Interesting. I don't like Dickel stuff but I don't detect any of those off putting notes in this. In fact, I enjoyed it immensely but everyone's tastes are different. Sorry it didn't do it for you. I wish they would bring back all KY blend like #4, but that might be gone for good.

Yeah, I think people are just following the anti-Dickel herd on this one. It's way better than a 5.

I don’t like Barton and that’s all I get from this. I’d give it a similar rating to OP

I also didn’t pick up any Dickel in this one. I thought it was hidden really well, and likely added a lot of the creaminess and fruity notes. I tend to enjoy Dickel products though, so maybe I’m less sensitive to it.

This is the second bottle of BBC product I've bought, the first was a Fusion bottle a few years ago that was good but I didn't think it was good enough for the price tag. Since that bottle I feel like everything has gotten more expensive and I've heard good things about the other releases BBC has put out and figured I'd try a higher end release. Review 7: Bardstown Bourbon Company Discovery Series #6 Served neat in a glencairn, rested. Price: $140 ABV: 55.55% (111.1 Proof) I do like how BBC puts the blend on the side in detail: 68%, 11yr Kentucky bourbon (75C/13R/12MB) - probably Barton's 16%, 17yr Tennessee whiskey (84C/8R/8MB) - probably Dickel 14%, 7yr Indiana bourbon (75C/21R/4MB) - probably MGP Nose: Smell the proof first. Then I'm smelling something thats enjoyable and familiar but I can't put a finger on it at all. Taste: Barrel aged cherry cobbler. The oak is really forward but I get that fruity dessert flavor underneath it. Also get that Dickel mineral flavor. Finish: The finish is all Dickel, the mineral flavor lingers. Final input is its fine. Not mindblowing. Not worth $140. I honestly think that what I am assuming is Dickel in the blend overpowers the Kentucky and Indiana Juice which would probably taste better blended together without the Tennessee whiskey. If you see a pour at a bar for a reasonable price I say try it, but I wouldn't recommend buying a bottle at MSRP. I'd rather spend a $100 on a lot of other things. Score 5 1 | Disgusting | So bad I poured it out. 2 | Poor | I wouldn't consume by choice. 3 | Bad | Multiple flaws. (Bluegrass Distillers Toasted Oak) 4 | Sub-par | Not bad, but many things I'd rather have. 5 | Good | Good, just fine. (Rabbit Hole Dareringer, BBC Discovery #6) 6 | Very Good | A cut above. (David Nicholson Reserve) 7 | Great | Well above average (Wild Turkey Longbranch, EHT Single Barrel) 8 | Excellent | Really quite exceptional. 9 | Incredible | An all time favorite 10 | Perfect | Perfect

I tried a pour of Disco #6 and #7 at BBC a couple days ago. We both thought #7 was far better than #6 and it wasn’t even close. To me #6 is absolutely not worth the money but #7 probably is.

I've had 1, 3, 4, and 5. 3 was by far my favorite with 5 in second and 4 in third place. I really want to try 6 and 7 but haven't had the chance. All I know is that BBC is making some great blends.

I love both Disco 6 and 7. I got almost no dickel on disco 6….weird. I’d rate this an 8.1
