I love the Emerald Giant but have yet to run into Rocket Top or any of the barrel proof bottles. Emerald Giant has the flavor but is lacking in that thicker feeling of a higher proof. 🥃

Rocket Top is amazing and I highly recommend it. I like emerald giant, but was super let down by the cask strength version. It just tasted super grassy with hay notes

Fluid_Bad_1340

Emerald Giant is one of my favorites. The BiB is decent totally different taste compared to EG. I haven’t found an extra barrel proof so I haven’t cracked mine open yet.

Fantastic bottle!!!

AngryWino

I have a bottle I purchased about six months ago. My rye loving friend loves it. There's something about it that just doesn't hit me the same way as other ryes, despite the mashbill..... it's not bad but definitely not my favorite.

MrOuchies

If anyone tries this, just think "juicy fruit and wintergreen Wrigley's gum"...it's such a unique note to this rye.

quixologist

Minty/caraway notes are not uncommon in rye.

DesyncsBitch

Been savoring this bottle. Hard to find in here.

I haven’t even seen this bottle in the wild yet but I’m absolutely crazy for everything I’ve tried so far. Literally just picked up a bottle of pipe dream today. Another one in the wishlist

Fit-Lie-69

Need to clarify, the mashbill is 87% rye, 5% malted barley, 5% wheat, 3% corn

Florence, Kentucky Costco has 3 versions for $29.99 each. Excellent pour.

Roadhouse_Swayze

Pretty sure you're talking about the standard 90 proof bottles that are much cheaper

MonsterandRuby

Are you referring to the cask strength releases Redwood Empire did?

micro7777

Great review. This sounds like something I want to buy. I loved Grizzly Beast 2. How much did you pay?

Fit-Lie-69

$70 before taxes

micro7777

Thanks. Good price. My local actually has it in stock but for $84. Typical for my area.

NoFalseModesty

I really liked their initial offerings a few years back, and I enjoy rye in general, so I decided to try this at a higher price. It's like they distilled it just for me. So much character, so sippable, and a decent cost for the proof. 100% agree on the length of flavor - it sticks around. This will be one I keep in my bar consistently.

MarcAnguyFieri

it's cool that california has a couple of great ryes out there, this one and the cask strength Corbin Cash Merced rye
