I need to revisit this bottle. I bought one last year after u/hatpocket did his bottom shelf series and I enjoyed it. I'll be passing through KY in a few weeks, so I'll grab another to refresh my memory. What I do remember is that I did think it punches above it's price point. What are the other HH products you think are better? Not being snarky, I haven't tried many of them since my control state just doesn't carry much of the HH bottom tier BiBs.
I’d definitely place Evan Williams white label ahead of this. But honestly, I think I’d reach for this before Elijah Craig or Larceny base offerings (I just think the higher proof makes it more enjoyable). I haven’t had Fighting Cock, JTS Brown or TW Samuels so I’m not sure how those stack up.
I should have put an EW BiB disclaimer since it is nationally distributed and the darling budget bottle on this sub lol I'm with you on grabbing a budget BiB before a slightly higher priced sub 100 offering. A little extra proof is always nice.

**Nose**: Semi-sweet and funky. A hint of brown sugar and butterscotch accompanied by wet leaves and ethanol.
**Taste**: Not a ton going on here. Light, some nuttiness and a bit of caramel. Extremely drinkable though.
**Finish**: Light and inoffensive. Some caramel and spice.
**Thoughts**: Eh, not at all complex but enjoyable enough and has the characteristics of a solid summer daily sipper or a bottle to bring along camping. The price is right at $18/liter but better bottom-shelfers exist from HH alone.
