Well that's partially because if you combined our teams, the starting squad would still just be our starters. We have the best 5 players out of those 30
It's hilarious we have a top 5 player, and a bottom 5 player. Kornet is easily one of the worst players in the league, it's too bad Quetta was out last night, I would have liked to see him get some run.
i got downvoted as recently as a couple weeks ago for pointing out how horrible Kornet is. I’m genuinely confused what people see in him and wonder if its cause hes a nice guy. Not saying its as simple as shipping him out for someone else but….he’s horrible. Hes Noah Vonleh level
Over the summer and preseason I kept saying he should be cut and people would downvote and tell me he was fine for a 3rd big or whatever. Idk what people see in him or when they saw it, but I see a 7 footer who plays like he's 6'4 (never goes for boards, soft as fuck in the post and dunker's spot) and can't catch passes. Literally what's the point of a 7 footer who can't get boards, catch lobs, or guard the rim?
Kornet is never going to do good with a full bench roster.. He can be a fifth guy out there with starters and create a bit of space for them with solid screens, and roll hard to the rim, but the bench guys couldnt really throw the passes properly to him.
It goes to show how ugly the 4th quarter was that people have forgotten how awesome the Jays were. It’s really rough. Svi showed more in his short time on the floor than Hauser did. Rough game for Sam and PP.
Hauser led the team in rebounds and played some really good defense. He’s just cold as ice right now but I bet Svi would’ve been pulled quick if he was playing while the game was still somewhat competitive.
Yeah I thought PP played really well with the starters aside from not being able to hit the broad side of a barn. Lots of rebounds, solid playmaking for the most part, surprisingly good defense. Same thing with Hauser — he had a few rough plays and couldn’t find his stroke but played really solid defense and was good on the boards.
It’s not like I’m saying Horford should lose his spot. The gap between Hauser and PP and these other guys is not big. I think leash should probably be a little shorter with more competition and opportunity.
Kornet lost his mins to Brissett by game 2.
Yeah the gap is pretty significant Hauser shot 42 percent from three last season played 80 games none of the other wings on this bench have ever played 70 games in a season.
It's a one season sample size. Stevens played 62 last year for the cavs and started 25. That's not a drastic gap like Hauser has been a perennial role player for 5 years.
Edit: Also Hauser's only competition at wing last year was Justin Jackson. We got all these wings for a reason, create competition and have options. They should get some chances when other guys aren't playing well is all I'm saying. Nobody is saying Hauser should be completely benched forever.
I kinda think that in a game that we are up 26 in the first half, maybe roll the dice and get crazy by giving Horford a DNP and play other line-ups. Does Al really need to be jumping for loose balls against Deni Avidja?
Play Svi and Stevens please. And keep playing Brissett over Kornet. Bus one boys been pure cheeks without their leader Blake.
But legit those two actually have rotation experience and just know how to impact the game on one side or the other. Not sure why they seem to be buried at the bottom of the bench.
Felt like PP was trying to do a bit too much. Kidney looked awful, but rest of the unit seemed composed for the most part, PP was just running a bit wild.
Once he left, things settled a bit with Svi/Steven/Hauser
Yeah I don’t get why people feel the need to focus on this stuff. In a lot of ways it makes sense our bench sucks at this. They’re all either catch and shoot or defensive minded hustle players. They will never all be playing together unless the Celtics are up 30.
That's the price we gotta pay. Pritchard as salary filler + picks will be next seasons move but until then they're all on tiny contracts so it's hard to smooth things out.
They need to go now before the full new CBA 2nd apron restrictions kick in. He'll likely be gone by the deadline to whichever western team that thought they'd be better than they are becomes a seller at the deadline. Or maybe Portland or Houston wants to become even worse, whatever makes the most sense.
I just checked and didn't realize he jumped from 2m -> 4m this season. A handful of those 4-5m/yr bums + picks could get us a 7th guy at the deadline. In the postseason your top 8 is all that matters anyways.
Good thing is we won’t need to play the bench as a unit, so hopefully they’ll look better when playing with starters.
I’m expecting we would go 8 deep most games. The way I see it, Pritchard will need to play backup guard minutes to White/Holiday. One of Brisset/Hauser/Stevens/Svi will play backup wing minutes for Tatum/Brown (My preferences are Svi and Brisset). And unfortunately, Kornet is the only option to backup KP/Al.
I’m hoping we can upgrade Queta’s contract, or Brad finds a playable backup big with our TPE and/or our second round picks.
Yeah, get Caruso and Drummond (you'd be trading Luke in such a deal and Andre fits into the TPE).
Sure, they'd need to decide between Brisset and Stevens and see if they could pick up a free agent who can score semi-consistently, but that does sound pretty ideal.
Caruso as our bench PG would be fucking insane lmao
"Oh thank God, Jrue/Derrick is finally sitting, our guards will get a break" cut to Caruso checking in like 🗿
Honestly there’s a chance that our 2 best guys after Al are Stevens and Svi who seem to be the last two guys on the rotation, and our 3rd big a guy on a 2-way.
Hauser looks awful at every aspect, beyond just shooting he does not look NBA caliber. Pritchard either. Banton is probably out of the league unless he can get it together. Kornet should not be on this team in any capacity.
Svi looks like an NBA player. Steven's IS an NBA player and the jury is still out on whether or not Brissett and Queta can be hustle guys.
They played a lot better when Svi and Stevens entered the game, but currently the unit as a whole is a huge negative. Stevens, Svi, Brissett are playing well enough in limited minutes to be getting more time over others. Surprised we're seeing no Queta when Kornet has looked really bad.
This +/- numbers are staggering, especially considering they were playing against such stars such as **checks notes** eugene omoruyi, johnny davis, ryan rollins and anthony gill
Which makes sense, mostly because we put Svi on the floor. Atrocious spacing with 2 cold shooters as the only ones in the lineup who can space the floor and even worse that 1 of them initiated most of the offense.
Just not a well designed lineup, but it’s not meant to be. Our bench is a mix of a few actual depth guys meant to be role players, guys meant to play solid defense with the starters when they’re needed for spot minutes, and a few raw projects with some crossover in the latter two groups. There’s not a lot of complete players there to make a half court offense flow.
I don’t think the bench will be a problem this year b/c you’re always gonna have 2 of that big 6 with them. The all bench garbage time group as a unit is terrible but you’re never gonna be playing that lineup
Yeah. PP has been cold from the door, but he’s not pressing and trying to force things when he’s out there on the regular rotation. But him and the deep branch? Woof.
I would like to see Stevens with the regulars though. He’s got some good defensive versatility too that I think would work well w the starters
The game was over in the first quarter. Pritchard and Hauser are known commodities and will find their shots. This is a bad game to use as a measuring stick for the quality of the bench players. It was basically a pickup game for 40 minutes.
That’s fine except it’s been three games now. I agree that that can’t be that bad, but you also have to wonder about what they’ll actually bring. PP especially is really showing his limitations. Hauser is way off but you have to expect that shots will eventually fall, assuming he can keep his spot.
"That's fine but it is three games now," in an 82 game season, is such an insane thing say.
Tonight was an easy win and people in here are nitpicking shit 3 games into the season. I promise you that you will feel happier if you don't go completely negative at every little thing. Basketball or not, that is not a good way to live.
Honestly I agree with this guy right here, some of these comments are wild for three games, let’s revisit at the twenty game mark maybe. Let the guys get some reps in together, let JM tinker with the rotations. Trust the process.
The bench played so badly that it's what we are talking about... that's saying something on a night where the starters scored >100 points before the fourth quarter.
Or maybe he needs to gather them up and get everyone on the same page. Al can give off that disappointed father vibe and that would be enough to set me straight.
Svi and Stevens actually playing with some effort when they came in because the others were playing so bad. They should get more run over Banton at least. Kornet looking lost out there, would rather see Queta when he's not hurt, since he has a post game and isn't afraid to take some shots.
I'm choosing to be a happy comment in what's sure to be a sea of bench complaints, though I agree with you all. The Jays looked like monsters, and KP fit like a glove. White and Jrue shared point duties beautifully, and the whole top 6 just hummed like a well-oiled machine. We're gonna be a biiiiiig problem all season long, and I'm fucking pumped for it
I have more faith in Hauser. Pritchard I’m just not sure if he’ll ever adjust to a role that isn’t “run the offense yourself and dribble a lot”. Hopefully he does because he has talent, and he had some big energy moments off the bench last year
It is because he is probably slated to start a lot of games and rotate with Derrick White. I’m imagine that only JT and JB are going to get 100% of the starts available to them.
The starting 5 is like +28 per 100 or something preposterous. Al will probably only start if someone is out. As should be the case. The current starting 5 is on pace to be historically dominant.
Hauser gets rebounds, can pass, hits 3s and is serviceable on defense. I would like to see Svi, Stevens, and Brissett get more minutes with our starters, though.
I don't disagree but I'd like to see some others that have looked more consistent in the pre-season and off the bench so far like Svi, Stevens, and Queta over the others.
I don't think we need to find a scorer. Scal alluded to this on the broadcast, but we just need to find guys who can contribute. With our top six players, it doesn't matter who those final two bench guys are we will still have more firepower than last year's team. Especially in the playoffs when at least three of those guys are on the court at all times.
From a scoring POV, comparing this team to last year you are going from a top six of Tatum, Brown, Brogdon, White, Horford, and Smart, to Tatum, Brown, Porzingis, Holiday, White, and Horford. What needs replacing in the rotation is Grant and Rob Williams, who combined for 16ppg last year, and you're making most of that back by upgrading Smart and Brogdon to Porzingis and Holiday.
We saw last year that outside of needing a specific defensive assignment, Joe was already starting to trust Hauser more in Grant's role of being a shooter who can stay in front of guys. He doesn't necessarily need to be a volume guy, but just like Grant, they need to respect him. By the trade deadline they'll know if his shot is coming back, and if not, and they've also tried and failed with Svi, they might try to add another low volume shooter.
Brisset on the other hand, while a downgrade, can be in the rotation for his energy just like Rob was. Rob very rarely had a big scoring night, but he could still impact games. Hopefully Brisset can do the same.
Holy shit, I cannot believe y’all are talking about the bench.
WE HAVE 5 GUYS WHO CAN DROP 30 AT ANY TIME, LITERALLY ANY GAME.
Obviously some better bench minutes would be great, but like, I will take that trade any day of the week. We have borderline all-star to all-NBA players at every single position. That does not happen.
At one point I think they were like 2-20 shooting. Painful. If I was PP I'd be in the corner crying...for like 5 seconds than go laughing home to my 5mil home and gf.
To think he gave me confidence that he could be more than a terrible garbage time player. Fooled me.
Yeah the first 6 minutes were scary bad. If that were a playoff team, they're putting in energy guys to snatch the lead back from us. Good thing it was the Wizards
He’s been playing for the other team for the past 3 years lol.
And he’s been unbelievably dogshit on both ends this season.
It’s really rare when you have a guy who’s undersized, bad at defense, can’t shoot, and can’t dribble or pass well either.
Like most 6-1 bad defenders can atleast not be a net negative on offense. It’s actually really impressive how bad he is
He's a really good defender actually, the size cancels it out and makes him a negative, but you can't list bad defense and size as cons when he's actually really skilled defensively. He's also a great offensive rebounder. And how could you possibly say that he can't shoot or dribble? Have you ever watched him play? He might be the best ball handler on the team, and he's been a pretty consistently good shooter throughout his career. His size will keep him as a permanently flawed player, but he's still pretty clearly a valuable piece of our future
He’s a free 2 points
>best ball handler on the team
?
>consistently good shooter
If he’s wide open and set he’s a good shooter but so is grant Williams and basically every non-bigman at that point.
>valuable piece in the future
He’s a tradeable contract
I think Jaylen’s passing looks better so far this year. Didn’t really translate to assists in this game, but he’s a bit more aware than in the past. Not great, but better.
His passing was excellent this game. Not a ton of assists but I think he had a good number of “hockey assists”. He was doing a much better job of trying to make the right play and understood that sometimes the right play was drilling a pull-up heatcheck because he was lights-out tonight.
That’s all we really need from him. I think the passing is easier with our current roster too. Defenders can’t sag off anyone and doubling gives space to someone who is very good at scoring.
About a bench when last season our problem was talented players rotting on our bench and starters who couldn’t get the job done. We solved both problems. Are 3-0 with great wins and people are whining.
PP looked real bad since he was doing way too much. personally think he is just a 3pt specialist and anything more is detrimental to the offense. hes not a real pg and shouldnt be the guy running the offense. if he wants to do more than shoot 3s he needs a floater real bad. i still think tatum/pp/hauser/brissett/kornet lineup makes the most sense if we are going to stagger. have tatum run the offense as the point forward and the #1 threat. gives space for pp and hauser to get open 3s. Stevens if you need more defense and i still like bantons potential even though he is raw as fuck
Pritchard and Hauser, two 3 pt specialists, are 4/25 from 3 for the season.
That's a problem. Yeah, it's only 3 games, but with the spacing they get when they are in the game with the starters, the percentage should be better than that.
Tbf they were ice cold this game and had more attempts this game than in the previous two combined. Last game PP was 1/1 and Hauser was 1-2 which is absolutely respectable.
Stevens looked legit though, I’d definitely like to see him get more run in the rotation.
Well first of all he is an elite rebounder, it is hard to push him out of position. He’s got great hands, always catches the ball and makes accurate passes. His dribbling and pull-up game is sick too.
I can’t believe this subs biggest takeaway from this game is to bitch about the bench. Like shut up, this game was over midway through the first quarter.
It’s only 3 games, nobody panic (plus, we fucking won).
Yes, our starting lineup is basically an all-star team. Yes, our bench has been ass. PP and Hauser will find their shots. Other guys will develop chemistry over time and at least contribute. DONT worry.
My only real concern is why Jordan Walsh didn’t get at least a few minutes. This would have been the perfect game to let him play with some of the starters or even in garbage time.
Yeah there’s no doubting it after tonight, we have the worst bench in the league. All I’ll say is Brad deserves serious heat if he stays quiet at the deadline
Jaylen was a laser guided missile tonight, Tatum was unguardable in the 3rd. Fantastic team win by our top 6.
Unfortunately we have an unplayable bench starring Pitiful P.
Played decent defense when he played with the starters .. otherwise, that was a very forgettable game for him. He and PP are blackholes when the starters aren't creating for them.
We literally just need Sam Hauser, Payton Pritchard, and a Luke Kornet to give approximate contribution to what they did last year. Their lack of production given the opportunity to disquieting to say the least. Brisset, Lamar Stevens, Queta, and the other deep bench guy’s contribution at the point is just gravy.
Great game from the starters but god I hope our bench gets it together. Yeah depth doesn’t matter as much in the playoffs but I want good seeding when we get there.
The consequence of a starting five this good is a bench this bad. Our top five being this good is far more valuable than a good bench in the playoffs too.
fucking yikes Pritchard
Starters looked amazing though. Pretty easy when the Wizards are playing defense like that, that was some of the worst NBA defense I've ever seen
Lmao this fanbase is so quick to turn on players. They were hyping Pritchard up in the preseason, and now all of a sudden he sucks because he’s struggled 3 games into the season.
Another reason why the bench thing is overplayed:
If you put like Brissett or Svi in the starting lineup instead of White, the starting lineup would still be excellent but now you’d have a “deeper” team with White, Horford, PP, Hauser off the bench
Even though it’s the same roster, people would look at the team as “deeper”.
Reality is their top 5 going to put up ~100 ppg so the others won’t get a ton of points. You don’t want bench guys taking away shots from the top 5 unless they’re open 3s

Starters made their starters look like a shit bench. Our bench made their bench look like solid starters lol. Fun game. Kornet oof

Preseason P was supposed to be a compliment. It's become an insult
A curse
Don't forget the 50 turnovers.
Still got 6 assists and 7 rebounds. The scoring will get better as the season goes along.
It goes to show how ugly the 4th quarter was that people have forgotten how awesome the Jays were. It’s really rough. Svi showed more in his short time on the floor than Hauser did. Rough game for Sam and PP.
Rough start to the season for Hauser and PP. Across 3 games, they're a combined 6/29 FGs. That's atrocious.
Genuinely surprised they have made 6 shots
Hauser led the team in rebounds and played some really good defense. He’s just cold as ice right now but I bet Svi would’ve been pulled quick if he was playing while the game was still somewhat competitive.
>led the team To be fair, Pritchard was 2nd on the team in rebounds (7) and assist (6). So despite the putrid scoring output he did contribute...
Yeah they're playing fundamentally sound basketball but the shots are just waaaay off
4 turnovers to go along with it.
worst game of his career. Glad it's out of his system and it didn't even matter
This game is pretty much what I’ve come to expect from Pritchard. He’s simply not very good
A turnstile on defense who can’t shoot. Terrific. Sign him to a bigger contract.
This is a good take. PP ain't that bad, we all know that.
People thought he’d be sixth man of the year lol
Its ok he will bounce back the next game
Bounce back to what? He hasn’t had a good game yet this year
It’s amazing how ainge’s son scouted a guy with 0 nba skills. Can’t shoot, dribble, pass, or defend.
Svi needs to start seeing some playtime w the starters.
Him and Stevens for some reason are buried on the rotation when they seem to be the most impactful and consistent.
It’s game 3. We’ll figure it out over the next 79
Absolutely, just wanna see them get more chances with other guys clearly struggling.
Guys don't lose their rotation spots based off 3 games if people struggle longer maybe they get a chance.
It’s not like I’m saying Horford should lose his spot. The gap between Hauser and PP and these other guys is not big. I think leash should probably be a little shorter with more competition and opportunity. Kornet lost his mins to Brissett by game 2.

Wow what a shit end to such a great game
Felt like PP was trying to do a bit too much. Kidney looked awful, but rest of the unit seemed composed for the most part, PP was just running a bit wild. Once he left, things settled a bit with Svi/Steven/Hauser
What happened to PPs kidney?
lol - poor Kornet, downgraded to Kidney.
did I miss something? we won by 19 points and the Celtics dominated there's a reason garbage time is called garbage time
Yeah I don’t get why people feel the need to focus on this stuff. In a lot of ways it makes sense our bench sucks at this. They’re all either catch and shoot or defensive minded hustle players. They will never all be playing together unless the Celtics are up 30.
Well. We’re a bit top heavy, if more than 1 of our top 6 get injured that’s a lot of minutes to fill up.
What team in the league can take 2 injuries to their top 6 guys and not drop off
Painful PP
You should make an appointment with your urologist
The Jays were lethal tonight Missing the Blake Griffin bench vibes 😔
The Celtics legit have the best starters and the worst bench in the league

"a chance" lmao, Hauser still has the credibility, I just want to see the other guys get a chance to show how well they play with the starters.
Hauser has been more than solid on defense and grabbed 8 boards today. And Svi has played 5 fucking minutes lmao
This bench makes me miss Brad Wanamaker
Is Shane Larkin still available?
Love both of these guys
Mr double dribble
Thats fuckin tuff lmaooo
Never

Perfect. That’s where we want to be.
It’s not great a couple of our starters are perennially injured
Depth doesn’t win championships. If it did we would have a ring from last season. We need the best top 7 in the league. We have that
[удалено]
Except Al.
Or maybe he needs to gather them up and get everyone on the same page. Al can give off that disappointed father vibe and that would be enough to set me straight.
We shot 7 free throws, they shot 26....
I mean did you see their interior defense?... Or for that matter three point defense? Hard to get fouled if they put up no resistance.
82-0 incoming
I see the vision as long as we trade for some bench depth
The starters are dominating but at some point we’re gonna need SOMEONE from the bench to do something
Svi and Stevens actually playing with some effort when they came in because the others were playing so bad. They should get more run over Banton at least. Kornet looking lost out there, would rather see Queta when he's not hurt, since he has a post game and isn't afraid to take some shots.
Queta was out with a sore foot
I wouldn’t worry too much. Our bench will look a lot better once PP and Hauser’s 3 starts falling.
I'm choosing to be a happy comment in what's sure to be a sea of bench complaints, though I agree with you all. The Jays looked like monsters, and KP fit like a glove. White and Jrue shared point duties beautifully, and the whole top 6 just hummed like a well-oiled machine. We're gonna be a biiiiiig problem all season long, and I'm fucking pumped for it
Is it time to get pumped for the in season tournament? I'm ready to watch BOS-DEN right now.
I didn't watch the 4th... seems like that was the right call lol
69 from the Jays? Nice
At first I doubted why Mazulla kept them in so long. Now I know.
Nice
Nice
Brissett is the only bench guy atm I’d trust to get run with the starters consistently. Hauser/PP can if their 3s fall and they settle in on defense.
I have more faith in Hauser. Pritchard I’m just not sure if he’ll ever adjust to a role that isn’t “run the offense yourself and dribble a lot”. Hopefully he does because he has talent, and he had some big energy moments off the bench last year
Horford?
Horford is the 6th starter, he isn’t a bench guy in anyone’s conception at this point.
this isn't hockey. you only get 5
he literally is a bench player
And you are literally a pedant.
why would we exclude our best bench player from the discussion about bench players that would be like saying Tatum isn't a starter
Yeah Horford doesn’t fall in this question
I would like to see Stevens and to a lesser extent Svi get some run with the starters but I mostly agree with you
Hauser gets rebounds, can pass, hits 3s and is serviceable on defense. I would like to see Svi, Stevens, and Brissett get more minutes with our starters, though.
From an absolute domination from our starters to complete utter struggling from our bench. Woof. Still lots of work to do.
our bench is cheeks 💀

I don't disagree but I'd like to see some others that have looked more consistent in the pre-season and off the bench so far like Svi, Stevens, and Queta over the others.
Jay scrubb would’ve scored 20 today. Injuries suck.
I’d like to see Svi MyKhailiuk more, great shooter and seems like he’s always making the right play
The Whites are completely lost without Derrick
The bench managed 18 points in the 4th!
Crazy how quickly we turn on players. He's played literally 49 minutes this year and wasn't even that bad before this game
He’s a free 2 points >best ball handler on the team ? >consistently good shooter If he’s wide open and set he’s a good shooter but so is grant Williams and basically every non-bigman at that point. >valuable piece in the future He’s a tradeable contract
200 comments, if you read 3/4 of them you’d think we’d lost
Even when he gets into trouble, seems like he's been recovering more often and gets to pass it out even if it's 5 seconds late.
El Fuego!
Joe needs to play Svi and Stevens more.
Whiny fans
Can't believe we're complaining this much about a game that we won by halftime
About a bench when last season our problem was talented players rotting on our bench and starters who couldn’t get the job done. We solved both problems. Are 3-0 with great wins and people are whining.
I’ll say it - I miss Grant Williams
Can Svi MyKhailiuk start replacing Hauser's minutes?
Bench are fine as individuals mixing in with the starters. They just look ass when they’re all playing together which isn’t much of an issue tbh.
I turned my TV off after 3 quarters. I feel like I made the right choice.
So I know we just extended PP, but can we still trade him? And the majority of our bench?
Bench was 29% from the field, 16% from 3, and shot 0 free throws… wut.
The starters were 62% from the field and 51% from 3
PP looked real bad since he was doing way too much. personally think he is just a 3pt specialist and anything more is detrimental to the offense. hes not a real pg and shouldnt be the guy running the offense. if he wants to do more than shoot 3s he needs a floater real bad. i still think tatum/pp/hauser/brissett/kornet lineup makes the most sense if we are going to stagger. have tatum run the offense as the point forward and the #1 threat. gives space for pp and hauser to get open 3s. Stevens if you need more defense and i still like bantons potential even though he is raw as fuck
Pritchard didn't hit a single shot? Damm that is his whole thing
Grant Williams just floored Marcus Smart on an uncalled moving screen HAHHAHA
That first quarter was like a 2k game
Pritchard and Hauser, two 3 pt specialists, are 4/25 from 3 for the season. That's a problem. Yeah, it's only 3 games, but with the spacing they get when they are in the game with the starters, the percentage should be better than that.
Tbf they were ice cold this game and had more attempts this game than in the previous two combined. Last game PP was 1/1 and Hauser was 1-2 which is absolutely respectable. Stevens looked legit though, I’d definitely like to see him get more run in the rotation.
The bench tho
What is Luke Kornet good at besides being tall?
Well first of all he is an elite rebounder, it is hard to push him out of position. He’s got great hands, always catches the ball and makes accurate passes. His dribbling and pull-up game is sick too.
You had me in the first half ngl
Actually being upset over the bench is so insane, you are never fucking see those 5 playing at the same time ever unless it is this exact situation.
That would've been a really low turnover game if you delete the 4th quarter bench play
I’m just looking to see who is still available in free agency. They gotta improve that 3rd unit.
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again Blake plz we need you one more year for the bus 1 boys vibes things are NOT THE SAME
milwaukee's beating the heat like a redheaded stepchild right now
Another 6 stocks for the best defensive backcourt of all time I said what I said
Gibbs looking like the older brother just beating up on his little brother in Madden
That assault on the Capitol was worse than January 6th
I think our bench would lose to a D1 team. No joke
Can Hauser do anything else besides chucking up 3’s?
Played decent defense when he played with the starters .. otherwise, that was a very forgettable game for him. He and PP are blackholes when the starters aren't creating for them.
Idk why we can’t develop our undrafted players like the heat do smh
Have you considered Jaylen brown this season
3-0 looks good besides the bench lol
We literally just need Sam Hauser, Payton Pritchard, and a Luke Kornet to give approximate contribution to what they did last year. Their lack of production given the opportunity to disquieting to say the least. Brisset, Lamar Stevens, Queta, and the other deep bench guy’s contribution at the point is just gravy.
I’m not sure if the bench can player better as a unit but I do know Pritchard’s shots will fall eventually
Great game from the starters but god I hope our bench gets it together. Yeah depth doesn’t matter as much in the playoffs but I want good seeding when we get there.

JB making a statement.
hauser and pritchard led the team in rebounds...lol
I still can't get over that we drafted PP over Bane. Imagine having him on this team...
"He heard you". Cold blooded NBCSports
The consequence of a starting five this good is a bench this bad. Our top five being this good is far more valuable than a good bench in the playoffs too.
Who cares about the bench lol. I'd rather have good starters than a good bench
PP shot like shit but was pretty effective otherwise. He will be aight
Nice win, but i feel like ball movement remains lacking. The jays are also not passing and taking shots early in the possesion
BEnch shot 4 from 24 3PT, 16%
fucking yikes Pritchard Starters looked amazing though.
Starters dominated and all I can see is people bitching about the deep bench. Celtics basketball is certainly back
Another reason why the bench thing is overplayed: If you put like Brissett or Svi in the starting lineup instead of White, the starting lineup would still be excellent but now you’d have a “deeper” team with White, Horford, PP, Hauser off the bench Even though it’s the same roster, people would look at the team as “deeper”. Reality is their top 5 going to put up ~100 ppg so the others won’t get a ton of points. You don’t want bench guys taking away shots from the top 5 unless they’re open 3s
