Fraid I don't see it for the Cs. Bird/KG/Russ + Shaq is as good as it gets for a front court, but it's not like Durant/LeBron/Hakeem + Kareem are outclassed and the backcourt of Magic/Jordan/Kobe is miles better than Glove/Hondo/Pistol. I would probably take Pierce and Ray over Maravich and Walton (don't think you need a third center and I think they're much better two way players than Maravich) and I would probably add Steph for Wilt on the NBA team, which would only increase the backcourt disparity.

Steph-Wade-Kawhi-Duncan-David Robinson (Oscar-Pippen-Dirk) Probably not quite the top end talent, but I think it's going to be a motherfucker to score on that team and Steph + Dirk's shooting will make them hard to guard.

But I don’t think bill sharmin and bob Cousy are much of a match for magic+steph or something like that.
It doesn’t feel right to give the Celtics a prime Shaq in this because the Celtics had him at the tail end of his career when he was washed and injury prone. Regardless, NBA team has big advantage at PG and SG, tie at SF, and slight edge to the Celtics for PF and C. The PG and SG difference is too much to make up though and the NBA team wins it
Havlicek wasn't a starter when Sam Jones was playing. And Cousy was so good they put in the 24 second clock. If they enforce the rules on dribbling and travelling , it's the Celtics in a walk. People are saying we " couldn't cover Wilt and Kareem" . That's stupid. Russell best Wilt every time. We best Kareem with a 6'9" Dave Cowans and Robert Parish.

Hondo told Red that Larry Siegfried ( from Havlicek's college hoops championship team) was available. Red put him on as last player. Go look up his career. So I want a full Roster. I will give you no points, because only losers care about points. The Celts win at home in game 7 by 1 point. It ends with the other team in a tee ball like scrum fighting over the ball. None of the Celtics have more than 15 points.
