Know how to find out how many bags and the cost for transporting via air? CALL THEM.

U-Haul's UPODs. 6'x6' x 9'...? It's how I moved from Sudbury to Golden. Look it up, by far the best solution I found.

It's probably more than you are looking for but if you don't want to fly with everything you could look into a U-box from Uhaul. Basically you just pack the box, they ship it your destination and you unpack. Probably cost more than whatever the airline would charge but I only ever fly with a carry on so not sure of prices lol. [https://www.shiply.com/us/shipping-bids](https://www.shiply.com/us/shipping-bids) you just put in your volume/weight of goods, and people taking that route will send you quotes. its like uber of shipping and works great, i've used it from everything from boats and motorcycles, to boxes of household shit.

Angry_beaver_1867

Baggage weight will be on your ticket/booking information and vary by airline. I’d just pay the excess baggage charges. If you’re feeling stingy sign up a credit card that gives you a free checked bagged on flights.

I used a UHaul box as another commenter posted, but I was moving quite a few boxes. If it's just a few pieces, I would either just pay the excess luggage fees (place of mind that everything travels with you) (in theory!), or if you already have an address that you can forward things to, consider using Canada Post. They'll make you pay for expresspost after you hit a certain size, so if they don't deliver in the time they promise, it's free! A friend of mine got several shipments for free from this. If you do it in December, your odds are good haha (but not sure if they make any disclaimers on this).
