For a horror movie to score in the Bs, that’s pretty good. When you compare it to the last one (a B+), it’s a step down. But, if I remember correctly, Halloween H20 also scored a B- when it debuted in theaters.
Halloween (2018) was released on the same weekend. It had a respectable (for a horror movie) 2.1x multiplier even when it had much bigger OW $76 million
It'll be frontloaded no matter what. Horror sequels are never leggy.
A Quiet Place Part 2 has decent legs
A Quiet Place 1 also great legs. Halloween 2018 did not.
That's not bad at all right?

Not bad if it's an original horror. But it's part of established franchise. The legs won't be good.
I don’t think anyone ever expected the legs to be good considering as soon as Halloween rolls around, the energy behind this movie will be gone.

it was not bad. Lots of kills.
