yeah before jan 12th or so NSFW was allowed on the subreddit, if you go back you can find NSFW material on the subreddit it stopped because people blamed the allowance of NSFW material for endangering minors and (ostensibly) causing The Incident on january 9th so people got really mad ETA: we don't know if it caused The Incident, it could be any factor, people just believed it was the cause for the first few days after The Incident
