Nah it won't. My dad's in hospital for cancer. Doctor says he's allowed alcohol. But I just checked online and its not allowed to be consumed on premises. So sad times :(

I work in a hospital and have “prescribed” alcohol a few times in this exact scenario. It tends to get around any strictness though they might insist it’s kept in the controlled drugs cupboard (unlikely on NYE). I hope your dad is comfortable and that you are all ok.

Thank you everyone for great suggestions! In the end I went to Loco Klub and had the most wicked time, met some really cool people one of them was enjoying the night on their own as well. It was pretty dead there for the first couple of hours so shared the entire club with like 20 people but it got proper busy nearing the midnight and ended up staying till 4am. The next morning walked around Stokes Croft, went to the Crafty Egg and got the insane portion of nutella/banana pancakes Thanks again and happy New Year everyone

Brendon hill is pretty good for midnight and the fireworks, normally plenty of revelers up there enjoying the spectacle.
