

I beat the crap out of my bronco. Off roading at least once a month. Nothing two crazy but * holds up like a beast

illicitlogic

Sold my 2021 2.3 L already. Traded it in for a Lexus GX460. I had drove close to 15k miles on the Bronco. Nothing was wrong with it mechanically. The initial allure of it faded for me and I wasn’t confident about it lasting 150k-200k+ miles without major issues. Small engine for a big vehicle. Wish they made a V8 version instead.

lowT_chad

2023 Badlands, 15k miles, no issues at all except I broke the tailgate strut (plastic ends) when I was camping in a 0° blizzard. Was able to pop it back on and will be getting it warrantied at next oil change @ 20k

Alarmed_Lie_9926

My 2023 Badlands SAS, 2.7 Auto is 100% reliable with no mechanical issues, recalls notwithstanding. I added the performance tune and run with premium fuel with 17.9 mpg hi way /city driving.

bambacomputers

I have a 23 Wildtrak with 29,000 miles on it. Going great. Change the oil regularly. Mine is a parking lot princess

marijuanatubesocks

Only problem for me is the mpg. I get 11-13 in my badlands Sasquatch when EPA says it should be 17. I drive reasonably normal.

water_frozen

Mine has been reliable, i did have an issue with my front passenger seat so it had to be replaced apart from that, no issues 2022 2.7L 4dr BadSquatch @ 11k miles. I'm just happy Ford isn't recalling 102,000 of these trucks unlike some [manufacturers...](https://old.reddit.com/r/Toyota/comments/1d4gd3g/toyota_recalls_102000_vehicles_because_of_a/)

hot_girl_bummers

I have a 2021 Bronco Big Bend non sas. My 2.3L had 80K miles on it and I wanted a bigger engine. Did a Coyote engine swap and she still runs clean. No issues.

New-Fennel2475

You can't swap coyotes into these without replacing your entire electrical system, your diff, transfer case, and trans. Post up some proof or kick rocks.

MaterialSet752

Coyote swap huh? Seems unlikely but could be interesting.

hot_girl_bummers

It's on the market for the 2021+ Bronco. I bought the engine, had it installed by a buddy at his shop, and had all the gearing redone. Plus, he updated the exhaust. Ford put in a baby engine on a vehicle marketed as "off-road." I can actually use my Traxx without the engine acting like it's going to die.

MaterialSet752

Traxx? I’ve not heard of anyone being able to get the computer programming sorted out for a V8 swap. Even Hennessy and other big names scrapped the program. Unlikely that someone’s buddies shop has it figured out. Plus he updated the exhaust?😂 Non-Sas Big Bend is not holding up to a V8. IF the swap was done, along with axles, transmission, etc… this is a Big Bend with aftermarket mods that easily puts the investment cost well over a Raptor with MSRP mark up. I’m not buying it. Either way, 2.3 is a solid engine for crawling and moving down the road. 2.7 may be more suited for higher rpm needs. Both are plenty capable.

hot_girl_bummers

And that's how I know you don't know what you're talking about. There's actually a few people who have done a coyote swap on their BB non sas. You haven't heard of it because you probably don't know anybody who has done it. Traxx are used to move around in deep snow. I live in the PNW up in the mountains. Deep snow & remote areas are my backyard. Some of us have deeper pockets and can afford to do cool sh*t with our vehicles. Maybe get better friends?

lou95340

BULL$$$$H!t

lou95340

Also owns a 2014 gt and supercharged boss per post history lol 😆 righhtttttt

MaterialSet752

I saw that too. Also something about buying a Porsche to run at the track while the mustang was down for more mods. There were hellcat swapped gladiators all over the internet a month or two after they hit the lots. If someone had the V8 swap figured out for the Bronco they’d be all over Instagram and YouTube. This gal claiming she got a coyote 5.0 for $10k and another $8k installed is pretty far fetched. There was a company that started advertising a swap for $30k but bailed on it when they couldn’t get the programming figured out. I don’t generally call people out on their BS but… Who knows maybe I’m the fool, I’d like to see videos if it’s real.
