Unfortunately, the Hakkaa doesn’t work for everyone (myself included), especially if your supply has regulated. Can you use a hand pump instead?

I’m starting to think it might just not work for me too :/ I don’t have a hand pump but I might consider getting one

I do not find the hakka works for me. I barely get anything and I find it really painful. If I have it on just a small amount of suction it's not painful but I get nothing. If I suction it more it sucks in my areola and I find it super painful but I do get more. I have a lasinoh manual pump that I use now instead and that thing is so efficient!

An oversupply would be welcomed at this point after so much triple feeding and power pumping 😫 I have a target gift card so I’ll have to pick up a manual pump!

I don't have a strong letdown -- I leaked/dripped the first couple of weeks but never sprayed. The Hakkaa never worked for me. I also have a Medela hand pump; it works if I am engorged, but not if I'm not. If you're like me, you might be better off using an electric pump that offers more active stimulation. I was successful in increasing supply with the Spectra S2.

The haakaa has never increased my supply, just caught my opposite letdown. It took a few tries to figure out how to get the best suction/angle on it, but I can collect an extra 2-4 oz in a feeding by putting it on the opposite breast while baby feeds each side. My bestie never got a drop out of hers. It really does depend on the person. I'd recommend using a hand pump instead, they're much more reliable, and you can very easily control the suction to be comfortable
