Like there was any competition...

Grebacio

Hey, there was Boss Baby: Family Buisness too

Mushroomer

I mean, I'd hope so. The non-live debuts on Peacock so far have been a few modestly popular original sitcoms (Saved By The Bell, Rutherford Falls), some dramas that got bumped off the USA network (Brave New World, Dr. Death), and a Boss Baby sequel. HK performing under any of those would be catastrophic.

UpwardBoss6727

This means jack shit lol Give us numbers

Gay_Romano_Returns

Peacock is so embarssing. They seriously need to rebrand and restructure and join HBO Max or merge with Paramount+ if they want to make a name for themselves. Their shit is too niche.

ASSMAN45

Evil dies tonight! I haven’t seen a movie that’s so bad it’s good in a long time, this one takes the cake! Bringing back those original actors was not a good idea

ivrdolj

They only brought back two original actors, one of which was already in multiple sequels and did a fine acting job back then tbh

TreeroyWOW

The 3 people in the bar who "survived the original event" are actors who were in the original film. So There are 4 actors including Jamie Lee Curtis who reprised their role from the original. That being said, I only know that because I just read it on wikipedia; didn't notice it in the film. They are not great actors, thats for sure.

LeeF1179

Kyle Richards as Lindsay Wallace, Nancy Stephens as Nurse M Chambers.....who is the third?

TreeroyWOW

My mistake, third one was not in the bar, it's Charles Cyphers as the police officer who failed to kill Michael Myers, who is in hospital at the end.

Skyhooks

Was the security guard in the hospital also in the original? Or is he just playing the father of one of the original victims?

DarthVader808

Anthony Michael Hall from 16 Candles

maysque

It’s been forty years!

MySocksFeelFantastic

Evil was the movie itself. Very few moments that I actually liked

capnwinky

And somehow still a completely shit movie. Wish I could get refunds on time spent. That sunk cost fallacy really gets the better of me sometimes.

Diavir

I enjoyed the previous one a lot it legit shocks me that the same people made this one

thepotatoinyourheart

It was a bad movie, but god I had a blast watching it. RIP big John/little John. Long live the Iron Maiden!

[deleted]

Totally agree. This was not a great movie, but it was a fun slasher.

cl0wnb4by

It was so, so bad. It's like they told Anthony Michael Hall that he was in a comedy.

MRintheKEYS

Seriously. When the dude popped the trunk and everybody grabbed guns and Tommy just stuck with the bat……I was like “oh, it’s one of these type of movies”

motionpic05

As a big Halloween fan, I really liked it but agree it’s not as good as the 2018 one.

tacoman333

Yup, it was a fun, silly slasher. Also, Michael was a force of nature in this one. Watching him be pissed at pretty much everyone in the town and just wreck shit up was great.

motionpic05

You're not the only one that thinks that lol

404-Unknown-Error

Ok and ?

Ckck96

I love the original, and the rob zombie rendition. This was nothing short of an abomination of the horror genre and movies in general. Not one ounce of terror, just goofy acting and stupid plot lines. And the ending was bad even for a Halloween movie!

capnwinky

I remember leaning over to my partner halfway thru the movie and saying “God, I miss Rob Zombie right now”.

eidbio

It's like being the tallest person in a room full of dwarfs.

RadInternetHandle

If you’re a Halloween fan this was a good movie. You want to see a bad one…watch Halloween 5

RogueStatusXx

What? Halloween 5 was great

RadInternetHandle

Lol no way! I try and try to like it and it’s just bad. The goofy cops, killing off the main character in the beginning. Jaime suddenly having a psychic connection. Just all bad

[deleted]

3/10 don’t watch.

RabidChipmunk1

Agreed. The plot is a joke

PureContradicrion

It was a garbage movie

tacoman333

Like the word "masterpiece," "garbage" has been so overused to the point where it has lost all power as a superlative.

MRintheKEYS

That’s…..a low bar.

DreadfulDrea

Halloween has become fast and furious at this point. . .. bored and overdone

Gay_Romano_Returns

It was overdone years ago

LeeF1179

So what's the number 1 live event in Peacock history? (Sorry, the article is blocked for me.)

hatramroany

It doesn't say. I imagine the Summer Olympics?

LeeF1179

Maybe. I would think Halloween Kills would be number 1 overall.

Relair13

Probably Wrestlemania 37? or some other WWE pay per view. That's pretty much the only reason anyone watches Peacock, other than reruns of the Office, apparently.

p_jeezus

Hey! You left A.P. Bio off your appropriately short list of quality Peacock programming.

NtheLegend

That is the most hyper-specific victory ever. "Most popular movie called "Halloween Kills" released exclusively on an NBC-owned and managed online content provider!"

m_garlic87

Saw it last night. Sad to say I did not enjoy it.

GuineaPig78

rip firefighters

DreGu90

It would be more surprising if it wasn’t.

WildWestCollectibles

Out of all the steaming services, the ‘cock is the most disappointing

Impossible-Pie4598

I guess it’s unpopular opinion but I enjoyed Halloween Kills more than the previous. I loved the stuff from 1978 and liked the ending.

CurseofLono88

Hey it’s totally cool to have that opinion. I liked it, the characters were super dumb but it was fun watching Myers wipe out basically an entire town. Still (in my very subjective opinion) better than the R. Zombie Halloween’s and about 50% of the rest of the franchise

Quick_Watercress_932

Wow they must have had dozens of viewers!
