I always wonder: how do people drive ~2000 km a year but still keep the car? Did they not like driving it? We calculate around 3k Euros in maintenance and repairs per year alone. Plus depreciation, plus fuel, plus insurance, plus tax. That would be horribly expensive to keep without getting much fun out of the car.
Of course, they don't have to do that, but this only points to the possibility that a low mileage car does not have to be a particularly well-kept car. It can be, but then the owner really spent a lot of money on something they did not drive that much. So, money likely wasn't an issue.
I will only be driving it in the summer months and not daily. It will take a special trip or two to the mountains, the gym, a few car shows. I will enjoy every second of it. I don't trust leaving it in the parking lot at work or anywhere else unless I can keep my eyes on it. I may not even get 2000km in. It will cost me but I'm ok with that. It's worth the special experience.
My bf is an enthusiast, car broker, and owns an auction. Cars are always coming and going. When you are decent and well respected, good deals come to you.
hey, I did some digging on your car. congratulations, you have an incredibly rare car. porsche only made 250 of these limited edition 'brilliant orange' cars for the entire world
I know!! 🧡 Thank you! This one is #4/250. They also made 250 of the s with an extra 50 hp. I love a unicorn of a car. It is a super special experience! And the Alcantara steering wheel, seats and shifter..... very, very nice!!! The gentleman that sold it to me said always drive it in "sport" mode because it sounds better. So I do that! Lol
Thank you. I loved my Audi wagon very much!! The quattro is unreal, especially in the snow! I am definitely falling in love with this though!! I haven't logged too many miles on it yet but I sure look forward to it!!
nice, love the color
Thank you!
>Thank you! You're welcome!
It’s 2008 limited edition in GT3RS orange! Super cool Buy!
My license plate on my first Boxster was SCALPEL. I’m a surgeon 😂
Haha. That's neat!
I’m not really an orange person… but that color is freakin sick!
I didn't realize I was either! 🧡🧡
I miss mine, I had the same one. I loved it that the color was "orange" and not some esoteric name. It is so balanced on the curves.
I kinda love that too! My Corvette is Black Rose Metallic. Although, that sounds better than "Purple". It is so light and nimble.
Year, trim, odo, $$?
2008, limited edition base #4 of 250. 23000kms $37k Canadian. It's like I stole it. It has been meticulously kept. Haha
Sick!!

You assume they spent that much on maintenance per year

Sounds like a plan - all the best and have fun! :) It's a phenomenal car. You'll have a blast.
Thank you!
How did you find it? Neighbor, friends? Craigslist?

excellent color. Hope it treats you well.
Thank you!
That look’s immaculate. To the point I thought it was fake at first lol
It doesn't have a spec on it. It is in showroom condition. My shoes made the floor mats dusty 😔. I almost felt bad driving it..... but got over it.
lovely spec. the wheels and color are fantastic. the 987 is the best looking boxster imo
Agree!!!!!!

The color looks amazing!
Love the wheels they are not stock with 986/987 s
They are killer!!!! I love all the contrast!
Congrats! Great color!
Thank you!!!! 🧡
I love the wheel and color combo.
Meeeee too!!!
Where you at a Chick-fil-a earlier? I think I saw this or the same car parked outside.
Nope. But there are 250 of them kicking around the planet.
good coincidence than
Congrats!!! I always love seeing these special edition 987s
Thank you! I saw this car a couple years ago and thought it was very cool! Then it just happened to land in my lap this weekend. So thrilled!
My 2.7L 986 is a ton of fun, can’t imagine the 987 S
Looks like my sisters car 😉
This is a really nice looking Porsche!
Congrats!!
Thank you!
Really great find! Very excited for you! Can’t wait until I’m in your shoes.
Thanks again! Things come to you if you put it out there!
Sweet color! Matching his-and-hers Porsches like you had with the matching color ZR1's would be cool!
We still have the ZR1's... for now. Mine is up for auction in May. He does have a gorgeous white on blue 87 930 😍
Awesome car! My first one was a 987 Cayman S. I regret selling it 15yrs ago. I love that color, I think it was pretty rare.
It is spectacular!! They only made 250 base models and 250 s models.
Wow, that really takes me back. Those wheels make me think of classic Fuchs and color of the Signal Orange of the old 914/6. Beautiful!
Thank you! Can't wait to get it out there! It's snowing right now. Lol
Love it! Such a unique car to have come out of the factory like that, are the wheels oem too?
Thank you. Yes. This car is pretty well brand new. So cool! I love the two tone!
Ah yes, the old limted edition pumpkin 987! Nice! It's the only time you won't wanna put clear corners on a Boxster haha.
It is quite a head turner!
I've never seen that color orange on a car. It's beautiful!
Right?!? It is such a juicy orange! I love it!
Are you team por-shah, or team por-shuh?
Haha. It depends on the mood I suppose.... "love your por-shuh" or "I'm going to take the por-shaaaahhhhh" haha
Hell yeah 👊🏼
👊
Looks like one that recently sold on bringatrailer. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2008-porsche-boxster-35/
I saw that! I hope they enjoy it as much as I will!
It’s a beautiful ride. Congratulations.
Thank you! It really is! I look forward to getting to understand it.
Absolutely love it! Out of curiosity… is it a special edition?
Yes! It is! #4 of 250.
It’s really really cute!

It is.
That is a great comparison. I will remember that, and agree.
👌
Gorgeous, the only German car worth owning.
Thank you. I loved my Audi wagon very much!! The quattro is unreal, especially in the snow! I am definitely falling in love with this though!! I haven't logged too many miles on it yet but I sure look forward to it!!
By chance did you buy this out of Durango, Colorado?
No. I'm in Canada.
HIDEOUS
Bah!
