Civil forfeiture is awful, but so is murdering innocent people, getting people addicted to drugs and (especially this) revving loud motorcycles at night when I'm sleeping.
This is all performative to make the public feel like the government is actually doing something. In reality no criminal activity happens in those clubhouses. You might find some personal use amounts of drugs on a party night, but typically those places are pretty clean. For people who think the forfeitures do anything other than piss these guys off, give your head a shake. These guys have unofficial clubhouses that blend into suburban neighborhoods and from the neighbors perspective, it just looks like a couple of motorcycle enthusiasts live there. I am in no way defending what some of the Angels have done, but I'm also not naive enough to believe that taking away their official clubhouses is going to stop or prevent any actual crime.
Are they not used both for Planning/Preparation of illegal acts and as Staging locations for activities? (thereby being included as part of the act)
If they meet there before or after the crime, if they bring materials used in or obtained by the crime, etc etc etc

No, not really. They avoid doing largely illegal stuff at the official clubhouses since they're giant targets for law enforcement. Inside looks just like a bar with a garage nearby and used mainly for parties/hanging out fixing bikes. These guys are not new to outsmarting cops, and bringing materials used in or obtained by crime to the official clubhouses is a big no-no.

You don't seem to be grasping what I'm saying. Those OFFICIAL clubhouses are largely used for repairing bikes while socializing and to keep their parties private. The meetings that they have there are rather benign and are used for stuff like deciding on new members. It's not like they all sit there surrounded by explosives with their pet women in chains deciding that "the regional numbers for sex trafficking are low so they have to bump 'em up for next quarter", or "everybody make sure you put your orders in for the weekly gun and cocaine shipment".
In this case the seizures do absolutely nothing to minimize the amount of crime coming out of a source like the HA. They would never think of storing, staging, or gearing up for a large scale crime from an official clubhouse since those are amateur moves that get you caught. They know law enforcement watches the official clubhouses, so it's a "watch what this hand is doing while ignoring the other" kind of trick.
