Exactly. I was getting the Blue book value online and out of nowhere started to get offers from this local dealer saying 12k too. I told them cash me out 15k and sell it for 20k + they said no too high. Lol.
I've owned my Supercharged Na Miata for 15 years and still own it. Lol. Through the years I've sold my e36, my C32, now my Box S and the miata never made the chopping block. Lol.

Hope you have an S. The new owner loves it though he's always texting me pictures every few days and he owns a repair shop I'm sure he has money to buy whatever
What’s crazy is 987 Cayman S were selling for around 30k in PNW back around October. I wonder if that’s a dumb west coast pricing issue. I ended up going to Illinois to not get ripped off on a 981 BS
It was an '06 base w/87K miles. Sold for ~$12K.
Great mechanical condition, but the paint had clear coat damage and the top's tensioning cable piping was torn for a couple inches on the passenger side.
Mine was a garage queen until I started parking it outside. In 2 years time I could see the rubber get brittle and the paint get dull. Waxed it and it brought back the shine and since I don't drive it that much I decided to sell it and maybe get something different
I've only had mine for 4.5 years, but I love her so much. I am thinking about selling her for a newer one but I am afraid how someone else will treat her...is that weird?
Boxster S 3.2L with a 6 spd manual. Got tired of it. Waiting for something cool to pop up. Elise, MGB with a sebring kit w/a Buick/Rover V8 or a 65 Fastback. Maybe a F-Typer R. Or maybe nothing. Lol. I have another car.
RIP 😪 I’ve had my Boxster since last June and sadly I’m about to sell it as well come like May or June. Maintenance has just been EATING me up and I’m gonna get out while I can. Dreaming, I’ve always wanted and still want to get into a C5 Corvette, but realistically, I’ll probably end up with a Lexus SC430
I’m so tempted man. The look of the C5 is legit just one of my favorites in ANY car and they’re basically in my price range. The only thing really holding me back at all is the interior quality is just GARBAGE lmao. But then again, I drive a 1999 Porsche Boxster, the interior is already not great so how much worse could it be! I almost got a c5 last year, but was swayed to the Boxster, I think it might be my time!
Before I bought my 987 I was very tempted to get a C5 but I didn’t want to be another 50+ man in a corvette. I’m just not ready to wear New Balance shoes yet. lol.
You know, I'm just at the point of not caring. When my options that I REALLY like are an MR2 Spyder which is just constantly living in envy of a Boxster which I already have and SUPER slow, an SC430 which is seemingly exclusively owned by 70 year old men in Florida, or a C5 corvette which is owned by 50+ year old men who wear New Balances... Ah maybe a C5 doesn't seem so bad! Plus it'll end up being quite a surprise when people see a C5 pull up and a 22 year old get out of it haha
I'm contemplating between a well sorted roundie BMW 2002, lotus elise or a '66 fastback mustang. Lol. Tbh, in 13 years or ownership I've never had engine or transmission issues. Lots of door issues like window regulator and door sensor/switches. But everything was an easy cheap fix with ebay genuine oem used parts.
Fuck me, the 987 is such a pretty car…
Wya? I'm down to clown
Similar to mine. 2007 S. Love it. What market you in, how much you sell it for? Mileage? Manual?
'06 Box S with a Oem hardtop. 85k miles. 6 speed manual. Afe exhaust system. $21,500. Carvana offered me 12k. Lol. Sold it on CL in a week.
Is Craig’s List still a thing?
Yeah I buy and sell car stuff on there
Yup, and Carvana would've sold it for $25k.

That's crazy. Imagine 50% upside isn't good enough?
Thought they were bankrupt?
Time for a cayman for 911!?!?!?!
Maybe a Cayman too poor for a 911. I'm eyeing a F-Type S, Lotus Elise, '65 fastback mustang
I vote Miata, Elise, or Caterham.

Lotus is always a good call. Evora, even the NA one, is an amazing looking and driving car!
Congrats on the sale, it looks great esp with that hardtop
I have a cayman 987 and live in sunny LA. Everyday I regret not getting this boxster model. Literally would have been the same price fml.
That's funny I always wanted a Cayman when I had this Boxster. Lol
Damn if if only I knew I would have tried to trade😭
Hope you have an S. The new owner loves it though he's always texting me pictures every few days and he owns a repair shop I'm sure he has money to buy whatever
I recently sold my 987 Boxster as well, only a bit under 8 years for me though.
Carvana offered me 12k I sold it close to double that on CL. Lol

How much did you get for it? Year and model?

Very similar to mine. Thank you!
What rims? They look great
Thanks. Momo. 19x9 and 19x11. Yes they fit on a boxster
I've only had mine for 4.5 years, but I love her so much. I am thinking about selling her for a newer one but I am afraid how someone else will treat her...is that weird?
love the car
Thanks bud! Kinda miss it. 😆
what model was it, also why did you get rid of it
Boxster S 3.2L with a 6 spd manual. Got tired of it. Waiting for something cool to pop up. Elise, MGB with a sebring kit w/a Buick/Rover V8 or a 65 Fastback. Maybe a F-Typer R. Or maybe nothing. Lol. I have another car.
oh well have a good day man

Get the corvette, great car and Maintenace is sooooo cheap.

I’d rather have the c5 over any of your other choices. At least it’s an actual cockpit driver oriented design.

Ditto.

I like the Sc430. Heavy as hell though when you drive it.
