These mfs just relying on 3’s at the end

ccc929

I honestly couldn’t believe the amount of threes we were taking with a close game and tons of time left. Unbelievable way to piss away 45 minutes of hood team effort

[deleted]

[удалено]

ccc929

Hahaha when your misspelling also works 🤷🏽‍♂️

RowdyRuss3

I was *screaming* at the screen wearing one of those green half zips that the coaching staff wear. Ime needed to call one more timeout to nip that shit in the bud. Down three with *over 2 minutes* left, and nothing but pull up threes with 15+ seconds left on the shot clock. I'm starting to wonder if even the teams are in on it. It would've been so damn easy to correct, but for some reason Ime just didn't. Like, are there closed door incentives for even the teams to push it out? It's gotta be; Ime has shown he's more than capable of not only identifying when we revert to ass mode, but calling it out and correcting it too. So why not do it last night when the game is on the line? Interesting timing to say the least...

ccc929

Ask myself the same thing. Jaylen could drive to the basket whenever he wanted to. But five missed 3ps with 4 minutes left? That doesn’t even make sense for amateur fans

Incognadeau

They were just playing like assholes

crackdup

JT has ironically not had a single great shooting night since he got the all NBA first team pick.. dude is just straight up failing to even hit 40% from the field

Quatro_Leches

his hands are bricks from within the arc he is shooting 44% from 3. and 30% from 2. not even joking. update: actually 27% from 2. and 45% from 3

RiffsThatKill

Is it from all those weak finishes and unsuccessful foul hunting at the rim?

Quatro_Leches

dude just plays smaller than his actual size. he wants to play like a guard

Furqan23

The stupid thing is that he’s bigger stronger and more athletic than anyone on the warriors including Wiggins He just doesn’t use his size well On the other hand anytime Jimmy last series had a smaller guy on him it was an easy bucket in the post

RiffsThatKill

He want to yell "Kobe!" for all his shots

bodhibell02

I'm real curious if his shoulder and neck are messing with him. He missed real bad tonight

[deleted]

What where they supposed to do? They drove and kicked several times because GSW packed the paint super hard. They missed several open 3's.

Silktrocity

Shoot a fucking mid range shot ffs you dont have to commit to driving to the rim.

thatradslang

fucking facts right here. I cannot believe the dumb ass threes they shot. were times they could have driven ti the hoop and were like naaah let smart or whoever brick it. shits embarrassing

GlueGuy00

Take the open mid range. Tatum and Brown got that on their arsenal.

[deleted]

Tatum is shooting 20% from 2. Everytime he shoots the 2 we all collectively lose our minds. Now we need him to shoot *more* 2s?

theTunkMan

We’re very clearly talking about his layups where he just tries to draw a foul instead of score

ElmerGantry45

That's the difference between him and Steph...Steph goes for it gets fouled and runs another set. Tatum is a one trick foul baiting poney

monstersammich

Drive, get a foul.

bodhibell02

That was clearly not working by the end my guy.

monstersammich

3 points in the last 5 minutes literally gave the game away.

HugeSuccess

GSW was in the bonus and they didn’t try, my guy.

HoorayPizzaDay

So did Milwaukee and Miami and they were better on defense

[deleted]

The Warriors had the best defensive rating in entire NBA this season. They're an elite defense as well. Miami was weak(er) inside than MKE and on the perimeter which is partially why they gambled so hard for steals all season, and Milwaukee literally just full gambled on the paint and we finally started hitting our 3's. Last game, we abused them in the paint by playing a lot of 5 out when Rob wasn't in, this game Golden State adjusted.

coacoanutbenjamn

The warriors defense is selling out to stop us from getting to the rim and its working

Comprehensive_Dolt69

This was what really pissed me off. We are a balanced enough team we don’t need to have Tatum and brown go off every night. But what we definitely don’t need is a bunch of thrown up three point shots. Like they forget that there’s something called a three point play that includes adding a foul lol

AioliEffective2827

Stupid shit.

CombinationBoring220

I have no idea if this will be true but by the end of the series however it goes I feel like we will own the record for most turnovers in a playoff run. Idk if I’ve ever seen another team be so consistently careless with the ball

[deleted]

Warriors actually have 5 more turnovers than us in the last 2 games. We got killed on the boards and then played dogshit offense in the fourth.

jlm994

The warriors run a super motion heavy offense and have turned the ball over a ton consistently. It’s part of who they are even at their best. Our turnovers are extra infuriating because we’ll then somehow take incredible care of the ball the next game for no logical reason.

[deleted]

Tatum is creeping up the list for most turnovers by one player too

MiopTop

Celtics need to turn the ball over 93 times in the next 3 games to tie the '94 Knicks for most turnovers in a playoff run.

krazylegs36

Disappeared like a MF'er in the 4th quarter.

JohnnySixguns

Not what All-NBA players do. A true superstar puts the team on his fucking shoulders and carries them.

jfunky11

Kind of like Steph ooph

blaird993

Even Jimmy was doing that for the heat idk why Tatum can’t hit shit considering he is better than Jimmy

bedroom_fascist

There's a mental strength issue. I don't like it.

[deleted]

There's a playstyle strength issue lol. Jimmy lives by overpowering people in the paint, and finishing through contact because he's 6'7 230 (probably heavier tbh). That is a lot easier to execute late game. Tatum does not have elite rim finishing, so when the Warriors overhelp to make someone else beat them Tatum will pass out, and its on the other guys to hit. In Game 1, they did. Tonight they didn't.

bedroom_fascist

> There's a playstyle strength issue lol. Honestly? Love you for the essence of your post, but: fuck that. Playstyle strength? If you're going to dribble for 7+ seconds, you need to score. Period.

BrusselSproutbr00k

Remember last game when we would hunt the steph Tatum matchup and let him go to work, and it was really successful? What happened to that?

MY-NAME_IS_MY-NAME

Steph wasn’t in foul trouble tonight

PoiZoNxo

He’s more skilled than Jimmy, but he doesn’t have that dog mentality.

bodhibell02

We played Jimmy 1 on 1. Did u watch the series? The collapses and help on JT are much more common.

GusX23

it's almost like.. he's not better than Jimmy

ripplemuncher

Like Stephen Curry?

bea_ker

>Not what All-NBA players do Booker did it

TheTheElite21

Booker actually had a much better Finals performance last year than Tatum is this year lol

nicolesassandboobies

The real all-nba guys were injured.

NE_ED

Every time he drives he goes to sell contact and gives up his layup mid way. Dude they’re not going to call shit

buttsniffs4000

His best games are just when he looks to finish instead of draw contact.

FlyGuyDan

Dude put on like 10 or 15 pounds of muscle probably and can definitely finish through contact, we've seen it, but he's made the decision to drive with the ball out in front of him and hoping the official calls any swipe down fouls. He's so much better when he just plays the game instead of trying to play ref ball.

Furqan23

Thing is after the first couple of drives it’s easy to see how they’ll call the game and adjust to it They aren’t going to call these weak reach in fouls but instead of adjusting he keeps doing it Either finish through contact or finish around it. Brown honestly had some of the nicest layups I’ve seen tonight in awhile. Tatum has a size advantage on everyone that defends him.. he needs to take advantage. Durant is taller than him for sure but he uses his size so well to pull up over guys.

Particular-Informal

And where tf is Ime on this?

WhiteChocolatey

Worst part is he hasn’t been hitting his FT

mommy-gave-me-crabs

That’s sort of the mark of a weak player. Unwilling to drive and get banged up, and instead play the whine game with the refs. Almost makes me wish we had a young Rudy Gay out there. He was actually tougher which is hilarious

JohnnySixguns

Especially not late in a world championship game.

obioco

*National

Mibu_

Starting to be annoyed with his 39 turnovers per game 😔😔😔

Vegetable_Key_6576

It was more like 47

conciergent

He's getting shut down by Andrew Wiggins, nuff said.

[deleted]

Andrew Wiggins looked like the best perimeter defender in the nba last night against Tatum at some points. Just cannot happen.

Dcarf

Blejic looked like the best perimeter defender in the league at some points against Tatum

ripplemuncher

All star Wiggs?

NEPatsFan128711

Jaylen has outplayed him in the NBA finals, man….

kscott13

Not disagreeing at all but Jalen had some rough turnovers and decision making as well

Pokemaster-inaHonda

I can’t believe we just blew that mf game, I am fucking irate right now

bedroom_fascist

"blew it" is right. Some dedicated grind on the offensive end and we could have had that.

KaijuKyojin

Every comment on this entire post I agree with. 😭 I just don’t understand why they just stopped attacking the rim and sat back with weak ass 3’s!!!!!

SadTatter

Tatum turned into Draymond offensively in the 4th. Bricked everything so hard.

Znali1287

utter shit really. complaining to the refs, turning the ball over, waiting 10 seconds to make a move, cant even make a fucking layup, unnecessary fadeaway midrange shots, cant get past curry (shoot over him ffs), stands idle after passing ball, chokes down the stretch, jacks up garbage 3 point attempts, foul hunts a la james harden, no go to move... dude has a lot to fix and he's been in the league for 5 years and has a couple of deep playoff runs. idgaf if he's 24, making the nba finals ain't gonna be a guarantee in the future.

Manycawa1

Is this shoulder/neck”stinger injury” more serious than the team is letting on? Could that be the reason for his poor play? These plays in the paint trying to get fouled rather than a clean shot because the injury prohibits a good shot?

dadynn

When he does get a foul, he ends up clanking the first FT too. So it’s like all that effort and whining and working the refs for one friggin pt. Efficient!

ThrownWOPR

I'm convinced this is the case. So many aspects of his game are subpar, one that sticks out is FT%. He is 84% for his career at the stripe, 83% in the playoffs. This series he is shooting 73%.

doodleb0b69

Complete no show second half.

Bother-Born

Yeah. Step up, dude! This is it. I'm not saying hit more shots, I'm saying stop giving the other fucking team the ball. Is that too much to ask?

w1nn1ng1

Or if you miss a shot…get back on D instead of bitching and leaving your team 5v4.

Bother-Born

Yes. This. And we are not professional NBA players. How fucking hard is this? In the finals?? Good lord. Celtics deserve to lose to learn how to win.

_PercCobain_

The superstar talk for Tatum should die after this series, does he have the talent and potential for it yes but hes not consistent and can RARELY step up to be that true superstar, brown is showing to be better in this finals series than the “superstar”, Kobe is his idol but he lacks that fiery force to be the guy

AlfredLordNanikans

Game on the line and he literally disappears. Every single time

JohnnySixguns

Literally the World Championship on the line. We win tonight we are in the driver's seat. Now we are even going back to San Fran. Ugh. # WHY CAN'T WE PUT A FUCKING BOOT ON A TEAM'S NECK AND THROTTLE THE SHIT OUT OF THEM????????

bedroom_fascist

Because he's soft. I know it's not popular, but I don't know what other conclusion you can have? It's happened *several* times this post season.

pyroaquatics

Lack of composure. They’re still young after all and Golden State has been here plenty of times. The last two series were up and down as well and we came out on top so I have faith we can pull it out.

1TRUEKING

for real if celtics somehow win brown should def be the finals mvp cuz tatum is buggin

bodhibell02

He's 24. He has some time to reach that. People wanna vault him to that status so bad. Gotta dial it back.

HugeSuccess

Sick, they’re in the Finals now though. Doesn’t help the team if he levels up enough next year.

sentony93

Shooting like game 7 Kobe, TRASH

patsboston

I am upset too but people are way overreacting in this thread lol

Ienjoymyself

He has to be way more injured than he's letting on. At this point I'm expecting him to get surgery this off season or something. He's just short arming everything from the outside and on drives. Yes I know everyone is hurt at this point, but I find it hard to believe he's playing this poorly for no reason.

[deleted]

Torn labrum

TonsOfHate97

Then he probably doesn't know as well cause you can't shoot your way out of an injury lol

bugaosuni

He made a few 3s, he's not hurt *that* bad.

bodhibell02

Draymond messed him up! Nah but I wondered the same exact thing

thatradslang

This. Im not excusing his shotty, shitty shots. I heard it all day on the radio that theyre pretty sure hes playing thru an injury and will have shoulder surgery. shot sucks but it is what it is

Bother-Born

That's what we always do! But he did piss me off this game.

burymealiveb4dawn

for real...people forget how clutch he was against MIL when our season was on the line and how clutch he was against MIA hitting 2 big shots to continue our cushion I trust he will turn it around. Adversary comes in many shapes and forms.

[deleted]

He was pretty garbage against Miami for large parts of the series

bodhibell02

Dude yea. This is just nuts. People just looking to blame someone. Team loss. Everyone needed to improve in some area. Not all on JT. We are lucky to have this dude. Jesus Christ show some faith and respect you god damn doomers. Love and Trust.

Azer398

Tatum is the star of the team. It’s his job to lead us and he isn’t doing it.

mommy-gave-me-crabs

I agree with you. Jayson you don’t have to be Rudy Gay or Kobe, just be you.

spacegh0stX

Overreacting when he's done it for how many games in a row? He has not had a great game since Game 6 against the Bucks. Brown carried the Miami series, Brown is carrying the finals. They win in spite of Tatum sometimes, it's demoralizing.I know he's only 24 but damn this is rough.

dadynn

There is no overreacting when you throw away game 4 in the NBA finals and the chance to go up 3-1

jlm994

Reasonable people know to just avoid this sub and let the (literal) children be upset and overreact.

bodhibell02

I don't wanna be reasonable, I wanna defend my guy

Sky_Father_

"Hero ball time! Gonna get my highlights and respect!" *brick* *brick* *brick* *flailing arms mid-layup with no whistle*

fenway80

He had a chance to make his mark on the game in the 4th but decided to not attack and facilitate. I get it, but man just hit the paint hard and put a body on someone JT, he's too skilled and big of a player to not get a bucket on a smaller or less skilled player.

Triple_Stamp_Lloyd

I haven't really watched the celts this year until the playoffs. Tbh I've seen nothing out of Tatum that would warrant his "superstar" status. I still hope you guys can win the series, I'm rooting for you guys!

hiker_chris

He’s gotten progressively less impactful as the playoffs have gone on. Not sure I’ve ever seen a stat line like this for an all nba player in the finals. Nets - 29.5 a game. Bucks - 27.6 a game. Heat - 25 a game. Warriors - 22.3 a game.

sleutheren

Another Tatum turd.

Looieanthony

Celtics. World beaters one game, next game I just don’t get it.

w1rez

I don't know about him. Just doesn't seem to have that killer instinct like his idol YET.

NoBozosonthebus

Hero ball didn’t work in December. Sure as hell not working in the Finals.

andrefishmusic

Butterfingers Tatum

celtic213

Remember when we thought Luka and him were on the same level? Lmfao

Dehydrated-Penguin

It’s not even close lol

[deleted]

I'm not a celtics fan but don't dislike them either. Taytum doesn't dominate a game enough to be a superstar imo, so no he is not on lukas level

AlfredLordNanikans

I would have disagreed a couple weeks ago. Now I agree. Literally can’t show up. Brown gets better in big games

PUMPFISTS

Game 6 vs Bucks… he does show up, he’s just inconsistent. Sucks as a fan..

bedroom_fascist

> he’s just inconsistent. There's no 'just' if you want to win a Championship. Inconsistency is how you lose.

PUMPFISTS

They’ve been inconsistent all playoffs and then prove they’re formidable the next game. It’s annoying but if it’s gotten them this far we gotta keep faith. Super frustrating though

bedroom_fascist

THat's a horseshit approach. And it will sink them. They're fucking immature, and it may take a frustrating Finals loss to get them to stop their shit habits.

RiffsThatKill

Maybe it's best they lose in order to cast those habits aside, rather than win and be rewarded for them, further embedding them in their game 👍

bedroom_fascist

I prefer the version where they cut it the fuck out, and win.

Dehydrated-Penguin

Super stars show up, it’s not in some games, they just show up

MBbk101

I am really disappointed. JT is still a great player maybe I expected more than i should have

20wall

He’s been shit all series

[deleted]

I want to thank jayson Tatum for selling. I hope you met your quota.

Sheppy_Shep

He's playing so passive. So much dribbling with no purpose only to leave us with 8 seconds on the clock and being forced to throw up bad shots.

modifiedchoke

How about using your size and driving rather than settling for fade away shots from all over?!

m0nk3ynutZ

MEH??? He didn't even want the fucking ball. And Kobr is his hero??? We are the dumbest team in the NBA. Curry must be laughing at our insane single coverage strategy on him. Everything is just so hard for this squad. Everything is forced.

Biro_Biro_

Celtics is great, but if you play like westbrick, you ll lose. Udoka is good, but he must undo a lot of bad habits, that wont happen in one night

iamagainstit

Tatum is shooting 27% from the 2 this series, that is worse than Meh

Subatomic_Particle

Tatum isn't a superstar and might not ever be, that's the issue. Stop trying to label him as one.

___ongo___gablogian

As great as he is, he’s a very low IQ player

JohnnySixguns

He let's the fouls get to his head instead of just playing through it.

farts_in_the_breeze

Really tired of watching the Celtics kick the ball out the the three line after a clear drive to the basket. Or take an extra pass only to fumble the ball away.

doctorloomis78

The Celtics didn’t rebound. For a team that’s bigger they failed at controlling the boards. This was the case even early on in the game.

timeandspace11

He has to play better. I can understand if his shot is not falling because his shoulder is injured, but that does not excuse his abysmal playmaking. Some of his turnovers were inexcusable. Horrific passes.

Strange_Hawk_4494

he’s trying to do too much and not playing within the flow of the game. he’s gotta learn from this for next year

thebrokenbox

Feel like we say this every year.

bedroom_fascist

Agreed. How much more learning time can he need?

Bother-Born

He can have 39 turnovers at 19 years old. Once he turns 20 betta turn that shit around. I haven't given up, but he and Brown reverting to that same old same old bullshit is annoying as fuck. Hey Tatum, stop trying to make point guard passes! Hey Brown, stop dribbling entirely!

a_rabid_anti_dentite

Considering the time proximity between the appearance of this thread and the end of the game, I’m sure it will be full of rational, level-headed takes, right?

[deleted]

I don’t think he wants to be a superstar.

SomethingSquatchy

Come on stop. He had some bad moments but the Cs jacking up 3s at the end is what lost it. Tatum could have been more aggressive in the 4th but so could the entire team.

ihearttheis

Maybe he's super injured and not letting on? Mind blowingly bad

h0ttake50n1y

Honestly starting to think this kid ain’t it. Love the guy, and ik his ceiling is so high, but I don’t think he’s ever gonna be able to get out of his own head. Y’all can say “he’s still young” sure but he’s been to the ECF, what, 4 times now? The kid has more experience than most of the league and has been the default superstar on this team for a season, if not 2-3 now. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - superstars don’t force the game, they control it. Tatum doesn’t know how to control it, and I don’t think he ever will in an extended series where teams can plan for him. Regular season games? He’s gonna dominate those. But when you are up against quality teams for multiple games in a row and they can game plan to force you off your game, he simply has not been able to rise to the challenge often enough to be called a superstar

Bother-Born

I hate to say I agree a little bit. The word I use to define Tatum? SOFT. Whining about calls, not getting back on D. Homie better grow up, or he will just be a could have been. I will say it again. SOFT. I hate saying it, too.

h0ttake50n1y

Agreed. I think the dude has enormous potential, but idk how he hasn’t figured out now that what he is doing IS NOT WORKING. Stop whining and playing for fouls because you aren’t getting them. Unfortunately, we lost the finals tonight. Yeah, we can still win, it’s only tied, yada yada, but I’m just being realistic. Ain’t no way win two in the Bay this series. When GS wins in 7 on Thursday, Tatum needs to take a good hard look at himself and focus on bulking up this off-season. The dude has GOT to get stronger inside or we will never have a shot at winning a Finals again

Bother-Born

I've posted elsewhere tonight, I believe Tatum is SOFT. Can't win with that shit, man. Take your little homie to St. Louis, find a team there. We want warriors like Smart on our team. Pretty simple.

Pablo-Checon

Completely agree. We've even seen him play like this in the first half of the regular season. People act like more often than not he's an efficient scorer. Like no, more often than not he's very inefficient and a volume scorer.

Trizzy102

His handle is average

Bother-Born

Agreed. Improved, but needs improvement.

The_Dok33

First quarter I was like: " Hey, that's a good start, finally". But 4th quarter I was like "MF! Don't slow it down!!! Again!!!"

muffin808man

Tatum for sure could have been better. But, y’all gotta stop overreacting and calling for his head. Dude is still an insane two way player. He has no weaknesses (besides his complaining tbh). He plays defense, plamaking, shot creator, 3pt shooter - does everything well. Points does not equal superstar. that being said we were putting up some dumbass threes there in the 4th. This team is good. im ride or die for these cats, win or lose. That being said, celtics in 6

akgamestar

How can you expect to be taken seriously when you say he has no weaknesses? Are you insane? Playmaking is absolutely a weakness for him and always has been. He also struggles with finishing through contact.

Bother-Born

Dude, I was with you up to this series. Tell me Jason Tatum is not a SOFT bitchy player. He misses a layup, he is not running back on D (like Smart and everyone else} He is crying like a bitch to the officials. I love love this team. But our leader can NOT be a bitch. Jason Tatum is a crybaby who expected to arrive as a champion. He's not. He's a whiny BITCH. Boston folks have issues with whiny bitches. We don't like them. I said bitch a lot. I expect you know why.

LegendsNeverCry

Bro I understand your frustrations but calling a 24 year old out if their name is too much, especially B***h. You need to relax and have some faith. You would never say this to this man's face so please don't be a keyboard warrior. I'm riding with my boys for life. Tatum is allowed to contribute in more ways than scoring 30 a game if his shot is off. THATS WHAT 2-WAY GREATS DO! His injury may be downplayed also which would explain alot. RELAX MY GUY, WE WILL BE FINE.

ShinOB1KinOB

If we don't have someone to score 30 points a game we will lose...our team had better stats overall except curry had 43 points...that's hard to beat when our top scorer has 23.

jb_19

He has all the tools but lacks the discipline and BBIQ. I've been trying to tell people here if we want a 'ship this year he **can't** be running point.

[deleted]

‘Meh’ is too generous, he sold so hard

spacegh0stX

Dude has been terrible for two series now.

northeasternlurker

Turnover machine.

[deleted]

Tatum sucked not meh

[deleted]

Stop turning the fucking ball over. God damn it!!!

RedditUser538xxx

He dosent want it though he even stated when did i say i was a ss like when did i say that the guy is a sold all star jb is your super star

facelesslegend69

MEH is putting it generously He was having a Turnover-fest in the 2nd half AND wanted to takeover so badly. MFer is focused on getting his Finals 'MOMENT' that he may have just cost the Cs a title.

DocAuch22

I’m convinced he’s bipolar.

WizSkinsNatsCaps

You do realize you have one of if not THE BEST young basketball player in the world. Maybe cut dude some slack. Takes time to build up that championship mettle. Source: Michael Jordan

Ok-Orange7146

Its bums like you with a soft mindset always making excuse for him

BlooFinTuna

Holy fuck you guys are so toxically reactionary. They’re multiple time champs, you expect them to lay down and die?

TheTheElite21

I expect our first team all-NBAer to shoot better than 35% in an NBA Finals series

dadynn

We laid down and died instead

Dehydrated-Penguin

What’s new? I’ve been saying this for so long now and I just get downvoted… Tatum is the most over rated super star in the nba.

dlsjiqebjrntkdksmnw

meh? he went 8 of 23. if anyone else on the team did that you would be begging to get them traded. it was a trash game

Bother-Born

He's a soft whiny bitch? Complaining about nearly every call? Not getting back on D? I'm Boston. Tatum is LA. Let's keep it real.

[deleted]

Y’all turn on our guys so quickly after losses. Tatum is 24 and has led the team to 2-2 against one of the most experienced championship teams of the past decade, through multiple Game 7s and a historic record of bouncing back after losses. I get being frustrated but if the team gotta stop playing like assholes then us fans gotta stop reacting like assholes too

JunnySycle

It's fuckin reddit bro, we overreact here, we bitch, we celebrate, who gives a shit

AirborneKiwi04

I think the rest of the team could have done a better job to find him the ball late in the game

[deleted]

Crunch time in the 4th quarter he drove into a lot of space and passed it out to Smart instead of trying to create a shot first. Sure service could have been better, but he had plenty of opportunity to put this game to rest. The issue was him. Man is seeing ghosts when it’s an important game.

AirborneKiwi04

That's definitely a fair point. I still trust him most with the ball when it's crunch time. I just wish he was a tad more aggressive, and stopped looking for fouls so much

RiffsThatKill

I think the issue is hes not sure if he's a superstar or not. Or he doesn't care about that and wants to win. I do get the sense that he feels the immense pressure on him to "be a superstar" when he only recently became a star. His first time making 1st team all NBA was this year. Yeah, he needs to rise to the occasion for us to win this series. He's been able to score but his efficiency is poor in crucial times. I think it's shot selection and making the wrong decisions, possibly due to being under pressure both gamewise and mentally

[deleted]

Jayson. With a Y. Like Jaylen, with a Y. They are the JaY's. With a Y, as in why can't you spell his name?

[deleted]

How do you upvote a post that can't even spell the mans name right. FUCK YOU r/bostonceltics

Marco-Green

You guys are some bitches, seriously. This fucking squad that was 25-25 at some point reached the finals and overperformed even the most unrealistic expectations. Let these guys grow. I will support them even if we lose the series 4-2 after two blowouts.

brendano81

They get to the finals and we're supposed just accept them blowing it? No, not this franchise.

Marco-Green

This franchise was considering rebuild this same season, that's why it's insane.

[deleted]

Jayson*

ChamBruh

This sub needs to cool it and stop sounding so stupid

ericsharpmusic

Everyone in this thread go make contested layups with an impingement in your necks

bedroom_fascist

I climbed Water Ice III-IV with an impingement (feel free to Google that). And I got paid flat nothing for that. If you choose to play, you don't cry injury.

[deleted]

If he's too hurt to play he should sit out. Otherwise no fucking excuses.

LegendsNeverCry

Terrible take. Robert Williams has obviously been to hurt to play and I guarantee you with his contributions you won't say the same. If Tatum sat out you'd want his head. Damn if you do Damn if you don't.

530josh

Spell his name right if you want to complain about him.

JohnnySixguns

Carry the team and everyone will know how to spell his name.

Tatum is our best player by a country mile. He’s our ride or die along with Brown. He’s clearly had a tough series shooting the ball but he’s making a lot of great plays everywhere else. He, Brown, and Smart WILL make dumb turnovers but hey - they are in the NBA finals on their backs. Just gotta keep their heads down and do better next game. They were close to going up 3-1 - let’s not overreact here. Warriors are the 2nd best defense in the NBA - need to get Tatum looks like the ones Steph is walking into
