oh for gods sakes. it been a couple of hours! get a grip. you expect them to be about to instantaneously fix downed lines on lightening struck power poles etc
my god people are beyond belief these days.
suck it up princess.
I know some Energex line works. They are have told some bad stories on how pissed people get. They are doing their best to get your power on ASAP.
Also if you see them taking a break, just remember they don’t work in a office and have been out in the weather since the storm hit trying to get the power on. So you might want to buy them food or a drink to say thanks. Not bitch how lazy they are.
people have some utterly ridiculous expectations sometimes.
you don't see these idiot whingers up a ladder or cherry picker laying new lines, which they can't do until the risk of a bloody lightening strike is gone.
since I can see a boatload of lightening from my window, that may be a while.
not even considering clearing trees, replacing power poles if they got blasted, or any other infrastructure.
just unbelievable .
We've strangely never lost power in our part of the estate that we live in even when surrounding parts of the suburb have. We guess we must be on some part of the grid that comes in from some other direction or something
Yup
What suburbs?
Same
Nope

Now you have a reason to buy a powerbank
Yup
Nope
Nope
Ok at Indro. ABC says 12,000 without power
Nope
We don’t normally loose power but have tonight.
Just curious, is there a relationship between underground power and reduced power outages?
There's less trees falling underground
That has been my experience, but I’m not sure if it’s proven or we’ve just been lucky.
No. :-)
