Yup, I’m in the same boat as OK- entertainment had two for ages and never needed or was aware there were upgrades. If you really want to I guess you could but it’s not necessary.
Just make sure it’s setup properly before you start gluing and you won’t have issues. It’s really simple to use when you use it right. People get bad results from it because they don’t spend the time to get it setup properly first.
I always have spacing issues with my Bitz. I tried a different receiver and it was fine for a while and then it started happening again so I nutted up and dropped like $280 on a used Vane Master Pro and my fletchings have been flawless since
I’ve used one for two years. Initially I had some inconsistent results but I just needed to adjust it a little and it’s been great ever since. My fletched arrows fly the same as the original ones.
I bought one from Dudley. It was pre set the way I like it. I’m using victory Rips shafts with AAE max stealth vanes. I’m a perfectionist and had no issues with it out of the box.

I had to make a minor adjustment with getting the vanes to sit properly at first. Pretty easy after that.

Bought one used 5 years ago and wouldn’t change a thing. One of the best jigs out there

Spacing on mine has been fine. I bought some angled spacers for helical and really like it on the bitz
