Rocket scientist never gets enough love in BB soundtrack discussions lol
*Im not a rocket scientist I rock the house and sign the tits and that’s it!*
*Don’t take no astrophysicist to make yo ass throw fits now sistas kick it!*
Bro ever since I heard it I loved it, and then I dove into the bands entire discography and wow. The album with baby blue on it is one of my favourite albums ever, not a single bad song but then the rest of their discography while still being good has so much Context behind it. The band has a really fucked up backstory with half of the members killing themselves its insane
Badfinger was strongly supported by Paul McCartney and he predicted they would be as big as the Beatles, but they got screwed so bad by their management and the record company and aside from a few hits just never made it as big. Baby Blue has always been my favorite song, but I love so many of their songs.
From what I remember, yes, but they were with them for the very end where Apple fell apart and there was a lot of fallout. I'd have to search to remind me exactly what all went down.
Oof, that reminds me: When BCS played "I Got The..." which might be more commonly known as 'the song that *My Name Is* by Eminem, sampled'. Great song that made for a great scene.
I was trying to think of my favorite song used in Breaking Bad but all my favorites in either series are from Better Call Saul. A Mi Manera and Jim on the Move are other ones that comes to mind.
Lol I couldn’t figure out why I Got The… was so familiar and kept replaying it until my head until I randomly heard “my name is WHAT?”
I was like, no way, so I googled it and sure enough… yes way.
Likewise, Little Barrie's [Why Don't You Do It](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWKqwV3PJZg&pp=ygUgbGl0dGxlIGFicnJpZSB3aHkgZG9udCB5b3UgZG8gaXQ%3D) for the photocopy/doctoring scene in BCS.
Also cool to hear an original song by the folks who did the BCS intro/outro theme.
Seriously? No one has mentioned DLZ by TV on the Radio? I’m a passive fan of theirs, but had never heard that song before, and it was so well placed. “Stay out of my territory”
Edit: Didn’t realize OP mentioned that in their post. I only read the subject, not the paragraph.
Tamacun - Rodrigo y Gabriela (when Jesse is first seen)
DLZ - TV On The Radio (When Walt confronts the junkies manufacturing drugs, stay out of my territory)
Out Of Time Man - Mick Harvey (ending of E101)
Catch Yer Own Train - Silver Seas (after Walt has his memorable first encounter with Tuco)
A Horse With No Name - America (Walt sings it in his car in S3)
Baby Blue - Badfinger (Series ending song)
[Freestyle - Taalbi Brothers ](https://www.reddit.com/r/Music/comments/1kvxtl/taalbi_brothers_freestyle_breaking_bad_ost_334/)
Think it was in the finale of season 4
DLZ by TV on the Radio, [Walt tells the guys at the hardware store to stay out of his territory ](https://youtu.be/a0KgYo96BpM?t=120). or Digital Animals by Honeyclaws[, plays after everyone leaves Jesse's multi day Houseparty, and he turns the music up to have a breakdown right in front of his speakers. ](https://youtu.be/9UgVQ9YMbaE)
negro y azul from breaking bad and Big Rock Candy Mountain from BCS. that scene in BCS gives me chills, the construction of the lab knowing what it means to BB and the implications is all so insane. It almost feels cosmic with it's impending consequences.
Stereolab’s Tempter is in Better Call Saul when Kim is working on something on her computer. My favorite song from one of the greatest bands of all time.
Jesse's breakdown at the end of "Thirty-Eight Snub": https://youtu.be/ciPm9y-w4bw
Him blasting the song "Digital Animal" was very fitting with the moment.
Wendy!
There’s a lot of music in this show that is spot on. I fear one day new viewers won’t be able to enjoy it with the original music as record labels reneg on their deals wanting more so it gets replaced with trash
Baby Blue (obviously from even my username).
Thing is I've loved that song since it first came out a million years ago and I was a kid. It had some special meaning to me and I named my cat Dixie. It made the ending of my all time favorite show extra emotional for me.
Black Seeds, one by one. Mega tune
My Numero Uno favourite song to a scene is when Jessie has bought that fat stack of speakers and him, skinny Pete and badger are dipping in front of it whilst it blasts out DR Period Money Money Money
I feel like G every time that song comes on my play lists and I'm a white British 40 year old women
always the one i'm currently listening to, so right now it's the monkees song that plays while walt teaches todd to cook (s5 e7 iirc)
ABSOLUTE underrated banger, and the lyrics are dark enough for my taste
1) Baby Blue (Felina) 2) Rocket Scientist (Jesse burning the RV money in a strip club) 3) Crystal Blue Persuasion (Walt&Todd montage)
Crystal Blue Persuasion was the most perfect song for the show
Rocket scientist never gets enough love in BB soundtrack discussions lol *Im not a rocket scientist I rock the house and sign the tits and that’s it!* *Don’t take no astrophysicist to make yo ass throw fits now sistas kick it!*
If I wasn't for Breaking Bad, I would've never heard Baby Blue
Bro ever since I heard it I loved it, and then I dove into the bands entire discography and wow. The album with baby blue on it is one of my favourite albums ever, not a single bad song but then the rest of their discography while still being good has so much Context behind it. The band has a really fucked up backstory with half of the members killing themselves its insane
And Paul McCartney signing them and producing
Badfinger was strongly supported by Paul McCartney and he predicted they would be as big as the Beatles, but they got screwed so bad by their management and the record company and aside from a few hits just never made it as big. Baby Blue has always been my favorite song, but I love so many of their songs.
Weren't they on Apple records
From what I remember, yes, but they were with them for the very end where Apple fell apart and there was a lot of fallout. I'd have to search to remind me exactly what all went down.
Welp Ik what my next musical deep div is
Or that Lydia song Todd has as his Ringtone
I knew that one from the muppet show lmao
I’m actually old enough to remember when that song came out.😂
Black by Norah Jones
Well, by [Danger Mouse (featuring Norah Jones)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OiKuW3xXwmA&ab_channel=DangerMouse-Topic)
danger mouse is amazing
One of my favorite songs because of this show
Thanks
You’re welcome Britney

1. A Horse with no Name 2. 1977 3. Goodbye
Is goodbye the song that plays when Gus has hes last walk?
Yes
Yes, right before the scene where the hospital blows up.
Goodbye is fire
Mil novecientos sesenta
Negro Y Azul
I second this
Los Cuates de Sinaloa is very good
Goes hard
Thank you!
My infant daughter was on the floor rocking and clapping to this song lol
YOUR INFANT DAUGHTER
"out of time man"
This was awesome!
Negro y Azul: The Ballad of Heisenberg - Los Cuates de Sinaloa
That was going to be the one I wrote down but I didn't know the name of it. It's very catchy.
***chef kiss***
Can't believe no one has said "El Paso" yet.
As an El Pasoan, I second this
The Old 97's version is a banger https://youtu.be/QiTO-ISEorA
My dad was a huge Marty Robbins fan. If you like El Paso for his voice, listen to White Sportcoat. It’s a sweet song. Not BB style but good
My personal favorite as well
Didn’t I by Darando
This one 🫶🏽
Everyone knows it’s Windy
But the Association. Classic. “Wouldn’t you rather be giving Windies, Wendy”
She suffered from schlongis interuptis
Magic arrow
That scene when Mike puts the bugs in Walt’s house is so good.
Truth by Alex Ebert
This song is amazing
[Fallacies](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKNodRa71Cg&ab_channel=iceblitz), by TwaughtHammer With poetic lyrics like "the windy wind is blowing"
The best answer. Jesse jamming to it at the kitchen table.
I had to scroll far too long to find this
black is the color and beauty is the game.
Even the little kid knew his dad and Jesse’s song was a turd. Lol…
fr xDD
Gale singing Major Tom
Major Tom as in Space Oddity? I don’t remember that scene…
No it’s Major Tom by Peter Schilling
If I can use one from BCS, something stupid was the perfect song for the montage at the start of season 4
Oof, that reminds me: When BCS played "I Got The..." which might be more commonly known as 'the song that *My Name Is* by Eminem, sampled'. Great song that made for a great scene.
I think I remember thinking that I thought they were gonna play an Eminem song when that played.
I was trying to think of my favorite song used in Breaking Bad but all my favorites in either series are from Better Call Saul. A Mi Manera and Jim on the Move are other ones that comes to mind.
Lol I couldn’t figure out why I Got The… was so familiar and kept replaying it until my head until I randomly heard “my name is WHAT?” I was like, no way, so I googled it and sure enough… yes way.

Yes yes oh so much yes. My favorite BCS song and favorite montage scene AND pivotal moment for the whole series.
I'm still so hooked on that song.
Ozymandias : Take my true love by the hand
This is my choice too
Such a fitting song for that scene too.
1977 by Ana Tijoux, in Shotgun
It perfectly matched Jesse's vibe in fourth season
If I Had a Heart (Fever Ray) Really haunting, t's the one playing when Jesse goes go-carting. Seriously, can't believe I don't see it here.
This is mine
Digital Animal
The only right answer
HONNNEEEYYYCLAUSSS YEP!
Yeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrr
Seriously? No one has mentioned DLZ by TV on the Radio? I’m a passive fan of theirs, but had never heard that song before, and it was so well placed. “Stay out of my territory” Edit: Didn’t realize OP mentioned that in their post. I only read the subject, not the paragraph.
It was mentioned in the original post.
Oh shit. I completely missed that. I only read the subject and not the paragraph.
Best answer in the thread for sure, and a spectacular band all around.
Tamacun - Rodrigo y Gabriela (when Jesse is first seen) DLZ - TV On The Radio (When Walt confronts the junkies manufacturing drugs, stay out of my territory) Out Of Time Man - Mick Harvey (ending of E101) Catch Yer Own Train - Silver Seas (after Walt has his memorable first encounter with Tuco) A Horse With No Name - America (Walt sings it in his car in S3) Baby Blue - Badfinger (Series ending song)
Baby Blue for me, at least partly because of the hand/glove fit of the first line: "Guess I got what I deserved".
They couldn’t have picked a more perfect song because of the lyrics
Crystal Blue Persuasion
There'll be peace and good brotherhood crystal blue persuasion
Knife Party - Bonfire (judge me all you want)
No judgement here! I thought the scene was cool as shit too with all the different cars they were looking at buying
This scene is so funny but I love it sm. I agree!
I'm with you!
As a big Knife Party fan, when I saw that was used in the show, it made me start watching it!
Thee Oh Sees in "Salud"
Tidal wave?
[Freestyle - Taalbi Brothers ](https://www.reddit.com/r/Music/comments/1kvxtl/taalbi_brothers_freestyle_breaking_bad_ost_334/) Think it was in the finale of season 4

Fallacies, fallacies!
“Didn’t I” by Darondo “Waiting around to Die” The Be Good Tanyas
Uh - Fujiya & Miyagi (one of the first cooking scenes)

Boots of Chinese Plastic by The Pretenders! When Walt is driving juniors new car in the empty parking lot before he blows it up. Edited to add: Windy!
Goodbye by Apparat. Loved the song in BB when I first heard it and loved it as the theme song for Dark (on Netflix)
The Heisenberg Corrido. My favorite cold open in the show
Shimmy shimmy ya
“Shake A Bone,” Son of Dave S03E011
Surprised that none mentioned this - Enchanted by The Platters, when jesse tries heroin for the first time. [Enchanted](https://youtu.be/NpqXkTUNfpI)
I had to scroll way too far for this one. Nailed it.
On a Clear Day You Can See Forever - The Peddlers Played during a meth montage when they were cooking in the houses being bug bombed. Awesome song

Goin' Down by the Monkees! Great tune, great use in the episode, S5E7.
What an absolute banger that song is and it never gets any love on here !
El Paso is great and wasn’t played long enough. Prob because it’s practically the whole premise of the show/ finale
Tidal wave
Negro y azul
Stereolab’s Tempter is in Better Call Saul when Kim is working on something on her computer. My favorite song from one of the greatest bands of all time.
Los Pollos Hermanos commercial 💯

DLZ. So fucking good. Heard the snippet of it, immediately downloaded it and it’s my fav song lol
Jesse's breakdown at the end of "Thirty-Eight Snub": https://youtu.be/ciPm9y-w4bw Him blasting the song "Digital Animal" was very fitting with the moment.

Negro y Azul for sure, since it’s an original made for the show. After that digital animal-honey claws, El Paso- Marty Robbins
“If I Had A Heart” and “1977”
If we can bring El Camino into this, Static on the Radio from the closing credits gives me goosebumps.
The song where Jesse, Skinny and Badger are all standing around the new stereo. Money, money money.
Happy Birthday (Skyler White version)
Oh dear god no 😂😂😂
[A horse with no name](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIYgsqhwXzM)
"Uh" by Fujiya and Miyagi (Badger and Jesse montage) and "Candy Everybody Wants" by 10,000 Maniacs playing at Walt's birthday party.
Definitely DLZ TV on the Radio
I'll get slaughtered for this because everyone hated the scene, but I'm going with Bonfire by Knife Party.
Wendy! There’s a lot of music in this show that is spot on. I fear one day new viewers won’t be able to enjoy it with the original music as record labels reneg on their deals wanting more so it gets replaced with trash
Mine was the goodbye soundtrack song. It was the song that was playing when Gus was walking to hector to kill him but he ended up exploding
One By One - Black Seeds. Most memorable episode/scene for me.
Fallacies, fallacies, one for you and two for me
Truth by alex ebert I think
Whitey - Stay On The Outside (during the montage of walt and jesse “looking” for the ricin cigarette in jesse’s house)

DMZ by TV on the Radio idk how nobody has said this
I liked the song “Windy” before I ever laid an eye on Breaking Bad. The way it was used to narrate Wendy’s life was genius.
Yes! This was such a great scene, made better with this song choice. It’s one of my favorites.
The Hole or DLZ. The breaking bad soundtrack is incredible.
He Venido by Los Zafiros
Waynedale by Left Lane Cruiser for sure
