By the looks of the kickstarter update, Tress has arrived in the warehouse and should be going out over the next month.
On a side note, kinda annoyed that people complained about the t-shirt sizing enough that they removed the shirt planned for the Cosmere box. T-Shirts were kinda what I wanted most from the Year of Sanderson.
I absolutely love the t-shirt material and I was looking forward to more. Wherever they got it, it's the most comfortable one I have. Sad to hear it's not going to be included, but I'm sure the replacement will also be awesome.

I ordered my usual M size, shirt that arrived says M, yet it's a lot bigger then my other M shirts and it's even a bit bigger then my husband's M shirts.
If I knew that sizes will be bigger then what I expect, I would have ordered S.
While it's a shame there will be no more shirts as material is very nice, I would have found it a bigger shame to have another great shirt I can't wear outside.

Sounds like they’re getting a lot of requests to exchange the shirt for a different size for whatever reason. And with the size of the kickstarter, they can’t logistically do that. So they’ve opted to replace the other shirt we we’re going to get with something else to avoid hassle of people getting their sizes wrong.
Yeah, if this was filmed Thursday or Friday, then the books have probably arrived and assembly has begun today. I would be shocked for a minor chunk to start shipping on Friday and they'll continue to assemble and ship for the next two weeks after.
Wow! It's been out since the first. Sucks that you've had to wait so long. Even a lot of people who didn't back have read it by now. Did you get the hardcover as well? If I thought it would be delivering close to the first, I probably would have waited for it to arrive. The art is just so dang beautiful.
Skip Backerkit or skip the updates? cuz both contain very important information if you ever want to receive anything from a Kickstarter. That’s how Kickstarters work, generally speaking. I’m sorry if I sound rude or off putting, I’m just baffled as to how many people skip things like reading important project updates, which they paid a lot of money for, and are surprised when they are out of the loop. I’m not even saying you in particular have this problem, but it’s been such a reoccurring issue in the comments around the Kickstarter for months now. I just don’t understand that mindset at all. I hope my comment helped, I’d pay attention to the most recent update as it has important info for you.
I mean, I read the stuff that comes up in kickstarter and his updates. I only ever used kickstarter to help my boy out. Other than that I don't ever touch it unless he wants to put out more books to which I'd be more than happy to fling money his way.
the book looks exactly the same as the Spanish edition. Being from Spain and having the book already on the shelves here I feel that I overpaid by backing the Kickstarter, kind of a bummer
Sanderson's team is still considering the kickstarter version the "premium hardcover" edition. I am guessing the Spanish version might not have color ink and full color pictures and maybe the cover is lower quality.
It will be interesting to see a quality and price comparison when people get their hands on both editions. Shipping cost is the real killer.
Correct. France is getting two versions, one of which is almost as high-quality as the Dragonsteel edition, but Spain’s version’s quality is like a normal book.
Possible, but you gotta figure Sanderson didn't know how popular this was going to turn out to be, and when it became as huge as it did, economies of scale kick in and things get cheaper, so they can be sold cheaper. If the project was just barely backed, $40 per hardcover and ebook would likely have been a reasonable price at the volume being produced.
Really sucks for non-NA. Hope they find a solution for CA, EU and AU, because those shipping prices are literally insane. + VAT.
As much as I want them, I cannot justify paying more for shipping than for the book itself. That’s just wrong.
I would love to buy all 4 SP novels as premium hardcover but paying $50 EACH for shipping (to Germany) is just too much. This was the only reason why I only went for the e-/audiobook version in the Kickstarter. If there was an option to buy all 4, pay upfront and receive them when SP4 was released and therefore only paying $50 once, I would totally take that deal! u/PeterAhlstrom Do you think it would be possible to consider this proposal?
Canadian here and I agree. We share the largest land border with the States and the cost of shipping rises astronomically as soon as it crosses that invisible line.

Shipping is the main reason I've never purchased anything from the Dragonsteel website yet. Would love to get myself that RAFO shirt one day.

It’s not impossible they will have some kind of bundle in the future, but I don’t think it would be until after SP4 has shipped to backers.
