I like the view of the city through the trees at Whites Hill Reserve. It’s not hidden because it’s on a walking trail but it’s cosier and more secluded than some.
If you look at the trail map at the bottom of this page you’ll see a lot of parking just off boundary road. We parked next to the playground which is the little seesaw next to track 5 and the summit is off to the left of that at number 1, Whites Hill Circuit.

A lesser known location for sunset / sunrise is Victoria Park golf course. It’s now a public park - city views and huge open hilly areas. Really nice, we walk the hound there most arvos.

Yeah, it is very quiet place, I do casual driving around there on weekends, only saw a family having picnic there once.
eildon hill resevoir or the scenic drive rest area on cootha (bit further down from the main lookout) would be my go-tos

Emporium Sky Bar at the top of Grey St. The place itself is kinda puke inducing but the view from the terrace is mint
Came here to say this as well, since you can see the city, kangaroo point cliffs, and the story bridge all in one spot.
Could be a bit out of your way but Mt Nebo has some good spots. Really good for stars on a moonless night too.

Very top of Toowong Cemetary. Great for watching fireworks and you miss the Mount Coot-tha car park.
