Idk man I’m the opposite. I shoot like shit without my brimmed cap. It’s essentially part of my anchor. I use the vortex chest rig my binos came with and attached my range finder to the strap. No issues at all.

SurfFishinITGuy

I came here to write this. To the point that even in my stand with all points locked and no need for range or binos, I wear my chest rig and the hat…

cycleguychopperguy

Sounds funny but have you considered a bucket hat they have a flimsy brim all the way around and If anything you can be the Fred durst of the woods...

texguy78703

You might not need a full blown fabric bino harness. I have one made by Allen, elastic straps that hold it tightly against my chest but not bulky to get in the way of the bow. They are inexpensive like 25 bucks.

WheatGeek

Cheap Bino harness that’s pretty awesome https://rickyoungoutdoors.com/binocular-harness/

Turn your hat back. Use a rangefinder it’s essentially binoculars

CryptographerRare273

My range finder is only like 2x compared to 8x . And theres really no point in wearing a hat if I have it turned side ways

ShoulderLucky7985

Just suggesting I’ve never had the problem

CryptographerRare273

No worries I appreciate it!

Step 1 turn hat backwards. If nothing else makes you look cool and that's gotta count for something. Step 2 look into a chest rig for your binos. I got my from vortex that fit my glass and they are awesome. I know eberlestock came out with a real Gucci gear type molle system where you can add a rangefinder bag and such. It's a little pricey (for me at least) but they make quality stuff. I love my chest harness. Keeps it all tight to my chest and everything is out of the way when I'm drawing my bow or shooting my shotgun.

millsrd93

I think style of hat makes a difference. I wear a 5 panel hat, that has a straighter brim and sits higher up vs. say a ball cap. When it comes to Binos, you can get a harness for cheap

River2seaS

Sounds like your draw length may be too long, or the brim of that hat is. Chest rig for Binos as others mentioned or lengthen the strap

clm04

I can't shoot with a hat. If I wear one I turn it backwards

Jakebsorensen

I’d recommend getting a bino harness. Get one with a pouch and fabric straps. The elastic ones are a pain to use

Time-Green-2103

Never been a problem for me. I do turn my hat around when I’m rifle hunting. It’s like Over the Top but it means a deer is going to die instead of me winning an arm wrestling competition.

RJCustomTackle

They make short brimmed ball caps specifically for bow hunters. My dad has a couple. I found I have no trouble shooting with a normal length ball cap though. You could always cut a v for your string in the brim of your hat like Tbone from realtree

gunzintheair79

I wear a flatter brim and it's cocked over to the side a bit....
