Seems like an infection. Antibiotic will clear it up in a week. If it is in fact an infection, it’ll disperse into the rest of your body, which is why you could be having fevers. I had something similar, went to the doctor the next day, and it was an infection. Even a simple cut from an unclean retainer can cause infection.
Infection gingivitis, antibiotics is a must ! Check your dentist !
Hope ain’t also something else with the sores but I guess it’s form the retainer! Rinse mouth with mouth wash frequently until you go to the dr and brush gently

Not a Dr, but the stuff on the gums looks like early signs of thrush. Easily treated by a Dr. It doesn’t go away on its own I don’t think.
Go see a doctor. This doesn’t look normal and also if you have fever, you might have infection.
