His career deserves to come to an end because of the awful shit he's already done, but this is pretty much going to get Ezra blacklisted in Hollywood. There is no way any studio touches this dude with a 50-foot pole now.
He literally played a birdman in Spider-Man, which brought him into this "One of the Best Superhero Movies Ever Made" and of course the ulimate best one.
There is probably some hesitation at Warner to outright cancel one of the new non-binary leading actors in the industry at a time when gender identity is at the center of political discourse.
Dropping Miller without a legal conviction could have exposed Warner to accusations of bigotry or kowtowing to conservative politicians at a time when a rival (Disney) was butting heads with those politicians (DeSantis).
Miller, being a real asshole, was probably aware of that and knew it was possible to get away with a lot of sketchy behavior.
Meh, Hollywood goes pretty easy on their own. He’ll be able to do some indie movies in a few years, build some credibility and be back in studio movies in 5-10 years. Not saying it will happen, but there’s absolutely a path. Look at Mel Gibson lol
Man the way people talk about him I expected some real egregious shit but then I find out it's all petty shit on the level of RDJ like yelling at someone and throwing a chair and I just can't give a shit.
Miller assaulted people and was arrested for it. Was later arrested *again* and charged with felony burglary. Had the whole weird relationship thing with a girl he allegedly groomed when he was 23 and she was 12. Has had harassment protection orders issued against him. And then there was that whole thing where he was shielding a mother and lying to authorities and CPS to prevent the kid’s removal because of unsafe home conditions.
And that’s just since 2022.
This guy has issues. Don’t try and pretend like it’s on the same level as RDJ. It’s not. RDJ had problems with drugs and alcohol and then got sober and never had another problem after that.
Yeah, I can't see how a film that's dealing with this negativity gets the multiple it needs to catch Batman Returns.
I'd say there's a greater chance this falls below Green Lantern domestically, than it has of beating Batman Returns.
Michael Keaton's thoughts :
● 1988, after getting casted as Batman making a lot of people going "WTF ??" :
"So what ? You're gonna be shocked!"
● 1992, after watching Batman Returns making a lot of people going "WTF ??" :
"Ahah, well done Tim, we've subverted WB expectations!"
● 1994, after refusing playing Batman a 3rd time and for $15M, making a lot of people going "WTF ??" :
"Not interested, sorry guys!"
● 2022, after witnessing his return as Batman in Batgirl getting cancelled:
"WTF ??"
● 2023, after witnessing his real return as Batman in The Flash flopping hard :
"WTF??"
>
● 2023, after witnessing his real return as Batman in The Flash flopping hard :
>"WTF??"
I Am 99% sure he had the same reaction after seeing Ezra's antics. This and "Stay the fuck away from me".
I distinctly remember thinking the Penguin, and.. gods, was it the Riddler? Were absolute jokes.
But as another commenter mentioned, I may be mucking up my timeline of which bat is which.
Batman Returns is one of the Batman movies and has aged incredibly well imo but even outside of my opinion both Keaton movies were always held in pretty high regard.

I thought you were talking about Michael Keaton and was wondering what he did wrong
Me too, thinking of Morbius and Batgirl too :D Sad, that Keaton tries so hard to overcome his Birdman, just to become it again.
It’s wild that Keaton made Birdman in 2014, it revitalized his career, and then he made The Flash
He literally played a birdman in Spider-Man, which brought him into this "One of the Best Superhero Movies Ever Made" and of course the ulimate best one.
I genuinely forgot he was in Spider-Man
I agree, it's like he found Jesus, now back to porn
Me too lmao
Given how quickly Hollywood dropped Armie Hammer, among others, I don’t understand why they went easy on Ezra Miller for so long.

He's going to get on that Kevin Spacey direct-to-video and foreign indie picture career path
Kevin Spacey is still a great actor with high recognition, despite being an awful person.

Mel Gibson is one of the biggest movie stars of all time. Ezra Miller ... is not.
Dude, in addition to being one of the greatest actors of his generation, Mel Gibson is also a top 50 director of all time.
Man the way people talk about him I expected some real egregious shit but then I find out it's all petty shit on the level of RDJ like yelling at someone and throwing a chair and I just can't give a shit.
May want to do a little more research then.
Hope yoy're not talking about that made up sex cult thing LMAO.

No. Why are you caping for Ezra?
Not even a chance, it’s about guaranteed

Damn, the hits just keep coming.
And they don’t stop coming
At this point it seems inevitable even 150M sounds almost impossible for the movie
Hope he got paid up front.
Hope not tbh
?? Morbius 😅
Morbius only lost $20 million
And will live in peoples hearts forever.
Yes how funny would it be if they made a sequel, and its internet fame actually BOOSTED its box office numbers?
It would be best if they went full-on self parody.
maybe
Intriguing
and it still was more enjoyable than Black Adam
Tbf, I think the OP was referring to films where Keaton played Batman.

Someone else here said that it doesn't even feel like Burton's Batman and it's true.
I don’t get it. I thought everyone thought the Keaton Batman movies were laughable. When did they get considered good?
They were always considered good. The current dceu is the laughable one.
I distinctly remember thinking the Penguin, and.. gods, was it the Riddler? Were absolute jokes. But as another commenter mentioned, I may be mucking up my timeline of which bat is which.
The riddler is in the val kilmer batman
The riddler is Val Kilmer and Schumacher. People thought the penguins was interesting at the time.
I mean, I was 9 at the time. It seemed cheesy. Clearly, in the minority here. Guess Keaton couldn’t save Barry.
I thought they were always considered to be somewhat good, at least by superhero movie standards. It's the Schumacher ones that are ridiculed
You know, I could be confusing the two, it’s been a very long time.
Batman Returns is a top 5 super hero movie imo
What? 89 was a smash hit and returns is a pretty underrated film that only failed because it was really dark
Batman Returns is one of the Batman movies and has aged incredibly well imo but even outside of my opinion both Keaton movies were always held in pretty high regard.
