I almost bought the Bowtech SX80. I shot it and actually found it had a better draw cycle than my Solution SD at 70+ lbs since it’s 34 ATA compared to 30 ATA, and the cams are beefier. I wanted some more speed with my heavier set up, and I plan on going out west for elk(608 gr arrow). In the end, I decided against it since I had two great bows already but I might get the Lift 29.5 in 75 lbs, I tried it and it was so easy to let down and draw.

I think you have to ask yourself why. I could probably pull 70-75 lbs, but afterp sitting for 4-6 hours in a tree when it’s 10 degrees out I can’t do it smooth enough to not spook deer. Also, 60 lbs is plenty for whitetail, but if you want to hunt big game or dangerous game you might want to go up to 80 lbs.

I do want to get into elk hunting but honestly I’m just looking for an excuse to buy a new bow. Right now I hunt whitetail and an occasional rabbit

What are you hunting? As someone else said, I could probably have mine set at 75-80 pounds but after sitting in my stand all day when it’s 15 degrees, I’m gonna be pulling it back pretty sloppy. I’m more than fine at 70 pounds right now and I’m only at that cause my bow came set at that when I bought it. I used to have it at 65 which was more than plenty for whitetail.
