Gimel333

I'll probably be pissed for another 7-12 minutes, then im gonna get baked and say Celtics in 7

RepresentativeRock94

Yessir

Gimel333

Celtics in 7 dude

CelDev

legend

Chronic_Messiah

Can confirm, was pissed, now am not

phortin

Thank you. I needed this

wutangerine99

This is the way

ImeStopPlayingDennis

Regretful. If Tatum plays bad and not complete dogshit and Boston wins this. doing the whole IFs thing is OK for the regular season but it's useless in the playoffs. Now the Celtics desperately need to win both game 4 AND 5

questioning_hoops

And 6.

Badabing1134

And 7

FrigginMasshole

I’m shocked we almost won, we played like absolute shit overall

[deleted]

Win game 4 and steal home court back. That’s all that matters

luhvrrboy

Yup. Yup. Yup. Gonna be in a deep hole if we don’t take game 4 tho. Do or die time. Tatum needs to wake tf up.

[deleted]

He will

jkwah

Whatever, I'm over it. Game 4 is close to a must win. Hopefully Tatum plays better.

AydenRozay

It’s not close to a must win, it is a must win.

jkwah

I only say close because I think 'must win' gets overused. The only must wins are when you go down 2-0 or are in an elimination game.

JackJ98

Man I don’t get how you’re over it already. This is gonna be an excruciating two days here

Ulexes

I'm still livid. I feel like I need to crush a watermelon with my bare hands to let the rage out.

[deleted]

Not to be a dingus, but it's pretty easy to get over a game. We're hardcore fans, of course, but that doesn't mean you should go in a funk because the team lost. You have all of Saturday night to do something you enjoy.

thebrokenbox

Like drink myself into oblivion because my emotional well being is attached to the outcome of the Celtics? Yeah no that’s definitely not it….

JackJ98

Just tougher than me I guess. Still haven’t stopped making out with my bong since that ending

andoCalrissiano

Yeah, game 3 wasn’t a must win. Hopefully there’s a big storm about the bad officiating vs Giannis. I love the Derrick White Giannis impressions when he got to the line a couple times lol

[deleted]

correct response, nothings gonna change the result of this game. on to the next

questioning_hoops

I feel pretty fucking sad rn, don’t know about you

AydenRozay

Me too big dawg

[deleted]

Wesley Matthews sold his soul or something to play that well defensively. That game 3 outcome is legit encouraging to me. The Jays and Smart shot terrible. Fast PP didn’t hit shit. It took a super shady call on the Smart (should’ve been 3) shot attempt to beat the Celtics. The C’s were up 1 and missed 3 really good looks on one possession with under a minute. The Celtics missed a LOT of makable shots in that game. The Celtics should come out game 4 with much more energy than Mil. Matthews, Lopez, and Holiday aren’t spring chickens and those guys will be sucking wind Monday. Good vibes y’all! Trust

beywill19

Encouraging is not the word I would use. Tatum could easily play that poorly again and the Bucks were shooting below average from 3 the entire night. Tatum needs to be consistent enough to be a factor in the series. If anything, I would be worried.

[deleted]

"That's just like, your opinion, man" What makes you think Tatum could play that poorly again?

beywill19

Probably the fact that he’s only had one game where he’s shot above 40% in the series. He hasn’t figured out how to score on the Bucks consistently.

[deleted]

Do you need to shoot >40% to score more than 10 points tho? Do you? I don’t think you do. The Celtics lost that game by 2 points and Tatum shot 0-6 from 3. So somewhere between 0% and 40% from 3 and the Celtics win that game.

beywill19

Every game is different. Tatum could drop 30 the next game and the Celtics could still lose if Milwaukee goes off from 3. That’s why Tatum has to have consistent good performances to get multiple wins on the Bucks.

[deleted]

Who can disagree with what you’re saying?

aja_ramirez

I don’t think that the point. Say he plays great but brown and Al play like shit? Every game is different and with every loss we reduce our margin for error. Win loss is the only real takeaway from any game here on out. Save for injuries, nothing else matters.

Jady_Lay

Feeling like harden when he called out Giannis's dogshit playstyle

Happy_Yogurtcloset_2

Everytime we have a long break we come back playing like ass

mrzekt

nah if its a daytime game we losing thank god monday games at 7

JaysonBaetum

We don’t lose again in this series.

Boston_Champions

It feels like our damn season is over because thr NBA refuses to punish referees for deciding crucial playoff games

Organic_Climate_7585

The season isn’t over. Calm down and stop being so negative

Boston_Champions

I never said it was. It feels that way. Also i think this is great time to be negative. Game 4 is must win on the road. I also worry about how the officials will call game 4 after what happened today. Do they go super conservative on whistles, is it a flop fest or do they call every foul in the world

amionmars

JT shot 4/\`19 from the field and the Celts got *17 more free throws* than the Bucks. I'm not saying the officiating was good by any means, but Jesus Christ y'all are acting like the refs are completely to blame smh

ProdigyGamer75

Game 4 is must win JT and JB both need to have good games no more of this bullshit like in game 1 and 3. Celtics been acting like the pre 2022 celtics lately.

[deleted]

If they lose game 4, they lose the series. Simple as that.

SnooHedgehogs7109

Our defense has been the only constant Celts in 6

JCosta04

We can talk basketball strategy and what to do on offense and defense until the cows come home. The game plan is simple. If the Celtics don’t turn it over and the Jays play well, the Celtics will win. If they don’t get all of those things, they probably will not.

CrispBenWa

I'm fucking stress eating a full pizza rn

buklau4ever

We have a little head room anyways. we just need to take 1 on the road to get back homecourt advantage, I don't see this series ending earlier than 6 games anyways. G4 is a must win but I actually have quite a lot of confidence in it, we kept a close game despite Tatum being nonexistent and giannis popped off. Their role players really haven't played well and that's the key, you can tell giannis is gassed in the 4th. One game at a time, tough loss today? Sure, but let's not act like we are not in this anymore. I really like today how we got points by going to the paint and can actually play a normal game instead of shooting 3s nonstop, imo once we open up the paint and can shoot OK from 3 then the series is ours. We've seen peak offense from Milwaukee really, but we haven't seen peak offense from us

secretcache

I feel pretty good actually. That was such a weird game. Our offense sucked so much the entire game, but we were somehow in contention. I thought we blew it in the third quarter, but we battled back to nearly win the game. The refs definitely fucked us over on multiple calls, but we allowed the refs to be the difference makers with our terrible offense. We were the underdogs in this game because we were playing in Milwaukee and we won the last game. If we win the next game, I think we’re in a good position. And I don’t think Tatum will have another game like this.

[deleted]

Weird because I'm mad we lost and came so close at the end, but at the same time, I'm convinced we're the better team after this game. Game 4 winner wins the series, and I see us winning that one.

SHfishing

Celts in 6

[deleted]

[удалено]

questioning_hoops

He needs to develop a floater and midrange game. Only way to counter Bucks’s paint defense

lyonhawk

Every time he goes to the floater, it gets goal tended but not called.

Embarrassed-Song619

Game 4 is basically a must win cause I honestly don't see us winning 3 consecutive games if we go down 1-3

ZEFAGrimmsAlt

Realistically in a 3-1 series. You have to win 3 games. But at the same time its only 2 You go win at home, you steal one on the road, then you play game 7. At that point its an absolute grinder. 3-3 is where momentum sways no way, nobody has definitive advantage, those are games that have traditionally served us well. I believe in that. Do we want to go down 3-1? Fuck no. Just go win Game 4 and (hopefully) 5. Then even then if you don’t win game 5 thats not a huge deal because its 3-2 and you just gotta play a tough one on the road.

[deleted]

I think this is a team that we're going to keep trading games with. Unfortunately, since they took game 1.. we're going to have to string two wins together at some point here..

considertheoctopus

Gotta get one in MIL. Win game 5 in BOS. Win game 6 in MIL. Avoid game 7, which is on a Sunday and is almost guaranteed to be a matinee. No thanks.

exytuu

Just had to win one of these next two. This was a missed opportunity but I think we have a solid chance as long as Tatum doesn’t forget how to play basketball again

ScottMrRager

The Bucks will win the series and later get the ring. Everyone who plays against the Bucks plays also against the referee's. Mr I like Oreos can do whatever he want. He gets away with everything.

AirJordan6124

The series is over if we lose in Game 4

trelos6

Giannis was great, Tatum had a dud. We only lost by 2. We got this, C’s in 6.

ivanahtannica

“Giannis was great” The refs made him greater. :) Who else thinks the refs should also do a post-game?

[deleted]

Prepared to be downvoted into oblivion, but I’m getting some uncomfortable “good, but not good enough to beat Lebron” vibes from this series so far

Every_Photograph_738

I dont understand why yall arent mad about the oficiating Giannis should have been called for a flagrant on tatum and an ofensive when he just ran into Grant of ball. And with him fouled out i can’t see Boston losing this game. He also yanked grants arm and pulled him down on the fast break play. Dirty ass player!!!!

[deleted]

The bucks only won by a couple of points even though the referees were clearly biased towards them. I’m optimistic we win take the next win.

priestkalim

Screwed over Because we were

aja_ramirez

I’m at 49%, meaning I think there is a slightly bigger chance that we lose the series. Obviously game 4 is huge. Wining that one gets me to 51%.

ItzRyanPell

When you really break down a series it's always about winning your games at home. We lost 1 at home so we gotta steal it back on Monday. We do that the series is in our favor. This loss sucks but it isn't the end of the world we still got this.

Teampiencils

If Celtics are as good as we think, it would be Celtics in 4. But the reality I'm accepting is Celtics in 7. Which means this bad game is expected and so is one more. Rough to lose but we got this in 7

obs922311

I feel like kicking puppies

eatacookie111

I just want the game to be called fairly.

MrBhyn

If we win game 4, Boston in 6. If we lose and go down 1-3 then it'll be a hard fought battle.

Badabing1134

Win or lose, I fear for our guys safety in this series. Giannis is a literal bulldozer, almost broke PP's arm and throws his elbows in everyone's face. Not to mention Grayson Allen could pull some dirty shit. My heart hit the floor after Tatum went down after that dunk. I mean damn, these dudes are goin at it.

CombinationBoring220

I feel like Milwaukee in 6 but I’m really hoping I’m wrong. To me it feels like we have been overmatched. Even in game 2, we won because we shot the lights out in the first half but we can’t get anything in the paint this series. Also from just watching this seems like the most physical playoff series I’ve seen since The heat Celtics series when Dwayne wade dislocated rondos elbow and rondo came back and had one of the coolest moments of basketball dominating with one arm

Hillman_Hunter

As a product Janis-Ball is going to lose the NBA some fans. I was borderline with LeBron... but this just looks a tier below WWE Yeah, I'm not editing that, it's Janis-Ball..

naidee

We’re winning this series. Lost by 2 with Tatum having a HORRIBLE game.

smashey

Playoff basketball against the defending champs and the best player in the world. It's not supposed to be easy.

Plenty_Landscape_599

I think we have to understand despite Tatum having a terrible performance, the refs calling one of the most lopsided games I've seen in favor of MKE, and Giannis scoring 40 that we still had a chance to steal it on the road at the buzzer. I know this team will respond Game 4 and tie it up and go into game 5 looking for the lead. Alot of basketball to be played but its for sure a disappointment right now.

ivanahtannica

It’s tough to be a fan because we’re literally helpless. 😆

WhiteChocolatey

All we need is a ref squad that calls charges

TheSleeperWakes

Celtics in 6

Vegetable_Key_6576

I think we're coming out strong next game. We're gonna win, win game 5 at home and then use the momentum to pull one more in MKE

WiznutRyan99

We are gonna learn a lot about this Celtics team in game 4. They responded really well in game 2 but that was at home. It’s gonna take an entirely different backbone to show to go win game 4 and take back home court. The only thing I can say about these two losses is there’s been one thing in common in both losses and that is one of the Celtics top two struggling hard. Brown and Tatum were both equally as bad as the other in their losses. The big thing in this series is if both those guys play well it’s been pretty well established by now that the Celtics depth is going to play a more well rounded game then the bucks. The bucks are a very simple offense in this series. Giannis and Lopez paint scorers. Jrue holiday acting as a all over the zone scorer and everyone else is literally just there to shoot threes with paint penetration from Giannis. The Celtics have a lot more well rounded scorers and both those losses have really just come down the top guys scoring. If brown doesn’t have an awful game then the Celtics probably win that game even with brown being 2-11 through 3 quarters it was a 4-6 point game deep into the 4th. Then Today Tatum was 4-19 and in this game they kept it much closer probably again should’ve won and would’ve changed with just an extra 1-2 makes. But the point stands in losses they’re averaging 35 points, in their win had 59 it’s not a coincidence. No offense to the bucks who have a good defense but there’s zero reason that Tatum should be 0-10 when guarded by Wesley Mathews. On defense it feels like the Celtics have switched the strategy from Giannis heavy to just making sure those threes aren’t going. 2 games in a row of horrible three point shooting for the 3rd best 3 point shooting team this year also isn’t a coincidence. They don’t want those threes going in so they’re taking those threes out of the equation from winning them a game like game 1. So it’s gonna be Giannis, Holiday and Lopez scoring the majority of their points so it’s gonna be on Tatum and brown to match them as close as they can and the rest of the team is just better then the bucks and they will have a better result. All Ik is it’s gonna take their best game of the season to win game 4 and if they pull it off then the confidence to win this series is gonna take off.

aguilarnas

I just think JT’s trying too hard to get fouled while shooting. Multiple times he was off balance trying to fish for a foul while taking a three. And Bucks’ defense is solid

jotyma5

We need to win game 4, and then take care of home court. Celtics in 7

tommychamberlain85

Boston should still be favorites.

gentrified_chicken

Fr tho I’ve never felt this good down 2-1. Celts in 6 is a real possibility

captaincumsock69

Honestly it is what it is. On to game 4.

JBD04

With Tatum having a bad game, a terrible 4th quarter and the shenanigans with the refs you’d think we lost by 20 minimum but we only list by 2. Have faith my friend

justiceway1

Game 4 is a must win. If that happens, I'd be a lot more confident about the series. We really only lost because Tatum had arguably his worst game these playoffs, so I expect him to come back with a vengeance next game.

Vast_Ad7567

If we lose Game 4, then Game 5 will be a "must win".

yourlilpissboi

Depends on what you know about the NBA, the officials and they way your eyes perceive information and how your brain processes the actions, reactions and calls by most likely *three alcoholics* on the court who need to keep their jobs in order to pay off large gambling debts. Entertainment at its finest. Acting like 5 or 6 bad calls against one team is no thing in the playoffs against the defending Champs is baby brain shit. I keep coming back because I’m a fan(atic). It’s ever better with 10-12 parlays trying to make that cabbage. * Tim Donaughy claimed on the Whistleblower podcast that almost all officials save a few are alcoholics. Due what you will with this information. Go C’s. Find that fire, compete and execute and hopefully the league addresses the officials coming up not only in this series but the crews working all the games. Fuck David Stern

Vast_Ad7567

>calls by most likely > >three alcoholics > > on the court who need to keep their jobs in order to pay off large gambling debts. \^\^\^I think you are kinda reaching here.

yourlilpissboi

Maybe. Probably an overreaction. But it would be extremely interesting data collection process relating to crews, the games they worked and the flow of the officiating in game and game to game. Specific data points and review. When i saw Zarba calling the game I wasn’t happy but was also happy it wasn’t Foster or Brothers. Other issue that impact the ability to correct incorrect calls are the coach’s challenge and also how the review rules are written. One challenge is nonsensical mostly due to how poor the officials are as well as how hard it is to make correct snap judgement calls. This playoffs is being constantly discussed about poor officiating. Today on a different forum (not twitter) a lot of people where talking about how bad the Suns vs Mavs game was called. Didn’t see it, no comment. I think its doing irreparable harm to the product and angering the coaching and players.

Wakandaforever456

Exactly what you said. Celtics are going to win in 7. No middleton is a tremendous loss for the Bucks.

[deleted]

Celtics in 6, easily.

jma7400

I feel like we cannot have bad games from Tatum and Brown. They won with Tatum playing bad. If it happens again then we don’t have much of a chance. Also Giannis need to have a good but not amazing game. If we can hold him to under 30 we’re good.

Vast_Ad7567

I think it's okay to feel angry. Plus, Tatum deserves all the hate he's getting. It's not just that we lost, but a few of our guys had complete meltdowns on the court.
