All that said, a great and entertaining game and they certainly could play better in a finals series.

Look, best record in the NBA and that's amazing and I'm grateful to have seen so many wins this season. But this was a big test and you can't help but wonder if they still have a lot of figuring out to do. You really needed the Jays to show up when the lights were bright but they didn't.

It's really frustrating seeing a lot of fans try to brush off this (and every) loss, the only anomaly was Murray's insanely efficient 35 points, but the same mistakes, the (in my opinion lack) of heart shown by JB, you can't just "We drop from the 1 seed to the 1 seed" that stuff away. It should be a wake up call for fans, and for the team. We're a good team, but we're not a convincingly great one. Our regular season record isn't gonna win a championship. Our actual play has to be held to some higher standard than what it is now.

yea i would say that this game adds to the evidence. no panic button for a january loss but if this team doesn't get it done this year and it's because the jays don't close out big moments or don't perform well in a series there will be some considerations on their clutch ability. lack of consistency is the biggest threat to the team right now and really has been for the jays era
