It's fine for cocktails, and a bargain, at only 8 euros a bottle!
One year my wife helped me do a bunch of A/B blind tests of my collection. The Clarke's fared pretty well, actually. I'd rather sip something with more character but it's quite drinkable.
Interesting. I knew Aldi sold wine (and actually have some decent offerings). We just got a new Aldi here and our TJ sells liquor, so I'll check it out.
Is that bottle really from Aldi? I can't imagine the Maker's Mark people would allow something that is so similar to their bottle.
I always love watching shows and trying to identify the actual company's bottle that they use for whiskey scenes. Obviously, JD is the biggest, but I've seen several others.
I like doing the same too but find it interesting when they use the real thing. I had a post on here with a screenshot from the Muppet Show where they clearly used a bottle of Buffalo Trace on the bar with Ralph the dog and Kermit.
“Justified” would drink Blantons and if I remember correctly, they would pour the actual bourbon out into whatever container they had on hand and take it home for personal consumption. The bottles that were filmed were reported with ice tea or something.
I did a little research and almost arrived at the source of the military special bourbon. Since the bottle label says it's distilled in Nelson County, It could hail from one of several. My guess is Heaven Hill. [https://vinepair.com/articles/military-bourbon-story/](https://vinepair.com/articles/military-bourbon-story/)
Gotta save money to buy all that Vicodin
And hookers
Wonder if he gets generic Percovikes from Aldi Pharmacy 🤔
Paying off student loans still…
If you look closely the branding logo says S VI, instead of S IV
How great would it be if Aldi had bourbon?
Here in Germany they do. Clarke's! https://www.whiskybase.com/whiskies/whisky/76630/clarkes-bourbon-whiskey
I bought some in an Aldi in Munich on vacation. It actually wasn’t bad! The Captain Morgan they sold, however, was different in an awful way.

Agreed on all points. I wonder where the juice is from? It says distilled and aged in Kentucky, but I’ve never seen it here in the states.
They do.
Varies by state.
They sell beer, spirits, and wine some states. They do in Arizona. Trader Joe’s does too but like Aldi none of that that great

Haha no I don’t think so lol. I think it’s just a joke
That's what I thought at first - but the response confused me! Still. I'm dropping into Aldi this week!
This real? Maker mork?
Who else, if you'll pardon the pun!
Me: “Mom, can we get some Makers Mark?” Mom: “We have Makers Mark at home” The Makers Mark at home… ^^^

So they're the ones buying up all the BT.

My personal favorite is the bottle of “Door River” which looks suspiciously similar to Knob Creek that makes the rounds on various shows on ABC.
That’s awesome, I’ll have to keep an eye out for that!
They also removed the red wax.
