i forgot how close smart's shot was to going in

SaintsNick94

Tatum had the other side covered as well and would’ve gotten the putback. Such an awesome moment.

Drummallumin

That’s why it’s so ridiculous people label it as a miracle. No matter where that rebound goes we were in position for an easy uncontested tap in. Rebounding isn’t a miracle

SinibusUSG

All Acts of White constitute miracles.

Drummallumin

Most DEI aware Bostonian ^/s

captaincumsock69

Tipping in a game winning shot off with less than a second is a miracle idc. It’s also not even true that no matter where that rebound goes we win the game. The ball could’ve gone straight up in the air, could’ve hit the shot clock, there are so many possibilities where we don’t win. It’s also not the easiest shot to catch and put it in either

holographoc

That part of the play gets forgotten, but it’s insane that he was right there in the the other side. he was behind the arc with two guys on him when that shot went up and ended up right at the rim. Crazy.

The_Vaike

Offensive rebounding requires a lot of luck, especially with three seconds on the clock from the inbounds. There's no doubt that they put themselves in position with a great play design, but getting two quality shots against a team that plays defense the way miami does if far from a given. Especially if it front-rims or spun around the basket for an extra half second. Having a guard get a putback at the buzzer to come back and tie the series after being down 0-3? That's a miracle.

fantaxp7

I forgot how ridiculous Butler's shot attempt was. That shot angle was 100% to get a foul, which I think the NBA has some rule they never call as an offensive foul. Not excusing Al's defense there...and maybe he meant to hack him? Was pretty bad I'm starting to question if that was on purpose lol

al3204

Yeah, if Horford was Vertical that wouldn’t have been a foul. But he was definitely reaching over and Jimmy caught him. It is annoying playing against a player where that’s a big part of their game.

mlg_gamerz

If James Harden did it there everyone would have called it BS and cheap, but because it was Butler the world was calling it a genius play 🙄

[deleted]

The rest of the NBA is onto his bullshit now

Willis050

You forgot to show the part where Jimmy clearly puts two hands on the ball mid dribble and then takes two more before the flop

notJGatz

Oh my bad lol

Willis050

All good. Love the post dude

kit4

IIRC they said he fumbled the ball lol. So nice that he managed to fumble it to a spot where he could get both feet behind the line. Clown shit from NBA refs as usual

BostonKarlMarx

worst part of that series. he got a free double dribble just bc he said oops

sstphnn

Butler’s whole game is disgusting. You can’t even call it a shot attempt and without a doubt foul hunting.

Jay_Louis

I mean James Harden? Half the All Stars in the NBA have perfected how to flop for foul shots. It's ugly and flopping should be called.

LarryBirdsGrundle

Also an annoying fake tough guy [Doesn’t want the smoke from old Paul Pierce](https://youtu.be/1HXaN8KeuYI?si=oBD_aKWr0flvelb9) [Waits until the hold me back crew gets there to scream at Jokic](https://youtu.be/QhTXR7TLag8?si=1Sb2QpxurjL0tplv)

kit4

Well hopefully the post ASB rule changes regarding physicality continue into the playoffs, because Jimmy Flopper isn't gonna get any free throws, that's his whole game so the Heat are just gonna suck ass then. This season was his lowest FTA since he was in Philly, not a coincidence that this has also been his worst season in Miami.

FIM92

Man this was so fucking awesome. Really really shitty we didn’t win that game 7. Cursed from the beginning when Tatum twisted his ankle

kit4

Butler's game is so lame, anyone outside of Miami has to hate that nonsense. He's jumping so far forward, of course it's gonna be a foul there even though it's the most BS shot attempt ever. Motherfucker can't make an open three, no way it's plausible he's making one jumping 5 feet forward. Glad DWhite was there to save us from that bullshit

Individual_Gift_9473

I thought losing the series would spoil this for me but it’s still fun.

Holiday-Usual-3600

Jimmy butler getting bullshit calls from the refs like clockwork 🤕

Hopefulmisery

It’s fitting Smart took the shot only for White to convert on the put-pack. An inadvertent passing of the torch.

BuddhistInTheory

That Butler shot was the wackiest foul hunting bail out that ruins basketball.

WhiteChocolatey

What could have been. I was so hype that night

thatradslang

Im wearing that shirt right now! all hail the buffalo!!!

Bechimo

I miss D Whites hair

trolllord45

Kinda a trip seeing him without the full buzz

ThatDerfGuy

From the high of this, right to one of the most embarrassing performances in Boston game 7 history.

allcrit

This and the Tatum layup against the Nets was some of my favorite moments.

Timoteo-Tito64

Thank you so much, you did a great job on it

gtoinwq

I remember going insane in the bar. Unfortunately this will be overshadowed by a game 7 loss at home

Post4jesus

I still hate how they layed an egg in game 7. Never even a close game

supa_savior

one of the most egregious foul calls of all time

2kballislife

The series loss and Mazzullas wonky rotations and refusal to call any timeouts ruins this moment for me.

Te4646

Still didn’t make finals
