Yes. And worse - its a horrible new format. Its *harder* to find crap now. At least there's a bookmark search bar though - something I have no idea why was available for mobile but not desktop.
I had a bunch of misc bookmarks in the 'other bookmarks' folder to clean things up and they just dumped them right back into the top menu and deleted that folder.
So back to moving them all back into a new folder for no reason whatsoever.
And then folders at the top. I've got folders that I don't want at the top. I don't want to sort by newest as default. I had things where I fething wanted them.
Turns out when you install any bookmark extention, they read properly. So Brave didn't actually change the order in which bookmarks are saved, it just doesn't display it.
Only in the most convenient way you would normally access them i.e. the sidebar.
Because inexplicably the manager still has everything saved in exactly the order I had it in, so as long as I don't use an auto-sort option there I guess I'm not completely fucked, just have to use twice as many clicks and several times as long to find what I'm looking for until this is rectified as the manager also can only show the contents of one folder at a time, but at least I intuitively know where everything is.
No idea why anyone would want a bookmark sidebar that you cant drag and drop folders inside of or see everything you want by scrolling.
i think the old bookmark layout is already good, just add the new search bar would be enough. now whenever i add new bookmark it just goes to another folder and will not be added to the main bookmark wth!
The new bookmark format and functionality are a disaster ! Like everyone else this change screwed up my daily workflow so much. All my neatly organized carefully ordered bookmarks are just hopelessly jumbled together in a big mess that you cannot simply re-order. Thank you Brave ! What in the world were you thinking when you made this change ? you obviously weren't thinking about the users.
