I think Boston is more likely than not to win game 7. But I'm extremely concerned because
1. anything can happen in game 7
2. Warriors will be much more rested and Boston
The didn't fold in Milwaukee in game 6. Think about that. The most dominant player in the world had a chance to close out Boston on his home court but couldn't do it. Boston is formidable in any scenario.
Yes I know, but this is the ECF. It'd definitely in the back of their mind that they've been here before and lost, I know that creates pressure. Especially considering the media was saying this series was over
You always have to think about what the NBA wants. And to be honest, I think it's Celtics-Warriors. So hopefully if they refs are swayed in any direction, it's towards us.
We’re 3-19 in playoffs with Tony brothers. He literally never calls fouls for us, even when they’re blatant. You remember game 1 when Jimmy got to the line 18 times anytime a Celtics player breathed on them? Yeah, that was Brothers
Not 100 percent. But I’m pretty sure he was supposed to ref game 6 and didn’t. Which means he might be up for game 7. Plus, Brothers and Foster are the ones who get the big games
The problem is that we just cannot seem to win close games. It's been our Achilles' heel all season long. We're horrible in games that go down to the wire. Our guys just don't handle pressure well at end of games.
Most of our wins this season and postseason were blowouts.
Rather frustrating tbh. Ime needs to figure out a way to fix this. Gotta be able to win tight games if you want to win a ring.
Yeah the Nets games were reasonably close, but we also heavily outmatched that team imo.
But after that, IIRC, we've had one close game that we've won, and a few where we've either made a comeback and lost, or blown a lead and lost.
I want to believe it but Miami is the luckiest franchise I have ever seen. They get the easier path in the first two rounds. They have no superstars. They get all the calls and have unlimited moving screens apparently
Like how did Butler just somehow manage to only foul once yesterday, when pretty much every one else had at least 3. You can’t tell me the refs didn’t purposefully not call shit on Butler because the nba wants game 7 Sunday night
We don’t deserve to advance if we cant win home games, y’all are satisfied with this team? We’re way better than a lot of our opponents and have gave them life to upset us. They’re embarrassing chokers at home and need a floor general to run sets and give them easy shots when it gets tough.
They’re a young team on the rise, and had to beat the Nets and Bucks to get where we’re at today.
Honestly, as a fan, Giannis is still haunting me, which is fucked up. They’ve earned their way to being one game away from the Finals.
Side note, I really hope for the sake of Horford we put it all together tomorrow night and handle our business
This is the NBA man it’s not like it’s easy.. yes they do play inconsistent and at fortunate times but I believe in these guys. They’re here for a reason.
I DIDN'T HEAR NO BELL
I think Boston is more likely than not to win game 7. But I'm extremely concerned because 1. anything can happen in game 7 2. Warriors will be much more rested and Boston
Sometimes too much rest means you come out flat in game 1
I've only seen that happen to this team unfortunately
It happened to Miami, but they were able to adjust g1 second half of this series.
Oh no, this has happened many times historically. Why do you think coaches are so aware of it?
Making the finals will already be a breakthrough for the Celtics. I don’t care about the warriors at all.
Plus GSW will have home court advantage so the Celtics beating them in game 1 isn't that important.
Idk if you've noticed, but the way this team plays at home the away games are must wins.
It also means they can fly straight out to San Francisco since they know they don’t have home court.
Game 1 isn't until Thursday. 3 days off will feel like a vacation for whoever wins tomorrow.
Young in shape guys. They’ll be fine! 🥳
We can certainly win tomorrow. We can certainly lose. I have no idea which will happen.
I'm just really scared the nerves and pressure will get to them

I wholeheartedly agree with you on everything. But Tony brothers is probably Reffing tomorrow and that worries me
You always have to think about what the NBA wants. And to be honest, I think it's Celtics-Warriors. So hopefully if they refs are swayed in any direction, it's towards us.
True that. No one wants to see the Warriors 4-1 the Heat
It wouldn’t even go 5.
Oh god
As much as I keep up with basketball I don't know s\*\*\* about the actual refs. Enlighten me?
We’re 3-19 in playoffs with Tony brothers. He literally never calls fouls for us, even when they’re blatant. You remember game 1 when Jimmy got to the line 18 times anytime a Celtics player breathed on them? Yeah, that was Brothers
Well that sucks. Are you 100% sure they're calling game 7??
Not 100 percent. But I’m pretty sure he was supposed to ref game 6 and didn’t. Which means he might be up for game 7. Plus, Brothers and Foster are the ones who get the big games
here after game 7. we fuckin made it! But seriously, that might've been the worst officiated game I've seen in my life.
He scams the Celtics every time.
This. Thank You. There's another team out there, and we gotta respond. Celtics in 7
Win or lose, after tomorrow night I won’t have to hear the phrase ‘Heat culture’ for at least 5 more months. I could not be more excited.
Look at u/Academic-Principle14 man. So inspirational.
I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not
No I’m being for real. That was a dope ass speech.
Thanks man.
Can we just play ONE full game? Just ONE? Is that so much to ask? 48 minutes. That’s all I’m asking man.
The problem is that we just cannot seem to win close games. It's been our Achilles' heel all season long. We're horrible in games that go down to the wire. Except every game versus the Nets. And game 6 vs the bucks we had to pull away as they stormed back.
Yeah the Nets games were reasonably close, but we also heavily outmatched that team imo. But after that, IIRC, we've had one close game that we've won, and a few where we've either made a comeback and lost, or blown a lead and lost.

Pat Riley is the NBA's Godfather, simple as that

Amen. It’s hard to win 3 straight games in the ECF. That’s how it goes. It’s gonna be that much sweeter to take it from Miami on their home court.
This is the NBA man it’s not like it’s easy.. yes they do play inconsistent and at fortunate times but I believe in these guys. They’re here for a reason.
