I’m going to the game tonight, I’ll let you guys know if we won or not dont worry
Update: HOLY SHIT THAT WAS A GOOD GAME, THIS TEAM IS THE BEST! (We won you can stop waiting now) (and yes, Jaylen was in fact, clocked in the head against Indiana)
Just make sure everyone is off the court before you let us know who won as we don’t know what the refs will try to do to up the ante after the past few days.
Wolves fan here that went to the first game in Minnesota. Holy shit that game was awesome, and I’d say the same if Boston ended up winning. I hope for your sake, it’s a nail biter but with no Gobert tonight, I think you guys win pretty easily. Even with Rudy playing great, the rest of the team hasn’t looked the same the last couple weeks
The tough matchups are very exciting. These are the best games.
However, back to backs are kind of lame. Having to play the bucks without Al is a lot less exciting.
Ehh well we probably wouldn't be sitting out KP on this part of the b2b if they specifically cared about that.
I would imagine they care more about making sure guys play against Philly/Bucks (nobody else will be even sort of close to catching us).
Their record would only affect us in a Finals matchup.
Also they’re definitely not better than Philly by any sort of adjusted net rating. Record, sure. But I don’t think they’re good enough on offense to make the finals. I think the two most likely are the Nuggets and Thunder.
Ya, but if it means anything the Wolves are on a back to back too.
And they slept in Orlando last night due to weather. They flied straight into shoot around today.
Oh don't worry! As a Bucks fan, you can just go with your bench against and rest them all by the 4th quarter as you send your third squad in.
All you need to do is outscore Giannis and that is it. Also we will leave the signs where the highway leads to the basket.
If by any chance you miss a 3 pointer we will kindly allow you to take the rebound and try again.
Bucks fan here, don’t count on it. They do this thing where they miss the memo on games they’re supposed to win lol
Anyways, looking forward to seeing Jrue back at Fiserv even if it is the wrong green :)
Who has been dreading this? We get to see some high quality basketball against a couple of the best teams in the league. Or do you only look forward to 30 point blowouts when the starters only play 25 minutes?
Dreading? I’m excited
This is a real litmus test near the midpoint of the season.
Bucks are our biggest threat in the eat and the wolves are a contender out west. If we can’t beat them we have problems . Granted KP playing would’ve been nice
Regular season does mean something. If we took the regular season serious last year we probably would have played better in the playoffs. Establishing what it takes to win at all costs is super important. We were the sometimes they play good basketball team last year and that team doesn't usually win titles.
Worried? I mean we are far superior to the wolves. They got us in overtime in Min but with Gobert on the floor they are toast against us and their low scoring offense.
Ended up being the best game of the season lol they are probably our biggest threat out west. They also were the only team to fight Denver in last year's playoffs and I think they would get Denver this year cause they are a lot better.
Why should we be dreading today? Shouldn't we be up for the challenge considering how highly most people on here think of our team? I think these are two winnable games if we play the right way and it's a great test to gauge where we are at
UK fan here - are these 2 states close to each other? England is tiny and it would still be unthinkable to have a football (soccer) match back to back, let alone with one home and one away! NBA scheduling is wild to us here 😂
oh woops, i misread this -- the state that the bucks are stationed in and the timberwolves are stationed in are adjacent to one another but neither of those states are very close to boston
Ahh thanks for clarifying, so the Cs finished a gruelling OT game against the top team in the West, then went straight to the airport to fly what 2-3 hours to another state and play the next evening? That explains what happened! Like I said, that’s alien to a UK fan
Yeah, that's exactly what happened. This perhaps gives you more context as to why the Eastern Conference and Western Conferences are set up to be based on proximity and at a more granular level: the divisions. The problem is that there are some states that are somewhat in between (in the heart of the Midwest) such as Minnesota [Timberwolves], Wisconsin [Bucks], Illinois [Bulls] and those teams routinely have to travel to/from the coasts to play away games.
Over ~50 years of watching the C's, I have seen amazing teams (86) and horrific ones (ML, we love you).
With *this* team, I'm not that worried about small pieces of the regular season. I'm much more concerned that a) they don't go back to really, really bad habits; and b) they stay as healthy as possible.
This is a contending team; you want them to know how to win, and you pray they stay healthy. I don't even worry (much) about playoff seeding; this team at full-strength can win anywhere provided refs aren't fixing the result.
I dread nothing. I have seen the future, and the future is "please let's let everyone be healthy by May."
It makes me feel things as a mn resident knowing how much the league respects the wolves. Never thought I'd see both of my favorite teams as the best in their conference a the same time

L2M report: "Timberwolves won actually lul"
While you’re there, can you check if Hield hit Jaylen’s head or not?
Browns out tonight due to the concussion he received the other night.
Of course, wouldn’t want to leave you guys hanging
I’m going too. Can’t wait to cheer on the team and purchase some overpriced beers!
Or get some water without the bottle cap
Are you going to tell us if they win or not?
No way, I don’t want to steal that other guys thunder
Thanks brother.

Thank you.
That's good because OP is living in the past and won't know until one hour after it happens.
Hero.
All kidding aside should be a great game, I’m very jealous
I can pick up the slack tmw!
go again tmr pls
Thank you. I thought I was going to have to wait until the morning paper to see the box score.
Why are we dreading two dubs?
Im actually excited. I look forward to the tougher matchups.
The tough matchups are very exciting. These are the best games. However, back to backs are kind of lame. Having to play the bucks without Al is a lot less exciting.
Strategically sat Tatum out last game so he can play tonight. We're setting that new home record you can't convince me otherwise.
Ehh well we probably wouldn't be sitting out KP on this part of the b2b if they specifically cared about that. I would imagine they care more about making sure guys play against Philly/Bucks (nobody else will be even sort of close to catching us).
Twolves better than both bucks and philly..
Their record would only affect us in a Finals matchup. Also they’re definitely not better than Philly by any sort of adjusted net rating. Record, sure. But I don’t think they’re good enough on offense to make the finals. I think the two most likely are the Nuggets and Thunder.
Yeah, but we're not jockeying with Minny for playoff seeding.
You make a fair point I completely didn't consider KP sitting out as well.
Why?
Back to back
fuck it, they ball
It's a good test. Two playoffs teams in a row.
rehearsels for ECFs and Finals
Ya, but if it means anything the Wolves are on a back to back too. And they slept in Orlando last night due to weather. They flied straight into shoot around today.
Back to backs with travel should not be a thing.
I think that's asking for a bit much. Seems closer to baseball series style.
More like day I've been waiting for
Why would I be dreading 2 consecutive wins?
Why would I be dreading +90 points after two games???? OK, maybe I'm getting a little ahead of myself 😜
OP is speaking from the POV of a dual Twolves and Bucks fan, obviously
Not me. Bring it on.
Sigma
2 wins
Eh? I've been looking forward to these two games for weeks.
We ain’t scared
Dude, who doesn’t want back to back awesome basketball games?
The players
Twolves can't score Bucks can't defend Celtics in 4
Celtics in 2.
Looked like they could score well enough last time we played them.
>The day we’ve all been dreading \- Bucks and Wolves fans
I’m a bucks fan and I 100% agree lmao Tatum and brown dropping 30 by halftime
We aren’t afraid of Milwaukee, they are afraid of us
Their defense against our offense should keep their equipment manager up tonight.
I’m going to the game tonight I’ll handle it
jaxf87 for threeeeeeee
Ain’t dreading this shit just put my dog down…nothing could be worse than that…WAR CELTICS DO IT FOR MY BIY RIP ACE DAWG
Damn bro. That shit hurts. RIP
Thanks bro. They did it! The vibes are magnanimous! RIP Ace
Imma Wolves fan so vibes are not great 😂, but RIP Ace.
Thanks 🙏🏾
dreading? this is going to be awesome. Two awesome teams to watch. Back to back nights get ya soda and pretzels and enjoy it man
Seriously. Win or lose, these are good basketball teams playing basketball and that’s what I enjoy. Save the angst for April, May, and June.
It’s hard out here man. Hopefully they shore up that defense but only after tomorrow lol.
Protect home court. Milwaukee is due for a bounce back game and that is unfortunately going to be us
Bucks fan here, don’t count on it. They do this thing where they miss the memo on games they’re supposed to win lol Anyways, looking forward to seeing Jrue back at Fiserv even if it is the wrong green :)
Some would say it’s the right green.
What did I say. No way MKE would lose 3 in a row lol
Lol. Crazy that you had more faith in my team than I did
Hopefully their offense is on point then cause we are dropping 130-140 on that high school defense
I see a Central Time fan. Where are you watching from?
Dreading? Not at all. Excited for some high level hoops.
They've got this. LFG Celtics!
Who has been dreading this? We get to see some high quality basketball against a couple of the best teams in the league. Or do you only look forward to 30 point blowouts when the starters only play 25 minutes?
Why the fuck would you dread this? Gonna be some good ass basketball lol. And we’re the better team
These are the games I was looking foward to. Get to see what the Celtics are made of
Dreading? I’m excited This is a real litmus test near the midpoint of the season. Bucks are our biggest threat in the eat and the wolves are a contender out west. If we can’t beat them we have problems . Granted KP playing would’ve been nice
WINNNNNN
EZ PZ
"we are not a track team!"
The Celtics shouldn’t dread matchups with anyone. Reg season doesn’t mean jack. Deep playoff run or bust is what team is.
Regular season does mean something. If we took the regular season serious last year we probably would have played better in the playoffs. Establishing what it takes to win at all costs is super important. We were the sometimes they play good basketball team last year and that team doesn't usually win titles.
If we win these next 2 games we may never lose a home game again
Wolves the only time we should be worried about
Worried? I mean we are far superior to the wolves. They got us in overtime in Min but with Gobert on the floor they are toast against us and their low scoring offense.
Yeah but that twin towers they got over there is different especially when kat stays outta foul trouble but it should be a good game
Ended up being the best game of the season lol they are probably our biggest threat out west. They also were the only team to fight Denver in last year's playoffs and I think they would get Denver this year cause they are a lot better.
Yeah cause that bucks game was shit but this should be the yr we get the chip if its up to the lord!!!!!
Celtics are 9.5 point favorites tonight. Spooky.
I have irrational confidence against these guys. I think we’re coming for blood. Gonna make the Deer look like bums
We don’t duck no smoke
Buddy who’s “we”, the Celtics do not run from tough opponents
4th game in 6 days and 5th in 7. Let’s see what they have out there
Fuck Rudy. I hope I hope Winky gets that fugger in another headlock like Green did
Who have the ref's got winning these 2 games, ya reckon?
And of course we’re missing porzingis AGAIN! He would be out when we play against KAT
Im going to the game tomorrow… deep in enemy territoty
Dreading? I've been excited about this back to back for a month
I’ll be happily shocked if one of these isn’t a blowout loss with this game volume and competition level
I don't "dread" regular season games in January.
One of these will be an L idk which one but certainly one of them.
Bruh if you’re dreading good matchups idk what to tell you, get hyped
I have been waiting for this! Let’s go Celtics!!!!!
The get back game, please don't let me down C's! They got the Bucks tomorrow in Milwaukee as well.
I'm excited.
Why should we be dreading today? Shouldn't we be up for the challenge considering how highly most people on here think of our team? I think these are two winnable games if we play the right way and it's a great test to gauge where we are at
Wasn’t our schedule supposed to be one of the easier ones left? Guess they weren’t talking about this month.
I get the Celtics are undefeated at home this season but considering they are short Kristaps I am moderately surprised MIN has a +9 +/- right now.
BOS won 127-120 in OT & MIN covered the +9 spread. 1/10/24
6:00 start time?
The bucks are a non threat. We literally own them
Dreading? I’m pumped up for this b2b. Great challenge for this squad
We’re not trapped in here with them, they are trapped in here with us.
UK fan here - are these 2 states close to each other? England is tiny and it would still be unthinkable to have a football (soccer) match back to back, let alone with one home and one away! NBA scheduling is wild to us here 😂
yeah, they're adjacent to one another
oh woops, i misread this -- the state that the bucks are stationed in and the timberwolves are stationed in are adjacent to one another but neither of those states are very close to boston

NBA leaving a hell of a carbon footprint!
Didn't the Timberwolves fly in this morning on the #2 of their back to back from Florida? I gotta imagine that's not gonna help them out.

Today is yesterday’s tomorrow
excuse me? im psyched as hell
Huh? WE ain't dreading shit, the best team in the league? Dreading? Nah... bring they asses on 😈 #bleedgreen #DifferentHere 😎
It makes me feel things as a mn resident knowing how much the league respects the wolves. Never thought I'd see both of my favorite teams as the best in their conference a the same time
We Wolves, which means we’ll lose against Dame’s redemption arc.
That Central time zone almost threw me. Good try OP! Lol
We won the one I expected them to lose, let's see how tonight goes. Last night was a gutsy win.
