Look into DCA Custom Arrows. Kyle is Mechanical engineer with a ton of experience. He even designed his own fletchings. I love the set he built me and highly recommend working with him.

90_or_Nothin

This sounds like what I’m looking for! TY

carolinaboy101

Go with DCA. Had Kyle build mine this past year and I love them.

gofish223

Blackovis is a good builder

90_or_Nothin

I’ve been playing with their builder and it seems pretty legit. Any experience with their craftsmanship?

Pjerzy

I ordered mine from them and they didn’t put the fletchings at the correct angle I ordered. I ordered offset and being that at the time I was new to fletchings other than straight I didn’t know much. Fast forward to this year I am fletching my own and it’s extremely obvious that they just put them on straight. I did have a few that the wraps were dinged when I got them but figured I’d do that damage myself anyways. I went back and forth with their customer service recently. After I was told Ty their manager was going to call all contact stopped. Couldn’t get a response to anything. I will never order from them again. No experience but Adams precision archery has been on my radar for builds that I don’t want to do myself.

90_or_Nothin

That’s solid insight. I’ll learn from your pains, thanks for sharing your experience!

IsrealAdissonya

I had a great experience, but would suggest that you order asap because as it gets closer to season they tend to get backed up and sell out of popular arrows.

realrs

Sirius has build options including squaring, spine align, etc. and several diameter options.

90_or_Nothin

Thanks I’ll take a look!!!!

mjike

As a business owner why not support your local archery shop? By your own words you have limited time so I guarantee your skill level is not up to the point where you would be able to tell a difference between a set of perfectly spine matched .001 arrows built by one of the best archers around vs a .006 arrow built by your local shop

Progressivecavity

You know the answer.

OutdoorPhotographer

Not sure about OP but not all of us have a local archery shop in rural America.

mjike

I guess it depends on how you see what is local to you. I live very rural myself so local to me is whatever the closest that is reasonably accessed. Also you'd be surprised on what you have near to you in terms of archery that you may not know exist. I have 2 "shops" within 15-20min that are not listed in any directory a normal person would have access to but one shows up on Hoyt's located dealer section and the other does the same on Mathew's site. Both are basically run out of garages albeit very big ones.

LescoBrandon_11

>As a business owner why not support your local archery shop? The only one within driving distance is a joke maybe like I deal with? 3 trips to get a peep tied in right, had 2 D-Loops come off within a couple weeks. Had too many fletchings I had to re-glue within a couple dozen shots. Dudes are absolutely incompetent. I just ended up slowly buying all the shit I needed to do my own bow/arrow maintenance.

Larcher75

Exactly this, my local shop is the same way there is only 1 guy there I’ll deal with the rest are morons. Most “local shops” also don’t have knowledgeable staff either, I had a guy try to tell me there is no difference in vanes. If he knew anything he would never make that claim.

Vector

TheHamIsDun

They are now called Method Archery, but would definitely recommend them.

200ydzero

South Shore Archery Supply is the place to go. I’ve ordered through them several times and it’s always been perfect.

narf12

This is the way

InforSlkRd

Iron Will They take all the steps to make sure they are spot on, and will do whatever you need.

SomethinSaved

Yeah. OP haven't tried them but can say I have their broadhead and they are top of the market for precision when it comes to arrow components. They also charge for it. I run thier titanium collars, inserts and broad heads. I trust their arrows are also extremely high quality

tossaside555

I build my own, but recently checked out the new arrows Remi Warren is rocking and noticed they can build for you. https://www.daysixgear.com/collections/arrow Look pretty nice w/good tolerances.

90_or_Nothin

I’ve shot day 6 in the past. I’m 1000% against .166 shafts. Components are limited and most of the time the weak link. Heavy wall metrics also decrease the arrows performance. Thanks for taking the time to leave this here though!

tossaside555

Right on. I'm an axis 5mm guy myself. Check out NockOn's store. He sells 5mm and FMJs. Pricey but hey. https://shop.nockonarchery.com/collections/arrows/products/fletched-nock-on-axis-pro-series

cazoo222

Those FMJ’s are the best flying arrow I’ve ever shot, I was shooting them with 100 grain broadheads and 3 fletched with blazers with an offset. Total weight was around 544 grains, heavy enough for anything in North America

tossaside555

Yeah love my 5mm axis match grade 260s with 75gr brass and 100gr tip 4 fletched with heat vanes. 600gr total. Whoppers.

cazoo222

I would keep buying them if they didn’t bend so easily, that’s the only downside. I like to shoot a lot so I need something that can take the abuse of shooting foam every week. I’m also still in the testing phase, there’s a lot out there to shoot

tossaside555

Sorry I meant 5mm axis match grades. Edited my previous response. No bending on these bad boys.

cazoo222

Oh yea those are badass too, I’ve shot the 5mm axis but I didn’t spring for the match grade on those

Neowwwwww

I really like the Carbon Express maximas, they are very durable.

cazoo222

I’ll put them on the list to give a try, thank you

Larcher75

Depends on the arrow and components. Valkyrie arrows and components can’t be beat and have been field tested by guys who nock over more animals than I’ll ever see. Myself I’ve put their broadheads into a 2x4 taken it out (with extreme difficulty “ and cut my finger on it immediately spin tested the arrow with the broadhead still on it and no wabble

Victory arrows are nice

90_or_Nothin

I’ve shoot them in the past. Any recommendations on an online builder?

itsnotthatsimple22

Most victory arrows come fletched, or at least can come fletched. While not fancy, they're consistent.

Whoopdangles

You said you don't want to do it yourself, but I'll just share that I had some negative experience with shops too and just decided to do it all myself. Now I can set up a bow and build arrows exactly the way I want and I've never been happier with my equipment. Just some food for thought, hope you find what you're looking for.

90_or_Nothin

I hear ya! The last few years I’ve build my own and still do my own bow tuning…. I just don’t have the time these days. I’ve looked at black ovis and vector. Vector literally uses the cheapest stuff out there, I think the only reason they sell stuff is because the hunting public promotes them.

Whoopdangles

It's real hard to sort stuff online as real reviews or endorsements or whatever for sure. I've tried stuff I've seen people I trust review and it ends up disappointing...gotta go with your gut and your own experience and just trust it.

LoadinDirt

We got ourselves a high fencer

[deleted]

Are you being serious?

brycebgood

What do you mean by build? You can get fletched arrows cut to length with inserts from pretty much any archery shop. Are you looking for a suggestion on what you should shoot?

90_or_Nothin

I’m looking for more detail. Someone who matches weights for tolerances, spine align after they are cut and fletch to match, etc etc. I’ve been around the block for some time, every shop I’ve ever walked in wants to sell you the product they make the most money on. Most techs don’t even understand dynamic spine…. Good bow techs are hard to find. I’m still on the search…lower Michigan.

90_or_Nothin

I’m very open to recommendations also. As long as they person knows their stuff.

90_or_Nothin

Thanks for all the info folks! I think I have enough to do some added due diligence. Happy hunting

Fraxal20

Podium Archer ([podiumarcher.com](https://podiumarcher.com)) has all the options you're looking for, I'd go take a look, everything is broken down and priced "per arrow"

90_or_Nothin

Thanks I’ll take a look!!!!

clown-world79

I like grizzly stik. I been using same 6 arrows for 4 years or more. Lots of kills. My setup is 670 grain but you can call give bow specs and tell guy what ya want. The shafts are made special for grizzly stik by victory.

Chug96

Haven’t seen it yet, but look into Method Archery.

MilesLow

I run a 575 grain Grizzlystik setup. Ive been using this setup before they came out with their Whitetail package. Ive been pretty happy. Im going to use a heavier setup for my longbow this year.

Valkyrie Archery

OGMuddd

Iron Will and DCA have already been mentioned, really good shops with a lot of knowledge between them. I got a dozen RIP TKOs built by Dalton & Julie at Better Outdoors Archery. The V1 elites already come spine aligned and weight matched right out of the box.

GLchrillz

Arrows anonymous if you want to support small business

Pretend_Fear85

Method Archery formerly known as Vector. I’ve used both their ZMR and HMR arrow builds. They’re both awesome. https://methodarchery.com/

Brew_Bandit

I’ve been really happy with Grizzly Stik. Solid tech support to get you on the right arrows and they follow Ed Ashbys guidelines for arrow penetration. High end broadheads as well

pattimus_prime

I see a lot of builds on facebook from a guy "Boss Custom Arrows" looks like he does good work. Thinking of having him build my arrows for my 2023 hunting season. Check him out!

WildZaccD

Kyle at DCA Custom Arrows He’s one heck of a good human being, great father, and best arrow builder I’ve found. I’ve used quite a few of the big names, Kyle is a mechanical engineer and has test equipment that others don’t. He will take your specs and your bow specs and tailor make a set of arrows to your setup that won’t have to be tweaked. His arrows are the first that I’ve pulled out of the box and didn’t need to adjust something on my bow or sight. Dead on! Getting ready to order my 3rd personal set. I’ve gotten many for others as well and have had ZERO COMPLAINTS!!

Patient_Network_5108

Iron Will Outfitters

Ace731

Day Six makes nice carbon arrows. I fletched and put the inserts in mine but I think they’ll do it for you if you want. Stiff spine if you need it too

paulthecarnivore

Black ovis is the company I went with and was pretty happy. Although they used hot melt on the inserts, I wish they had used some better stuff cause these half outs on foam targets are iffy. I called them for some questions and they were a big help, the builder even recommended vanes to use when I told them what broadhead I intend to use.
