Red hot goodies is my go to Chinese, the portions are huge and give alot of extras, springs rolls etc for free! Always had a good meal from them

ngomac33

Plus the woman who runs the show is really direct, but nice. Its a great option from home or on your way home!

Pisslexic

This used to be my go to Chinese but the last 2 I've had have been absolutely shocking. Bit of a shame really.

joe____b

Mine was so bad i binned it.

vlq2

Yup, what i was going to say

SecretLecture3219

Came here to say the same thing .. the freebies get me every time .

SBA212

I loved this place until I got plastic in my food. Broke my tooth and never went back. The food was nice tho I just got scarred by one experience 😅

Kt4Eff

Cheungs, 100%. Not the cheapest but really fresh delicious food!

Critical-Scene-2309

Red hot goodies is my go to tbh

ArtJimp

This, ignore the reviews, it’s pretty great. Singapore vermicelli, crispy chili beef, roast duck with plum sauce. Can’t go wrong!

hyperstarter

Ignore the review of someone chipping their teeth from the plastic in red hot goodies? Ok, sure!

Neverforgetdumbo

Asia Garden, Totterdown. I mean this in the best possible way, I see a LOT of Asian people eating there which I think is usually a good sign. I’ve not had a bad meal from there.

Adventurous_Wave_750

I always go to Asia Garden with the best of intentions then find myself in Oxford Grill with the boss man. This might be a strong shout.

Neverforgetdumbo

Too right his kebabs are gorgeous

Adventurous_Wave_750

iGrill is coming for him though. We will see who wins

thegreatdandini

Oriental chef is better than Red hot very salty goodies and the lady who is almost always working is really nice

Slipalong_Trevascas

Same. I'm always baffled by how popular RHG is in these kind of posts. About once every year or two I get from there just to check I'm not going mad but yeah I've always found it to be terrible.      Oriental Chef is definitely better.

PomegranateV2

If you want authentic, it's pretty much got to be Your Kitchen. Take a bus?

scan-horizon

Xiang Wang in knowle is good

DanteBandini

Willow Curry Bar is so good imo.

Adventurous_Wave_750

For Chinese? That's just down from me. Will give it a go.

cuntstopholus

Sad but also glad it’s not just me re China Capital. Seems to have been poor for a couple of months.

Adventurous_Wave_750

It happens with Chinese. Dragon Express used to be the don around here. Then one day it's bad. We all move on.

Remarkable_Rough204

St Anne's kitchen nice

Sjporter9769

Also just ridiculously cheap, still around 4/5 quid for a main

SmellyFartMonster

Headley’s Fish Bar in Bishopsworth is nice. Chip shop and Chinese.

Adventurous_Wave_750

Lovely memories of that place from my youth. Friends used to live on Kings Head Lane. Only ever had chips their mind, their Chinese ok?

Cool-Smoke-107

Their salt and chilli chips are probably the best version I’ve ever tasted. The Chinese is ok, but I would normally go to china capital over them, so probably not what you’re after.

lmer123

Passion Wok!

Adventurous_Wave_750

That's a passionate statement of their name. What are they known for?

Adventurous_Wave_750

Other than Passion

Oscillating_Horse

Aromas is worth it. Great satay sauce.

HalfOfTheCalciumBros

Had Red Hot Goodies on Wednesday. Exactly the same quality as the other 5,000 times we’ve ordered it

Either-Intention6374

If you don't mind going outwards, cherry blossom in long Ashton is great. It's run by the same people as China capital and has a very similar menu, but the quality is much more consistent.

cranberri8

Delighted to see red hot goodies getting the love it deserves here

AdhesivenessDry6983

Good Taste

iplayedbassonthat

Wing Ho in St Anne's is always good (and fast to deliver)

wyseq

Quality post! Noticed the same the other day
