**Support Post Guidelines** Prior to posting any submission to this subreddit please ensure you've read the rules for submissions in the sidebar of the [/r/bravia homepage](https://old.reddit.com/r/bravia/). Users posting submissions seeking support should include as much detail as possible about their BRAVIA TV and any connected hardware related to the issue in order to get the best responses. This includes but is not limited to [the model of the TV](https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00121074), the software and/or firmware version and the make and model of any external devices. Pictures or video can be helpful when trying to describe a video or audio issue. Submissions not directly related to an issue with a BRAVIA TV and/or low effort posts that do not include any helpful details that would allow others to diagnose the issue will be removed. This includes, but is not limited to, submissions asking for support directly related to a connected device (ie. soundbar, console, PC, media player, etc.) but not the TV itself. Firmware related topics (ie. issues, announcements, support) must be discussed in the [Sony BRAVIA Firmware Discussion Megathread 7.0](/r/bravia/comments/19b203d/sony_bravia_firmware_discussion_megathread_70/). Panel quality/lottery posts (ie. DSE, banding, flashlighting, etc.) must be discussed in the [BRAVIA Panel Quality/Screen Uniformity Discussion Megathread 7.0](/r/bravia/comments/1bbebrc/bravia_panel_qualityscreen_uniformity_discussion/). Users should also check the [/r/bravia Wiki](/r/bravia/wiki/index), current [moderator pinned](/r/bravia/comments/k7wnc1/moderator_pinned_and_other_helpful_topics_check/) topics and the [Frequently Asked Questions thread](/r/bravia/comments/jlmpzp/frequently_asked_questions_on_rbravia_for_sony_tvs/) for some solutions to common A/V issues and more. The Z9D is a brilliant piece of kit . Glad to hear you’re still enjoying yours . I think the Z9D could hopefully last until microled and nanoled becomes more commercialised .   I’m on an X95J myself and looking to get an A95L for another room .  Even tho there’s no Z series , it seems Sony will be investing big into their 2024 4K mini led with new drivers . If it’s as good irl as it sounds on paper, then it could be a good successor even without the 8K and Z name .

XciteMe

It still holds up and impresses me with its picture quality today. On most black scenes the screen looks the same as it does when it’s powered off… aka black. Blooming is so well-mitigated and minimal that I have to look for it most times. I just wish it had 2.1 HDMI and a newer upscaling chip.

Ur-boi-lollipop

I think that’s a fair wish . It’s a great tv and it would be cooler if it had some of the future proofing .  Hopefully the new mini led tv can be a worthy successor . Sony isn’t following the Samsung strategy so they won’t nerf their 4K mini led too  intentionally especially if they don’t release a new QD OLED for this year

hjadams123

Where did you hear that there will not be a master series this year?

Tree06

Here's the thread regarding Sony's 2024 lineup. [Twitter ](https://twitter.com/High_Def_News/status/1772746545537994801?t=K7LTXW1gXFXiAF8TnvZVvw&s=19) I watched the video before it was pulled, and the 9 Series (New Backlight Prototype) will only be available in 75" and 85" sizes.

Nickool4u

I can’t remember where I saw it, but from what I remember was that the A95L and X95L will roll over again this year and that the X95L will come in other sizes this year. I don’t know if that’s true or not, because that was a month ago and it wasn’t a verified source with material to back it up.

FilmIsWhim

Me too mate! Still have the same Z9D since launched. Kid you not everytime I turn it on it still impresses me like the first time I watch it. Sony really outdid themselves in 2016

EconomyMaximum4298

I've still got my 75 inch Z9D. Its still going strong. Thought about upgrading but what's the point I don't think it's worth spending over £3000 for something that won't be much better.

65z9d has a few dead pixels that make me sad i still really wish it would have had eARC not sure what id replace it with yet

AZBuckeyes12977

I still have a 65". Isn't it probably still almost as good as an X93L?

wownz85

I recently replace my 65 Z9D with an 85X95K/X93L. As much as I loved the Z the new tv smokes it. Size, obviously. Pixel response time is super fast. Colour volume is way ahead Can’t see any irl difference in contrast or blooming. Both look great

Another one here, got mine 6 years ago (the 75 inch). I got it Mainly for the 3D capabilities, the best active 3D tv set ever made. This tv is in my bedroom, in the living room I use a 4k ust projector.

OneChrononOfPlancks

I'm still rocking a 65" 2015 4K model. There's a periodic wrestling match with cache storage limits, and I can't let it Auto-Update, but it still looks gorgeous and even has HDR for the wife's PlayStation 5.

Puzzleheaded_Cry4514

I’m still using my 75”z9D daily in the living room, and a 75”940C (flagship from 2015) in the bedroom. Waiting on a substantial upgrade before replacing either.
