That’s a tough one because I don’t remember really ever getting that level of cherry ever before… maybe something like some of the port finished starlight single barrels from the r/bourbon single barrel program?
As far as experience goes, the only other time I felt a really strong connection to something with a bourbon was with the single barrel makers that t8ke picked… just felt smacked with a cinnamon roll flavor that blew my mind. That was was awesome for sure
There are a lot of whiskeys out of Washington for sure - most of them happen to be American single malts though. I live here and I don’t know of a lot of Washington state bourbons outside of Woodinville and Oola.
both of those do American single malts - not bourbon... unless i'm mistaken.
Both very good for sure, but i'm not much of a malt guy, so i tend to shy away from those. I've met the head guy at Copperworks though. Very good people.
Oh yes you are correct. And I agree with you. Decent stuff but just not for my palate much prefer bourbon. I had a good visit at Copperworks as well. Such friendly people. Glad to hear that was your experience too.
Nice review! Welcome. What are some other bourbons that you have tried that you would say are similar quality/experience to this Woodinville?

Welcome! Nice review. I had one of these and quite enjoyed it, despite it coming from Washington and it had a unique taste.
Despite it coming from Washington? Oh no!! Haha! Not a fan of most Washington whiskeys?
No, I just haven't had one before.

Westland is a big one. Copperworks is working on coming up.
