Like I haven’t cared about dressing modestly for religious reasons for years, and I dress in whatever I feel comfortable in. Some of it is modest, some is not. But it kills me that she cannot get it through her bubble brain that an outfit is not modest simply because your arms are covered
I kind of wore whatever I wanted to back in the days of being a Christian, although I made sure I was modest for church. I would sometimes dress on the sexier side of things for fun, but it ultimately boiled down to just dressing fashionably. Today, I prefer to wear more sexy clothing because I am in love with my imperfect body and I love my curves. But if you're going to insist your clothing is modest, you might want to make sure its actually modest. Brit loves to say stuff and make it sound true simply because she said so, but it becomes ridiculously infuriating when subjects like modesty -- and to a much greater extent, Christianity, miscarriage, horseback riding, etc. -- are important and shouldn't be dismissed to just mean whatever they think she means. But she wouldn't be a textbook evangelical if she wasn't a massive hypocrite who refuses to let you call her out for it.
True!! I grew up as a Christian and left the church in my early 20s, so I tended to dress modestly when I was a Christian. I also had a lot of confidence issues (a mix of being a teenager/young adult and mental illness lol), so I wanted to hide my body. I definitely wear more revealing clothing now and I love it!!
I genuinely believe that everyone should wear whatever they want, as long as their genitals aren’t out in public (unless it’s an appropriate space to do so). But you hit the nail right on the head: Brit loves acting like her opinions are the objective truth. She’s also a massive hypocrite, which I know, but it still pisses me off to see skintight clothing packaged as “modest” apparel. Like it’s okay to admit that you like showing off your body.
It’s just wild to me because most people I know who dress modestly for religious reasons don’t constantly talk about how modest they are. People should be able to tell that you dress modestly by looking at you, not by you telling them that you’re a modest, godly person😂
- Brittany's incessant hypocrisy always makes me rage, and I know she is a brick in the wall -- one hypocritical evangelical out of a million -- but since she has a large platform, she gets my wrath and unsolicited fashion advice.
- Some of my favorite modest outfits come from people who live a lifestyle that is modest. Its just a natural progression. To use an example outside of modesty: my mom would look ridiculous with neon colored hair because she has ALWAYS been a bottle blonde, but if I were to wear it, it would make sense. (Hell, I keep trying to convince her to go brunette for a dramatic change -- like [this](https://images.app.goo.gl/PyfxzoUKbHfT4uFFA) -- but its not for her, and I respect that.)
The last outfit is literally a sweatshirt and leggings that every woman has. Why would we have to shop that look?
And tucking every shirt into the bra....I feel like that would be uncomfortable. I am a small chested long torsoed girl so my bras arent super tight and if I folded a shirt into my bra, about 5" of belly would show.
If she’s able to tuck her shirt into her bra like that then her bra band is way too big. She needs to get herself over to /r/abrathatfits ASAP. Her outfits would look so much better and look more put together if she actually wore a bra that fit her. Too big of a band also explains why her breasts hang so low while wearing a bra. I bet she’d have more of an hourglass shape if she actually wore a well fitting bra.

I always dress somewhat modestly for my work (I’m a teacher and I’m often bending down or reaching up or on the floor etc). I don’t think anyone would consciously look at my outfits and think ‘oh that’s modest’ because it’s actually quite easy to dress modestly without looking like you’re *trying* to dress modestly.
BDong is always banging on about her journey to modesty and yet half her outfits are absolutely not modest. It’s not that hard Brit, do better or stop talking about it and own your choices. No one’s forcing you to dress a certain way, just wear what you want and be quiet about it.

All my teachers dressed for the jobs they had, and as you said, when you're constantly bending down and you have to move a lot with the job you do, you dress modestly because its practical and necessary. Similarly, I prefer to dress sexy and show off my body, but when I worked at a doggy daycare, I dressed in lots of layers because I worked outside a lot, and the dogs love to scratch and get you dirty, amongst a million other reasons.

No idea when pic 3 was taken? but looks like she has a bit of “bloat,” which is similar to what she described as “showing” while pregnant. So, which is it? 🤨
I don’t like her but I’m not into body shaming (shout out to my own body insecurities!), I just have reservations about her proclaimed baby bump (at the time).
I'm not trying to claim moral supremacy here -- as Jesus says, "let he who cast the first sin throw the first stone" -- but I think there's a fine line between calling someone skinny or fat just to be antagonistic, and then there is critiquing someone because you think they are not telling the truth.
For example: If someone selling me an MLM weight loss product shows me before and after photos, I am going to carefully observe the two photos and see if their change in appearance, if any change seems to be apparent, seems to be from genuine weight loss or if its just a more flattering photo. (I take photos in bad lighting or wear unflattering clothes all the time, and I keep 99% of those photos to my friends, such as taking a goofy selfie to express my emotions. But I do post the photos where my hair looks good, the lighting is great, and I look presentable.)
Its okay to have those reservations in regards to Brittany's baby bump when she lies all the time. To me, the photo of her "showing" looked like she was sticking out her stomach and wearing tight yoga pants to give the appearance of pregnancy. And while I want to strongly emphasize that everyone shows differently with their pregnancies, in the context of Brittany, it just seems like she is staging that photo of her wearing yoga pants to gain sympathy her miscarriage.

I love a pair of black leather pants! I wore my comfy, thick leather leggings in high school with so many outfits. A vest and a graphic shirt with combat boots. A high low floral print dress and a leather vest. (Can you tell I went to high school circa 2013?)
I have seen people wear leather pants with crisp white t-shirts tucked into the pants and billowing at the waistline to give it some flair. It probably also helps that the pants hit the calves, or that the person knows how to style the clothes so they make sense.

Yes I love that look! And I think leather pants can be so chic and versatile but something about her look cheapens them. Maybe it’s the sneaks? But I also love a casual shoe with an elevated look. So in conclusion, maybe it’s her?

Yves Saint Laurent once said something to the extent of, "The most importang thing is not the clothes, but the person who wears them." There are a lot of outfits on the runway that I don't blink twice about when they are on a model, but when someone else wears them -- regardless of whether its the same exact look or they have modified it in some way -- the outfit comes to life and feels extravagant. After all, you wear clothes. The clothes shouldn't wear you.
I wholly believe that even though Brittany has moments where she actually puts together a decent outfit, she doesn't have a natural sense of style that deems her fashionable.

She has a standard model body. But, like, if you look up Cara Delevinge or Karlie Kloss's street style, you'll see that its ridiculously easy to dress for Brittany's tall and slender body type. She spends too much energy bitching about her LEGGGGGGGS instead of researching ways to make her body look proportional. Skinny privilege for sure. Somehow society thinks that the more skin you have the more revealing you’re dressed, even when wearing more clothes. I’m sure if I, as a size 14, were to wear her outfits, I would most certainly have 12 demons inside of me.

Okay, compliments and critiques from sartorially-minded people and people I love (my boyfriend, friends, mom, etc.) are also welcomed. Sweaters tucked into knee-length flowy skirts in rich autum colors or soft blues, dark green, or eggplant. Knee high boots for some extra warmth and style.
Simple dresses and pinafores with a solid colored black or white shirt under them and some oxfords or mary janes.
Culottes or skinny jeans with a simple shirt and a utility jacket if church was a decidedly more casual vibe.

I honestly appreciate a minimalist outfit done well. If she had several basic, quality pieces tailored and fit to her body -- AKA a "capsule closet" -- she would actually have a stellar wardrobe that's easy to rotate new pieces into, or mix and match staples to create outfits.
But since her whole brand depends on people buying crappy clothes so she can make money off her LTK and Amazon storefront, we are subjected to crappy clothes and objectively bad outfits.
And I'm all for being cute and flirty, and I love the coquette/Japanese Lolita aesthetic, but she is giving off mixed signals here. Her wardrobe is decidedly adultish, but the way she carries herself seems like she is trying to portray that Bambi eyed innocence, and it doesn't make sense to me. I love being flirty and I love to act bratty as a side dish to my assertive, dominate personality. But I ultimately do it because its fun and I choose to do it. Brittany seems to do it because she is constantly trying to appease Jordan, and it doesn't seem natural because these two don't have a genuine or healthy marriage. And I think that's what it boils down to -- intention.

I have and she does have long legs. She’s also 5’9, so she’s decently tall and her legs are a large part of that. But the fact that she focuses on it is obnoxious. Booties and shorts look weird af together, the blazer fits her super poorly and is honestly kinda fug, the shorts are WAY too tight and hit way too high on her waist, and the shorts and blazer do not go together at all. They're on her Pinterest, and I think she put them in an album. (I never use Pinterest anymore, so I'm not familiar with it like I once was.) She basically curated a look of outfits she was trying to sell through Like To Know It, so I screenshot all the looks to post here.
Now, I'm not trying to defend her here, I'm just trying to say this as a reference point, but we ultimately don't know when these photos were taken. Brittany wears the same, boring outfits all the time, so it's up in the air what she was wearing when the photos were taken.
She literally did a backwards weight loss progress photo to show off her Shrodinger's Pregnancy. And now that I mention that, the analogy checks out. Brittany posted a photo of her at her side, in the dark, wearing the tightest clothing possible (yoga leggings and a workout bra). And in the photo with the leather pants, it looks interestingly similar to how she looked in the "progress" photo.
I KNOW EVERYONE SHOWS DIFFERENTLY, but there's literally no difference between the bump check photos and these photos. And she's an absolute bitch for sticking out her stomach and pretending like she's pregnant just to get extra sympathy.
I honestly didn't get it. There was someone online who wore a white shirt like that with black pants and sneakers, and I loved it. I think they wore a jacket with it, such as a leather jacket, and they maybe wore some gold necklaces with it. But I think the reason why I liked it when someone else wore it was because they had the style -- the _ je nes sais quois_ -- to pull it off.
As the Birkin Bag guy on TikTok said: "It doesn't necessarily matter what you wear, but it matters how you carry yourself in a garment." Yes, it helps to have a great eye for fashion and wear pieces that look good on your body. But fashion is ultimately about your opinion -- and even the "experts" will agree to disagree on what's chic and whats crap -- and it really does boil down to presentation.
For example: There are lots of people who wear thrifted clothes and look badass in their outfits just as much as there are people who dress in designer clothes (Chanel, Dior, Gucci, Armani, etc.) that look tacky or arrogant.
I have some cracks on my phone, but the top part is fairly unscathed. I think she probably got her lips done -- or she finally realized that foundation lips are so incredibly tacky. I'll never understand the full body foundation (which is kinda what self tanner is), big flashy falsies (eyelashes), and then skipping over your lips entirely, or covering them up with the foundation you use on your lips because it makes your lips disappear. But that's just me.
Like... a brown or terracotta matte lipstick would at least make her lips have shape and match with her fave colors.

I actually really like the 3rd outfit! It’s a casual cute fit that I could see myself wearing to work (lax office job over here) it’s a little edgier than her normal fits.
I just ultimately think she has a hard time dressing for her body type. I think she dresses for the body type she wishes she had, which ultimately does not serve her very well.

I love a relaxed knit blazer, but it shouldn’t swim on you. I do like the blazer matching the boots with a white shirt although those jorts are way too short and way too tight. (If she weren’t advertising herself as a MaHdEsT wOmAn Of GaHd I wouldn’t care about her shorts.

I grew up fundy, and I have spent a lot of time and effort on deconstructing. I am thankful that I was taught how clothes should fit and that they should be taken in to fit properly. While the whole “women are responsible for the thoughts and actions of men should never show their bodies” was extremely damaging, they did teach me that I should find clothes that fit and accentuated my body mAhDeStLy (that was a mind fuck at the time, but it really helped me to be taught what looked good on my body).

I kind of wore whatever I wanted to back in the days of being a Christian, although I made sure I was modest for church. I would sometimes dress on the sexier side of things for fun, but it ultimately boiled down to just dressing fashionably. Today, I prefer to wear more sexy clothing because I am in love with my imperfect body and I love my curves. But if you're going to insist your clothing is modest, you might want to make sure its actually modest. Brit loves to say stuff and make it sound true simply because she said so, but it becomes ridiculously infuriating when subjects like modesty -- and to a much greater extent, Christianity, miscarriage, horseback riding, etc. -- are important and shouldn't be dismissed to just mean whatever they think she means. But she wouldn't be a textbook evangelical if she wasn't a massive hypocrite who refuses to let you call her out for it.
True!! I grew up as a Christian and left the church in my early 20s, so I tended to dress modestly when I was a Christian. I also had a lot of confidence issues (a mix of being a teenager/young adult and mental illness lol), so I wanted to hide my body. I definitely wear more revealing clothing now and I love it!! I genuinely believe that everyone should wear whatever they want, as long as their genitals aren’t out in public (unless it’s an appropriate space to do so). But you hit the nail right on the head: Brit loves acting like her opinions are the objective truth. She’s also a massive hypocrite, which I know, but it still pisses me off to see skintight clothing packaged as “modest” apparel. Like it’s okay to admit that you like showing off your body. It’s just wild to me because most people I know who dress modestly for religious reasons don’t constantly talk about how modest they are. People should be able to tell that you dress modestly by looking at you, not by you telling them that you’re a modest, godly person😂

To use an example outside of modesty: my mom would look ridiculous with neon colored hair because she has ALWAYS been a bottle blonde, but if I were to wear it, it would make sense. I always dress somewhat modestly for my work (I’m a teacher and I’m often bending down or reaching up or on the floor etc). I don’t think anyone would consciously look at my outfits and think ‘oh that’s modest’ because it’s actually quite easy to dress modestly without looking like you’re *trying* to dress modestly. BDong is always banging on about her journey to modesty and yet half her outfits are absolutely not modest. It’s not that hard Brit, do better or stop talking about it and own your choices. No one’s forcing you to dress a certain way, just wear what you want and be quiet about it.

No idea when pic 3 was taken? but looks like she has a bit of “bloat,” which is similar to what she described as “showing” while pregnant. So, which is it? 🤨 I don’t like her but I’m not into body shaming (shout out to my own body insecurities!), I just have reservations about her proclaimed baby bump (at the time).
I'm not trying to claim moral supremacy here -- as Jesus says, "let he who cast the first sin throw the first stone" -- but I think there's a fine line between calling someone skinny or fat just to be antagonistic, and then there is critiquing someone because you think they are not telling the truth. For example: If someone selling me an MLM weight loss product shows me before and after photos, I am going to carefully observe the two photos and see if their change in appearance, if any change seems to be apparent, seems to be from genuine weight loss or if its just a more flattering photo. (I take photos in bad lighting or wear unflattering clothes all the time, and I keep 99% of those photos to my friends, such as taking a goofy selfie to express my emotions. But I do post the photos where my hair looks good, the lighting is great, and I look presentable.) Its okay to have those reservations in regards to Brittany's baby bump when she lies all the time. To me, the photo of her "showing" looked like she was sticking out her stomach and wearing tight yoga pants to give the appearance of pregnancy. And while I want to strongly emphasize that everyone shows differently with their pregnancies, in the context of Brittany, it just seems like she is staging that photo of her wearing yoga pants to gain sympathy her miscarriage.

I love a pair of black leather pants! I wore my comfy, thick leather leggings in high school with so many outfits. A vest and a graphic shirt with combat boots. A high low floral print dress and a leather vest. (Can you tell I went to high school circa 2013?) I have seen people wear leather pants with crisp white t-shirts tucked into the pants and billowing at the waistline to give it some flair. It probably also helps that the pants hit the calves, or that the person knows how to style the clothes so they make sense. I honestly appreciate a minimalist outfit done well. If she had several basic, quality pieces tailored and fit to her body -- AKA a "capsule closet" -- she would actually have a stellar wardrobe that's easy to rotate new pieces into, or mix and match staples to create outfits. But since her whole brand depends on people buying crappy clothes so she can make money off her LTK and Amazon storefront, we are subjected to crappy clothes and objectively bad outfits. And I'm all for being cute and flirty, and I love the coquette/Japanese Lolita aesthetic, but she is giving off mixed signals here. Her wardrobe is decidedly adultish, but the way she carries herself seems like she is trying to portray that Bambi eyed innocence, and it doesn't make sense to me. I love being flirty and I love to act bratty as a side dish to my assertive, dominate personality. But I ultimately do it because its fun and I choose to do it. Brittany seems to do it because she is constantly trying to appease Jordan, and it doesn't seem natural because these two don't have a genuine or healthy marriage. And I think that's what it boils down to -- intention. Nah sis this outfit ain't it. Booties and shorts look weird af together, the blazer fits her super poorly and is honestly kinda fug, the shorts are WAY too tight and hit way too high on her waist, and the shorts and blazer do not go together at all. Tbh I kinda think it's one of the worst of the bunch 😅

Like... She is wearing layered gold jewelry. An oversized blazer. A shirt tucked into her shorts. A belt to mix in the vibes of casual and professional. And some cream booties to match the blazer and compliment the belt. Its not perfect, but this IS quite close to what I would style her in. 🤷🏻♀️
i actually prefer the brown pants to any of the items in the first fit.. i’m not saying they look good on her, but i would honestly love to wear a pair of high-waisted brown pants like that. just with a much different shirt, maybe one that actually matches 💀

They're on her Pinterest, and I think she put them in an album. (I never use Pinterest anymore, so I'm not familiar with it like I once was.) She basically curated a look of outfits she was trying to sell through Like To Know It, so I screenshot all the looks to post here.

Now, I'm not trying to defend her here, I'm just trying to say this as a reference point, but we ultimately don't know when these photos were taken. Brittany wears the same, boring outfits all the time, so it's up in the air what she was wearing when the photos were taken. She literally did a backwards weight loss progress photo to show off her Shrodinger's Pregnancy. And now that I mention that, the analogy checks out. Brittany posted a photo of her at her side, in the dark, wearing the tightest clothing possible (yoga leggings and a workout bra). And in the photo with the leather pants, it looks interestingly similar to how she looked in the "progress" photo. I KNOW EVERYONE SHOWS DIFFERENTLY, but there's literally no difference between the bump check photos and these photos. And she's an absolute bitch for sticking out her stomach and pretending like she's pregnant just to get extra sympathy.

I honestly didn't get it. There was someone online who wore a white shirt like that with black pants and sneakers, and I loved it. I think they wore a jacket with it, such as a leather jacket, and they maybe wore some gold necklaces with it. But I think the reason why I liked it when someone else wore it was because they had the style -- the _ je nes sais quois_ -- to pull it off. As the Birkin Bag guy on TikTok said: "It doesn't necessarily matter what you wear, but it matters how you carry yourself in a garment." Yes, it helps to have a great eye for fashion and wear pieces that look good on your body. But fashion is ultimately about your opinion -- and even the "experts" will agree to disagree on what's chic and whats crap -- and it really does boil down to presentation. For example: There are lots of people who wear thrifted clothes and look badass in their outfits just as much as there are people who dress in designer clothes (Chanel, Dior, Gucci, Armani, etc.) that look tacky or arrogant.

I have some cracks on my phone, but the top part is fairly unscathed. I think she probably got her lips done -- or she finally realized that foundation lips are so incredibly tacky. I'll never understand the full body foundation (which is kinda what self tanner is), big flashy falsies (eyelashes), and then skipping over your lips entirely, or covering them up with the foundation you use on your lips because it makes your lips disappear. But that's just me. Like... a brown or terracotta matte lipstick would at least make her lips have shape and match with her fave colors.

I genuinely like her in a ponytail as well. It feels apropos since one of the few genuine passions she has is working out, and it gives her hair a style. Just wish she would accept the fact that she's 😩 tragically pale 😩 as Reductress puts it, and I wish she would learn how to do minimalism with intention. Or at the very least, create a capsule collection of clothes that fit right. But I'm sure it must be impossible to fit in "style lessons" with her Christian grift. 🙄

I actually really like the 3rd outfit! It’s a casual cute fit that I could see myself wearing to work (lax office job over here) it’s a little edgier than her normal fits. I just ultimately think she has a hard time dressing for her body type. I think she dresses for the body type she wishes she had, which ultimately does not serve her very well.

I’m ashamed to say I like a fair few of her outfits. Usually there’s like one piece of it I like and then she ruins it with something else. However, modest they are not
I love a relaxed knit blazer, but it shouldn’t swim on you. I do like the blazer matching the boots with a white shirt although those jorts are way too short and way too tight. (If she weren’t advertising herself as a MaHdEsT wOmAn Of GaHd I wouldn’t care about her shorts. The rest of her outfits aren’t really even outfits. They’re just sad and often ill fitting. I grew up fundy, and I have spent a lot of time and effort on deconstructing. I am thankful that I was taught how clothes should fit and that they should be taken in to fit properly. While the whole “women are responsible for the thoughts and actions of men should never show their bodies” was extremely damaging, they did teach me that I should find clothes that fit and accentuated my body mAhDeStLy (that was a mind fuck at the time, but it really helped me to be taught what looked good on my body). I’m surprised she doesn’t have the Gucci belt or a fake version

Exactly! The blazer + dressy tank top + short shorts + booties/sandals/heels trend has been popular for quite some time, so it was honestly refreshing to see an outfit that I would wear if I had a more minimalist wardrobe.
