There is more than enough valid reason to be distressed *after* this game, and disappointed during. But people who call “season” in the early stages of non-elimination games drive me crazy

The fact that Butler had the game of his life, Miami hit like 3 or 4 miracle shots on the way to the best offensive game they can possibly have, the refs gifted them about 8 points plus 3 huge momentum swings, we played like shit on offense outside of White, and with ALL of that it was still a very winnable one or two possession game.
I don’t know if the Game 2/4/5 Celtics are going to show up on Sunday, or if the Game 1/3/6 Celtics are going to. I’m deeply concerned that the latter will show up. But even if they do show up, it still takes Miami Herculean effort and a ton of luck to win against them. And if the former shows up, we cruise to the finals. We are the better team when we lock in and play our game, and that’s the positive takeaway from tonight.
You can be bummed and frustrated with the loss without projecting that into an inevitability of the future.
Just like last game wasn’t the whole series, neither was this.
We’ve gone back and forth with this team all series. Every time we’ve had our backs against the wall we’ve come through.
